This place offers continental breakfasts. Unfortunately, the Italians do not fully understand what they are. There was scrambled eggs, but the cheapest "orange juice" from the market, salty piece of bread and a portion of cheap jam in a small plastic package. I didn't know whether to add the jam to the eggs, jam or to the small salty bun. price: 10 euros. conclusion: if you are in Italy, eat like an Italian - for breakfast coffee and pasta. Basta!. beautiful interior and surroundings. service not very vigilant

I recently visited Caffe San Firenze with my friends and unfortunately had an extremely disheartening encounter with the manager. The incident left me compelled to share my experience as it was marred by what I can only describe as rude and racist behavior. Upon entering the cafe, I was excited to explore the menu and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. However, my enthusiasm quickly waned when the manager, who seemed to have formed an unwarranted assumption about our financial capacity based on my appearance, made an offensive comment that left me both shocked and offended. In a moment that should have been characterized by hospitality and warmth, the manager callously remarked, "You know the prices here, right?" This insinuation was not only tactless but also carried a clear implication that people of my nationality, or perhaps appearance, would struggle to afford items on the menu. This incident is a stark example of discriminatory behavior that has no place in any establishment, let alone a space like a cafe. Such comments perpetuate harmful stereotypes, create an unwelcome environment, and tarnish the reputation of the establishment. I believe it is crucial for businesses to foster inclusivity and treat all customers with the same level of respect, regardless of their background. This experience at Caffe San Firenze was not only disappointing but also a reminder of the importance of addressing and rectifying such prejudiced behavior. I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate action to rectify this issue, reevaluate staff training on diversity and inclusion, and ensure that no customer has to endure such an unpleasant encounter in the future. Discrimination has no place in our society, and it certainly should not be tolerated within the confines of a cafe that should be a haven for all patrons.

Absolutely loved my experience at Caffe San Firenze! The coffee was exceptional, service was top-notch, and the added bonus of offering shisha made it a unique and enjoyable spot. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Florence!

We tried the pasta from the day menu and it was very tasty. The waitress was very kind and nice in Italian style. Considering the location, the prices are reasonable.

Very nice place, like the history of the place. The hot chocolate was delicious. The 0.50l water bottle was more than 3€ which is very overpriced. The waitresses were very nice. One of them forgot my water, but just a minor thing.

I had a wonderful meal here! The cafe was bright, very conveniently located in central Florence and had a lively atmosphere. We sat to order and staff were able to understand our broken Italian/English language and the food arrived quickly. The dishes were delicious and the portions were generous, and the cappuccino was incredible. There was an amazing selection of sweet food available too which looked very tempting. The food wasn't the cheapest but it was worth it for the convenience of eating right by the attractions. We would absolutely come back when in Florence again!

This is an amazing Cafe, extremely friendly staff who spoke great English. They couldn't do enough for us. The pastries crumble so softly into your mouth with an explosion of cream filling, and an assortments of flavours. In Italy they call a Mocha "Marocchino", it's packed with flavour and great strong coffee flavour. Thank you so much would love to have come here again and again. Ciao grazie!

We ordered a set menu lunch and didn’t get served after finishing the lunch. We had to talk to three different waiters about the rest of our menu, because our waitress just ignored us. In the end the order got mixed up twice - it seems like they don’t know their own menu lunches. We weren’t in a hurry, but after being there for 1.5 hours and not getting our dessert, we just had to make an issue of it, as we had other places to visit. However, I think this is the case just with this one staff member, the others were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was delicious, the chicken sauce refreshing, and the tiramisu decadent. Sitting outside feels cramped, but the indoor seating is really pretty.

Cosy place with lots of sweets, cakes, coffee and wines! We ordered cannolo - typical Italian dessert, amazing! Also we got espresso with some vanilla ice and it was so refreshing…great place, quite expensive but worth it. Service is good, we ordered wrong cake but they changed our order without any issue.

Busy and loud but it is in the middle of the city, so expected. Food and drink was very good. Service was a bit confused, but very polite and patient with our attempt at Italian.

Good place for a sweet tooth. I sat down for a tea, Italian gelato and pastry. A bit pricy place but good location near Uffizi Gallery and other sights in the historical part of Florence. The service was fast and friendly.

A lovely café with very friendly staff. Their breakfast is delicious and good value for the location. I did not try any but the deserts looked amazing.

Great pastries and sandwiches with chill vibes inside, all at reasonable prices. The service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. Highly recommend

The cappuccino was good. We also got tiramisu, it was ok but not satisfying. I felt it was a little bit overpriced for two cappuccinos and tiramisu almost 20 euros.

We stopped here fir breakfast 2 mornings in a row as it was that good. Did have a small option fir hot breakfast but when we saw the patisserie section our minds was made up. Gorgeous. Fresh. Tasty. Yummy. Also had the option of Soya milk with I had with my latte. Highly recommended

Good for late night coffee, complimentary snacks. Fast service was received here. Florence history and memorabilia decorated the walls. This place has hookah/shisha area and even though I didn’t come for this if it offends, you may want to select another place.

To merely imply that this is the cafe of Florence would be doing an absolute injustice to the beautiful city of Florence itself. The staff is extremely rude. They charge 5 euros for bad pastries and terrible service. Do not go here, you will be ripped off and treated extremely poorly. The man at the cash register was old, fat and rude. Honest to god quite a scary guy. You will be scared of him, I was scared of him and I’ve looked death in the eyes. Do not go here! They will rob and scare you, it is a ridiculous café with terrible service and the only thing good about it is the location. 10 euro for the worst most unpleasant experience of my life. As Jay-Z says “it’s on to the next one”. Go to a different café.

Never go here, very dirty, the responsible, a woman who could not speak English was really awful, otherwise the bartender was a short woman who was eating sandwiches at coffee machine and with dirty hands served the coffee! Very bad! And they are very rude, also I highly suggest you to teach the waiter, who was tall, at least clean his teeth and be calm down! Shameful!!!!!
