Well, I was a bit surprised when I saw all the negative comments and ratings. I fully agree on the expensive prices but I also understand that they have one of the best terrace to enjoy a cold beer with the view on the city. And I don't mind paying a premium for such experience! I haven't tried anything else on the menu and only came for a drink to enjoy the view while sitting, so I can't comment on the other aspects.

My husband and I bought gelato and we wanted to sit down outside on their little patio to eat it and although there was nobody sitting there they didn't let us, they told us that we had to spend more money to be able to sit down. The waitress was very rude. The gelato wasn't that good. We ate better gelatos in another places.

Extremely rude. Was with my 80 year old mum. After a long walk, went for ice cream, paid the full price for two, sat outside on chairs to enjoy it. Manager comes along extremely rudely asking us to get up and move as we haven't paid for the sit down service. I Tried explaining to him this but he kept shouting so I offered to pay extra so we can sit and relax our legs for a bit. I said give me two minutes and I will pay you shortly. Guy said pay me right now. That's when I knew this guy isn't worth talking to and we just left.

Don't come here. The view from their tables might be a pull, but everything else is just terrible. We only stopped for drinks, but people next to us had to complain because one of them found a piece of glass in their sandwich. Prices are exorbitant (a espresso is 1€ take away and 2.5€ if you sit in, and some other items are 3-4 times the normal price!).

Absolutely awful. On our trip to Italy, we’ve looked at reviews of every restaurant before going to in, whether that be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Seeing as we only wanted a quick ice cream, why bother to research this beforehand too? When we were talking to the cashier(who looked like the manager) he was very rude and kept talking to his colleagues. We asked for 3 small and 1 medium ice cream tubs(3x€3+€4), which is clearly €13. He then said it was €14. He gave us the receipt and it looked like there was an extra €1 charge for something(maybe some fake “tax”). We argued with him that it should only be €13. Only when his girlfriend who came over to fix it did he give up. Afterwards, he told the initial ice cream server to move aside so he could serve us himself. Wanted some revenge so hardlyany ice cream in the tubs too. Massive tourist trap. As the Italians say, what a di**head.

In such a beautiful and touristic place it shouldn’t be allowed to have such a place selling ice cream. It’s Italy, a country who takes pride of its food and its wonderful ice cream, this place should be shut down by the Florence authorities. Seriously… First you pay, unkind and impolite but whatever…after you have paid you are told what they do not have, then you receive melted ice cream with pieces of ice, as low as you can get! And the quality, well…cheapest super market would be better honestly, or at least it would be FROZEN!!! Shame on you guys

Both myself and my partner ordered two pizzas costing €4.00 each. When they arrived at our table they were delivered cold. My partner ordered a mushroom pizza delivered stone cold with mozzarella cheese cold to the touch. I ordered a cheese and tomato pizza that tasted as if it was store bought and the tomato sauce tasted processed and very unpleasant. To add insult to injury they also charged us €4.50 for two bottle of coke. They almost spoiled a wonderful evening taking in breathtaking views of the city of Florence. I would not recommend anyone to have a pizza here

Horrible experience. Everything was overpriced, even the water bottles. The staff were rude, wouldn't let us sit, although giving no reason for that. There was 50 or so tables, which had mostly a nice view of Florence, but all of them were empty. The ice cream was barely frozen, it could be fine for a two star bar, although I've eaten way better. The "spiritz" was served in plastic cups with plastic straws. Staff badmouthed us in italian, thinking that we wouldn't understand. Avoid the place, it's a tourist trap.

So so bad. Absolute rip off for drinks and ice cream. Be warned if you sit down your price doubles. The people beside us got bread with tomatoes and cheese on it. They found glass in their sandwich. Thankfully we didn't get meals . Avoid avoid avoid

I loved the unicorn flavour because it was unique and you don’t find it in other places. Also, really friendly service and a great view! Recommended!

This place is located a few meters from the best viewpoint in Florence. It is prepared to deceive tourists with abusive prices where they do not even break down the price of what you have ordered, simply the waiter arrives at the table with your ticket and you pay what they want to tell you to pay. Please don't go to this place.

I strongly suggest you to keep going up to the piazza and get a to go coffee from up there. The only reason this cafe has customers is for the view. Absolutely nothing special about this place, mediocre products and the toilet is also disgusting. Extremely rude manager. Made us get up from the table after only just finishing our drinks. He was also bugging everyone teaching them how to order in Italian, as if people were there to be schooled not to enjoy a coffee.

They tried to charge us €50 on a €40 bill, claiming the 25% extra was “service”. Not mentioned anywhere on the menu and highly unusual for Europe. Turns out the “service” is negotiable after all so we ended up giving €3 (which we would have given anyway but without the drama and the discussion). Unpleasant experience ruining the nice view the bar has. Also insisted on taking cash even though they supposedly take cards. To avoid.

I stopped in to this little spot after a good walk up to the overlook of Firenze! I didn’t do a meal here, but I did get an Aperol Spritz with appertivs to enjoy the view. The view is incredible. The meals I saw being served were very Americanized and small. I wouldn’t recommend for anything more than gelato or a spritz, but it’s a gorgeous spot!

Not sure why others say they are ripping people off, I got charged what I ordered for, correctly, as an Asian face tourist. Even gave us complimentary olives and chips, and without cover charge. Just need to pay in cash. Arguably the best view with a seat looking over the other side of river, in that area.

I was hesitant about this place at first but after ordering sandwiches and drinks, we saw they had a menu of more filling selections, so we ordered some pastas. I really liked the chocolate drink. Amir was the one who took our orders, at first he seem to be just business like but after awhile he started telling us some words in Italian and was quiet happy that we enjoyed the food. After our meal and paying up, I had to ask for his name as I thought we really had a nice experience at his place. I've read the other reviews but our experience was very nice and pleasant and if we ever come back to Firenze, we'll surely come back to this place and have another good meal and hope that Amir is still there. 😊

We were served by Amir. He is very friendly and even teaches us some Italian words. Food is very good! We had toasts, lasagne, hot chocolate which tasted heavenly and gelato. Price is affordable as well. Love the service, the food and of course the location!

Bald manager was extremely rude when we were ordering and pointing out the amount shown on the register was not correct for what we ordered, responding loudly with “HEY I’M NOT A BURGLAR”. Staff also seemed intimidated by him. It’s surprising how a 1 second interaction triggered him so much. Would not recommend ordering here.

Ice cream was good as well as the selection. But you definitely pay for the view since the scopes are way too small for the price (3 flavors doe 5,50€).

Not sure about these poor reviews. Great view and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Asked ahead the cost for some drinks and paid exact amount they quoted. Be respectful, be treated with respect

thieves, manager shouted when confronted on false prices, careful they sneak things on the bill and will try to get you to sit down so you pay more. IF YOU SIT, YOU WILL PAY DOUBLE
