PHENOMENAL! Best place to try a great panini sandwich! Go in and ask for Benjamin! Half Italian half American owner! Get him to give you a taste of the meats( salamis and proccuto ham) and the cheeses before he makes the perfect sandwich! If you don’t know what to get, ask for his special, it is to die for! If you went to the cathedral and you didn’t stop here, might as well not have come to Firenze!!

A weird and hidden spot in the core of Florence but amazing. We went when it wasn’t busy and we were offered to try every meat and cheese before deciding exactly what we wanted on our sandwich. We then were allowed to choose our bread, then the rest of our toppings. This a was nice and affordable stop in the middle of a very busy few days and it allowed us to skip the lines of other well know sandwich places happily. As well it is a very nice spot to sit and stare at the cathedral. This was the most affordable meal we had in Florence and it was filling and tasted amazing. Nothing fancy which can be very welcome on occasion.

This place will take you to another level! They let you choose the bread and most importantly, they give you samples of the meats and cheeses ahead of time so that you can see what flavors you want in your sandwich. It was very personable, which I really liked! In addition, you get to choose 4 a veggie/sauce options. I loved my sandwich! The staff was friendly and offered great service! Also, under 10€ for a sandwich! They also have a sit down area in front of the sandwich shop outside!

Staff are very friendly and they make u taste each meat and makes you choose what you would want for your Panini. I was not good enough with the combinations as mine turned out almost just meat and cheese, kinda too salty for my liking. My husband's was very good though and well balanced. Next time, I'd ask for recommendations 😅

I was a bit nervous walking in but I was helped so thoroughly with no judgement! He broke it down for me - what kind of bread, soft or hard? I got to try the proscuitto and salami and choose. It was excellent. Lots of veggies to add in.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a MUST visit in Florence. Excellent customer service, 2/3 employees speak great English, and the food is incredible. They have a quick and easy process too. They offer you samples of the meats and cheeses, then you pick one of each, then you pick 3 vegetable options, they toast it, and you're on your way. It was delicious and I ended up going twice!

This sandwich shop was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. There was a small line, but it moved quickly and everyone who worked there was patient and friendly. There is limited seating and you cannot hold seats while someone goes in and orders- you will get shooed away. By the time our family of four was through ordering, paying and ready to eat they indicated seating had opened up and encouraged us to sit. The sandwiches are huge and absolutely delicious!

An absolutely lovely place with open, chatty staff that really makes you feel welcomed! They let you try your cheese and meat options before creating you own panini so it’s really great! The prices are reasonable and the location is great right next to the church! Highly recommend!!!

This place has hands down one of the BEST sandwiches you will get not just in Florence but in all of ITALY! They let you try the meat and cheese before you build your customized sandwich with the freshest ingredients I’ve ever had. The owner was extremely personable and friendly towards us and made sure our experience went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back to visit!

Amazing Panini! It is located right next to the duomo and The panini‘s only cost 7€. The shop owner will let you try different cuts of meat and cheese and then you can choose which one you like in your panini. Then you can choose what vegetables go in your Panini. The size of the Panini is quite large so I will definitely fill you up. The panini tastes delicious, and warm. You can eat it on the go, there are seats outdoors as well. Absolutely recommend!!!

This place is an institution, an amazing experience. You get to taste the meat and cheese before you buy. This is the best panini I ever ate. The flavour of the meat is just unbelievable. Must go to place if in town.

I have been studying abroad in Florence for over two months now and I do not know why I waited so long to try this spot! The workers were very friendly and helpful. You get to sample the meats and cheeses they offer before building your sandwich and they were all so delicious it was hard to make a decision by the end of it. Such a great spot and will definitely be returning to build some more panino combinations. Check it out!

Hands down the BEST sandwich we have ever had. We tried the other viral sandwich shops in Florence, but this one was our favourite ! We had to come back for one more on our very last day here in Florence. From memory the owner made us a sandwich with the normal panini, mild cheese, rocket, chilli peppers, and I think the meat was normal salami. DELICIOUS AND A MUST TRY !

My favourite Panini place in Italy. Vegetarian friendly. Located adjacent to the Duomo. Eating here is an experience. They allow you to try the various ingredients before you choose what you want in your panino. They also allow vegetarians to pick an extra cheese instead of meat. Run by a hospitable family. I have frequented this place on all my visits to Florence since 2017.

Although the selection is not wide, you can build the sandwich with your favourite delicious ingredients. Not a great place for indecisive people! Also, it can get crowded really quickly inside.

The paninis are just so good ! The bread ! Yum! It's really foreigner friendly and they speak English. It's a small place but they take the time to make you taste the meat and cheese you want to put in your panini. You get to choose after that. 10/10 I recommend

Super tasty sandwiches just behind the cathedral! The staff is really well organized and the chef is absolutely great with all the tourists. Entering there will grant you with a cheese and meat tasting… then this is up to you to select the bread you want, as well as the cheese & meat you just tried + 3 different vegetables. They will then toast it and in quick minutes you’ll be eating a great typical Italian panini at an affordable price. Recommended!!

“Taste it then make it” is the motto at Panini Toscani! Small shop focusing on quality sandwiches. Taste a variety of local cheeses, and three local cold cut meats. Then select your preferences and build your sandwich, adding fresh veggie options such as eggplant, tomato, sun dried tomatoes, and arugula. They even help get your seat in the plaza after you order. A gem in the historical center with outstanding service by Benjamin and his team.

You can’t go wrong with a panini and beer from here. They have 2 breads, 3 meats, 4 cheeses, and tons of veggies to choose from. They let you taste the meat and cheese before you order which is a nice touch. Prices are good, portions large, and food delicious.

Great place for a quick bite. Made to order wonderful sandwiches, but only after you try the cheeses and meats on offer. Then you choose the toppings. Delicious and very reasonably priced. You can sit outside at the nice little tables just a few feet from the Florence Duomo or takeaway.

Definitely recommend! They allow you to try many different cheeses and meats to create your own favourite Panini. Young fella super friendly and kind. Ended up going again the very next day. Thank you!

Not a fan of paninis here in Italy but these blew me away. It wasn’t as hyped as the other spots and was the definition of the ingredients speak for themselves. I know sauces aren’t a thing here much so I won’t judge it off my bias because I can’t imagine how incredible they’d be with some sauce. For what they are it’s amazing.

I will never stop suggesting this stop! One of the best spots in Florence! We got to try the cheese and meat before making our final decision. Beni was great! Super informative and knowledgeable about the cheese and meat on offer! Felt very looked after and had a great chat too, including some great recommendations of what we can do with our time in Florence! 10/10 recommendation

Delicious sandwiches and and overall great experience. If it's your first time, you'll get and explanation and tasting of the different cheeses and meats. Everything is fresh and tasty. Perfect for a quick lunch!

Amazing spot for a quick lunch. The paninis are amazing and they let you try the meats and cheeses before making your selection! Highly recommended!

Great concept: all sandwiches cost 7€. You choose 1. Type of bread; 2. Type of cured meat; 3. Type of cheese; 4. Sauce or veggies. You are asked to go to the end of the bar to try the cheese and cured meat before making your choice. Also sells wine by the glass and drinks. The sandwiches are huge and super tasty! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic panini with a great view. There were many options to choose from and staff was super helpful with making recommendations. Very reasonable price for the quality and size you get.

Small nondescript panini shop amidst a sea of pasta restaurants and bistros in the Piazza del Duomo. As the name implies, they make paninis. We tried three salamis and cheese to go along with them before deciding. Fun fact - you can only choose one type of meat and cheese. You cannot ask for two or all three of the salamis in your panini. Regardless of what choice you make, it will be good.. You also get to choose the type of bread (multigrain, focaccia, ciabatta) and veggies (think arugula, sun dried tomatoes, eggplant, grilled peppers, etc.) to add to your panini. My panini was crunchy, had a good amount of spiciness, and the meat and cheese were a good combo. I forgot to mention that they toast the panini too! They have beer, wine and spritz (of course)! The meal was wonderful and gave the much needed energy to climb the 414 steps of the Campanile di Giotto. 😖☠️
