This is my fourth trip to Italy, and Il Vezzo was one of the best dining experiences of my life! The food was phenomenal. Every dish was so unique. There were delicious combinations of flavors I've never experienced before. Cute atmosphere, fantastic service, and wonderful food. Oh, and the organic wine was really good too! Different, but delicious. PS. The servings in the photos are half-portion as they kindly split each dish for my wife and I to share.

This place is a Michelin Star waiting to happen. Each dish was so well thought out, beautiful, and even more delicious. The hospitality was amazing. The 2 biggest stars were the scallop appetizer and the Florentine Steak. To me their steak blew away the one from another restaurant that is listed on the Top 101 Steakhouses. I loved the warm sage oil they use. Really an amazing meal.

The best dinner we had during our time in Florence. Absolutely amazing. Every detail, the service, the food, the wine- all exquisite. It is a small place so you definitely need a reservation. So many people tried to walk in but they are so good they were fully booked. The service was also amazing. You can tell they have a passion for their food and your experience. Must go!

I had the best restaurant experience in Florence at Il Vezzo. There was a lot of attention to detail: the ambiance of wooden shelves, wine bottles and even a bicycle created a rustic, cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive and humble. The food was artistically presented! The shrimp pasta was small but delicious. The rice pudding dessert was creative and just the right degree of sweetness. I would come here again the next time I return to Florence. I hope it earns a Michelin star!

I had the pleasure of enjoying one of the most memorable meals during my stay in Florence. The restaurant not only offered exceptional cuisine but also had servers who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a testament to the restaurant's popularity that there was a line forming outside even before it opened at 7 pm. Fortunately, luck was on our side, and we managed to secure a table without a prior reservation

An absolute must for a restaurant if you are visiting Florence. Travelling a lot with friends around the world, this place was definitely one of the most pleasant and beautifully tasting surprises. Very modest looking with a fine choice of wine. Excellent starters and amazing pallet of flavours in every bite. Personally one of the best meat I've ever had. This restaurant definitely deserves a five star.

Absolutely deserving of the reviews on here. Agree with a previous comment that this place needs a Michelin star; high end dining inclusive of service, presentation and taste all at a trattoria price! The wine list is fantastic and also deserving of a mention. Can’t go wrong. Book in advance, thank me later :)

Best dinner in my 3 weeks trip in Italy. Every single dish we ordered was superb, full of surprise and beautiful plated. Most importantly the excellent service received from the Manager with great knowledges and recommendation of food. What a pleasant dinning experience! Will certainly come back for my next visit.

If you're looking for fine dining in Florence, be sure to reserve a table at Il Vezzo. They have a wide variety of your typical italian dishes but with unique twists. Easily some of the best food I've had and the ravioli was to die for.

The food here was tremendous, we had high expectations because of the high ratings it had achieved but it’s safe to say they were certainly met. The menu specifically says that their florentine steak is served exclusively rare, as tradition requires it. We asked for medium rare and they refused, at which point we could have left but made the decision to trust in the experience - and we weren’t disappointed. The food was absolutely sensational and we wouldn’t change a thing. One thing to call out is that there is a “minimum” order in terms of weight as it relates to their steak which is charged at a fixed amount per 100g. Their menu says that the minimum is 1kg, but on the night we went the minimum was 1.5kg. I think it comes down to the cuts of meat they have available on the day. We initially thought that 1.5kg would be a bit much between the two of us, but to be fair the bone that was left over would have been a few hundred grams and the serving size was easily manageable by two people. Would definitely come back here for the experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Great atmosphere (especially the music), service was amazing and the food was stunning: complex but heartwarming at the same time. Waitress was great and really made us feel welcome! Unfortunately didn’t get her name

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. My visit was 6 days ago and I still think about the food we had that night daily. 😄 but I do not want to mention only the extraordinary quality of the food, but also the super kind stuff. They served us so warm and welcoming and you could really tell that they love food, since they could answer all our curious questions about the meal preparation with enthusiasm! Can’t believe that this restaurant does not has a Michelin Star yet. We will come back!

I have been meaning to leave this 5 star review since September. Dinner at Il Vezzo still stands out as one of the best meals we had in Italy. The food was so unique and delicious. The service was impeccable, even though it was very busy. Rocco was hands down our favourite server that we had while in Italy. He made us feel special while we were celebrating our honeymoon ❤️

Fantastic decor! I've recently fallen in love with this shade of green so it just hit me right in the heart. The food was delicious. The highlight for me was the 'waffle' in the starter. It was just so perfectly baked and one cannot have enough of it. The service was friendly, the place gives out a relaxing vibe. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely incredible! My husband said it was the best meal he’s had in Europe and we’ve lived here for a year and half. We both started with pasta dishes, which were fresh and homemade. We then shared the Florentine steak and it was cooked perfectly! We finished with dessert and I definitely recommend the house made tiramisu. We also shared a bottle of the house white wine, which was so reasonable and delicious. We received excellent service in a small, intimate setting. Be sure to make a reservation!

Best Pasta in Florence for us (we stayed a week). We had the Pappardelle and the Seafood pasta. Both were excellent. Staff very attentive. Excellent experience.

Great little restaurant. You'll need a reservation during peak season and we are glad we made one. The filet was my favourite steak I've ever had. The potatoes were sizzling in olive oil and came with the perfect crunch. The brown butter sage ravioli was so soft and delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another reservation.

This is the place where your dinner will be unforgettable. Very atmospheric and pleasant. Starting from the presentation of dishes, prepared plates and the right wine. We had one of our favorite meals ever here! Excellent service with amazing food and wine. Vegetarian options were fantastic, especially the pumpkin starter. I had ravioli that was amazing, and we loved the experience and atmosphere overall. Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner. Cozy atmosphere and warm and well informed staff. The food and winter were delicious. The prices were reasonable and fair in my opinion. The offered a complimentary appetizer.

We wanted to try florentine steak and the promise of dry aged beef and top notch quality dishes made Il Vezzo a great choice. And my did they deliver, wonderfully friendly service and lovely flavorful dishes made for a great evening! Several guests were unable to secure a table whilst we were there so book in advance.

The squid appetizer is nice! Fragrant Welcome dish and bread are nice too. Main course i ordered which is the colourful spaghetti was not i expected it to be. There is no noodle, the carrot itself is the noodle. Saw a lot people ordered florentine steak, huge portion.

Best place that my wife and I went to in our Italy trip. Not only was the food very tasty, but the whole dining experience was great. Highly recommended! Rocco also understood my wine preference and guided me there as well. Reservations at this place are highly recommended. There was a lineup before the dinner service even opened up. We had a table for 7pm.

These reviews are no joke. Some of the best food in Italy. It was like a Michelin star place without being that expensive. Chicken liver pate and ravioli were out of this world. Couldn’t recommend more.

Small and cute place that could use better air conditioning when it’s hot. Dishes were thoughtfully prepared and visually appealing. Flavors were very good, but not to the point I would necessarily seek it out again given so much great food in Florence. A little pricey.

Food is absolutely of the best quality and most flavorful from start of the evening to the finish. Flavor combinations are extraordinary and interesting, food is beautifully prepared and delicious. Very flavorful. Baccala was incredibly prepared, and melted in the mouth. Pappardalle, a much different dish, was a total contrast but also fantastic. Wait staff was helpful and gracious without being obtrusive. This restaurant is on our "best of Florence" list.

Excellent dinner! They make really great Italian food with a twist, I highly recommend to book a table in advance. The polpo was amazing and dessert out of this world. Very friendly staff and great service.

The best meal we had in Italy, hands down. Delicious house wines, fantastic mains, including the tenderest venison I've ever tasted. Tiramisu was superb but the real star was the frangipane dessert. Flawless, friendly service too. Make sure you reserve in advance!

Amazing restaurant! Everything was to perfection, from the service to the atmosphere, to the food. God, the food! Whether you’re a meat lover (absolutely get the Florentine steak!!!) or a vegetarian, there is a delicious meal waiting for you at Il Vezzo. We went there twice during our 4-day stay in Firenze. Worth every penny and more!
