My partner and I made a reservation to eat here and we absolutely loved it. The pasta was fresh and the staff was attentive and very warm. They offered us fried bread as a free appetizer which were tasty. Although expensive, the main courses were worthwhile and you could tell you are paying for quality. It’s nice to be in an environment surrounded by locals and not filled with tourists. We had a great tiramisu for dessert which was nicely made. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food in Florence!

With any food review, context matters so briefly, I live in NYC and love food. I have had Michelin starred restaurants in multiple places such as Tokyo, Paris, etc. But I also love street food from Taipei to Marrakesh. I don't care as much about service or environment relative to the food. Moving on, this was on a few lists and highly rated on Google. It started off with a friendly greeting and being shown to the table we reserved. There was some nice warm fried bread which was tasty. Unfortunately after that, the food was ok but with limited meals, I would have skipped this one. Overall, if you've had great steak at fancy steakhouses in the US, I feel there is no need to eat Florentine steak. As I mentioned, everything was fine but I feel there are better options in the area.

The best food we have had in Italy (Capri, Positano, Rome, Florence tour)! Upon entering, we were greeted nicely by an older gentleman who showed us to our table. The restaurant was full and everyone’s food looked delightful. Their table side bread was unlike any other restaurant in Italy, perfectly crisp, fried puffs of deliciousness. If these were served after dinner, they could have been the dessert with a little honey or powdered sugar. Next the server helped us select our wine based on what we told him we liked and he was spot on. Our first dish was the Pici Al Sugo Di Salsiccia E Cavolo Nero, which was the very best pasta dish we have had. The noodles were a great texture and consistency, the sausage was fantastic, but the sauce was unbelievable. Next came our steak, cooked medium rare, pre cut and it was like eating little slices of heaven. The texture was consistent and tender all the way through. Not one bad bite in the whole steak. Next, they give you a cold gelato type dessert which cleansed the palette, service with dessert bread that went well with our espresso. Finally, the tiramisu arrived and it was the icing on the cake! We finished our bottle of wine and the server brought us lemoncello! Every bite of food we had here was unbelievable to our taste buds and left us craving more so much so that we booked another reservation and will eat here again! 12/10 this place is great. We asked several locals about their favorite place to eat and they all mentioned this place in their top selection.

A fantastic meal! The Bistecca alla Fiorentina here was great. A note to the cooks - consider dry brining for better seasoning throughout the steak. Under-seasoning seems to be a feature of steak in Italy from our experience. The steak was tender and pretty well cooked. The rest of the meal we had was fantastic! The staff were upbeat, and super friendly. There were plenty of complimentary items too (fried bread, biscotti etc). The tiramasu is excellent too. Overall, a five star meal!

We arrived extremely late to the hotel in the centre of Florence and struggled to find somewhere with the kitchen open. We found this gem on google maps and rushed to see if the kitchen was open. The waiter told us if we order quickly then we could eat and we were extremely happy. He recommended the Florentine T Bone and suggested a great bottle of red wine. The meat was juicy and delicious. It melted in our mouths and went well with the potato side. I would highly recommend and would go again. The service was great and they went over and beyond. They gave us an on the house starter and some sweet wine and snacks at the end. All in all fantastic!

I just celebrated my 75 th birthday with my daughter and a room full of happy people who were delighted to celebrate with me! The food is fabulous, as is the service. The staff goes above and beyond to make its patrons happy and very well fed. My main course of truffles, Parmesan, and spaghetti was unforgettable. After our meal, the staff brought out a slice of birthday cake and some limoncello which I happily devoured. What a wonderful friendly vibe🤗👍

Excellent! Wine, meat, appetisers, service! Everything was perfect under any point of view. Prices are average for Florence l, but the quality... Mamma mia! That was amazing. Really from olive oil until coffee, there is nothing average. We took incredible good wines, and the service was quick. I close this review with the same adjective cause they deserve it: Everything was excellent.

The food was delicious, and the fried bread before the meal was really good, just like the Chinese "youtiao" taste, but the restaurant didn't serve second helpings. The dishes have distinct flavors, and the desserts are not very sweet, which is acceptable to Asian people.

My husband and I went to this restaurant 5 years ago when we first visited Florence and we loved it, so we knew we wanted to go back. Well, we went last night and it was even better than the first time. We had reservations for 8:00 and we were sat in the front room which is very lively. We felt like we were among friends. The staff is very attentive, our server was so nice and helpful, and the food was amazing! So fresh and flavorful. They bring out fried bread that is lightly salted and it’s such a nice way to start off your dining experience. We started with the artichoke appetizer with shaved Pecorino Romano and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. We both ordered pasta dishes that were unbelievable and were served hot, like they brought it out the minute the pasta hit the plate. The house wine was one of the best glasses of red I have ever had. They even brought over lemon sorbet and biscotti (which were also the best I have ever had) after our meal, which is a nice touch. Caterina is very sweet and worked the room the entire night, making sure everything ran smoothly. This restaurant has such a homey feeling. I can’t say enough good things. My husband and I saved it for our last night, but both said we wished we went more than one night during our visit because we just love it that much. It was definitely the most authentic dining experience we had during our trip to Florence. We can’t wait to go back!

I've been at this restaurant several times, always looking forward to go back. It is probably one of the few places that is still making traditional Tuscan cuisine as it was, while proposing some innovative arrangements. The atmosphere is elegant but not overly polished. The dishes are prepared like a careful Italian grandma would prepare them. It's definitely about quality over appearance.

What an experience! From the amazing welcome when we arrived, to the service and the food. Can not recommend this gem enough. Our waiter was spot on with his recommendations and his service. Food was one of the best we have had in our last 4 weeks in Europe. Grazie

Fantastic service and great experience in Florence. Really enjoyed eating here - the food was delicious and the waiters were extremely helpful and friendly. Special shout outs to the guy who refilled our water so attentively and for the extra limoncello 🤩. Well worth it!!

Delicious. From the little salted donut bites (omg Soo good) bread and super fresh olive oil, duck breast, and truffle pasta (one of the daily specials). Great wine list, had a baby ornellaia with dinner, proper wine glasses. All the food was fantastic, superb service, and lots of little extras like a lemon sorbet palate cleanser, and bottomless water. Highly recommended.

Incredible experience. Came here with a large group for dinner one night and was blown away. Everything from the starters to desert was absolutely incredible. The Bistecca al Florentina was amazing. One thing that stood out to me was our server, who was extremely energetic and thoughtful, a true highlight of our experience. Will definitely come again.

High class dining with high quality food. We went to try the Florentine Steak which was more than enough for two people and cooked medium rare at most. The steak was crispy and tasty on the outside and soft and tender on the inside; fabulous! The roasted potatoes which were served with the steak were phenomenal and oddly enough might have been my favorite part. We had some white Pinot Grigio as well which went nicely with the meal. Furthermore, we tried the spinach stuffed artichoke special appetizer which was offered for the night and was quite good! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend if youre in Florence and want an amazing steak!

What a lovely experience here on our last night in Florence. The food was great, but more so, the service was excellent! The staff made us feel so welcome and were so attentive. These guys work hard, you can tell. They're constantly moving around non-stop serving each table with care. Our absolute favorite dish of the night was the pici with kale and sausage, A MUST ORDER!!! I could eat so much of that...you know what else was dangerous? The complimentary fry bread bites they bring to your table after you've ordered. Omg, they're good. Don't eat too much of those, otherwise you'll never have room for the food you ordered. I'm not joking, for the first time in my life, I literally had to unbutton my jeans after we left to release the stomach pressure, I was so full. Not ladylike at all but oh well...my compliments to the kitchen!

It was okay, not great not bad but good 😊 Food was decent. We ordered beef stew and seafood pasta. Service was really good, nice people but always in rush. We didn’t get small plates at the beginning for olive oil and bread. The whole atmosphere is not bad but something is missing, you don’t feel coziness or Italian vibes. In general you will eat good Italian food in here. Red House wine also very good taste.

Wonderful environment. Personal, high quality service. They are professional waiters and show it with their love of what they do. Mr. Giovanni is an engaging conversationalist and just a lovely gentleman. He and his staff spoke sufficient English to help us make excellent selections; both food and wine. The Florentine style steak was out-of-this world. You order this by the kg. Delicious and plentiful appetizers. This restaurant is a MUST if you visit Florence. The price was very reasonable for a party of 5, with wine, several appetizers, and 1.8KG of steak.

I was expecting a local taste but it was actually a very touristic flavour, even the steak doesn't taste like the Florentine bistecca.

All the food were perfect and really delicious! Even I have a serious cold, but I can tell the dishes were tasty and delicious! Seafood pasta made me felt better. All the staff in restaurant were friendly! I would recommend others to visit!

Wonderful local restaurant in Florence. Really high quality food with a varied menu, and excellent service. There were several fresh fish dinners available, the picture is of the baked cod with tomato sauce. A great get away from the major tourist restaurants.

One of the nicest and authenic Tuscan restaurants in Florence we have been. The service is amazing and the food is really good plus a good selection of wine. There are a lot of tables but it’s good to have a reservation in advance. The owner Giovanni is greeting everyone in the restaurant and make sure everybody is happy. Definitely worth a visit when jn Florence.

We were visiting from San Francisco for our honeymoon. This was the first meal of our first night in Italy for a 3 week trip and it did not disappoint. We ordered two pasta dishes and the flavors and texture were both excellent. We finished with a dessert wine and they were nice enough to provide us with biscoti on the house. We would certainly come back again :)

Food was gorgeous, pan fritti and cantuccini on the house. Antipasto was wonderful and the Fiorentina was better than others in the city listed on 101 best steaks in the world! Service was exquisite!!
