This place is unreal. I don’t know the name of the viral place everyone keeps talking about, but don’t bother with it - come here instead. First of all, come here with some time on your hands - not because the wait is really long, but because the sandwich makers take their time to explain the different ingredients and provide suggestions based on what you’re looking for. For example, I wanted to mix several meats and was told “that is not the authentic Italian way”, and the guy was 100% right - I stuck with 1 meat choice and it was so good. There isn’t a ton of room to sit, but these are probably best enjoyed in park with a good beer. We managed to snag the seats at the back and enjoyed the best sandwiches we’ve ever had.

This place was amazing. The gentleman making the sandwiches was super nice and very helpful. The ingredients used to make the sandwiches were super fresh. The sandwiches were delicious with flavors that melded together perfectly. The wine here was great too. Also, the prices were very, very reasonable. I highly recommend this place. This might have been the best sandwich shop I ate at while in Firenze.

Locally sourced ingredients make up delicious, delicious sandwiches. The service is very caring and they answer all of your questions with much details and love. Keep in mind that even if the line isn’t long, like just outside the door, you will wait about 45 minutes just to get your food.

There’s a lot of hype over these sorts of sandwiches in Florence but i think this was a bit of a hidden gem. Just happened to stumble across is at the right time, it wasn’t too busy however the queue got quite large after us and they take care in advising you in what to get and making the sandwiches. They will slice the meat and heat up the cheese on the bread and put it all together in front of you, but this takes time so if there is a queue you have to be prepared to wait. But i think it’s more than worth it. Absolutely delicious :)

If I could put a million stars I would. I could seriously write a book about how much I love this place and the owners, Andrea and Marco. This place is a hidden gem about a 5 minute walk from the duomo. All of the ingredients are locally sourced so it is the most authentic sandwich you will taste in Florence! The spreads are MAGNIFICENT, my favorites being zucchini, cinnamon pear, red pepper, truffle, and artichoke. But they are all fantastic. The bread is toasted fresh in front of you and has a nice crunch but melts like a cloud in your mouth along with the yummy cheeses and variety of local meats. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER PLACE IN THIS CITY. I lived here from fall-winter 2022 and recently went back this weekend and I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been here probably close to 100 times. Never had a singular bad experience. Andrea and Marco run a fantastic establishment. Ask them for recommendations, they are the friendliest guys on the planet and love to help! And buy a spread to take home with you because I promise you will miss it so much. It’s like they put some kind of drug in these things …. Obsessed!! 😍

I gave 5 stars to the food because both sandwiches we tried were amazing and for 6.5 euro they were also great value. What brings my final rating down is the service which is not bad per se, but it’s so slow. The shop is small but there were only about 10 customers and it took half an hour to get my sandwiches, with just one person SLOWLY preparing them. If I didn’t have to wait that long I would have already come again for more to try different combinations.

Sandwich tastes great, the shop is decorated thoughtfully, the staff is super sweet, but wait times will drive you crazy if you care about efficiency. (Half an hour for 5 people in line to pay/10 people waiting to get food.) Food is prepared carefully like an art piece, so budget in extra time if you want to try some. On another note, I didn’t get anything with meat but I did see the staff freshly cut every slice of meat going into other people’s sandwiches! So that’s one of the things that make the food special.

Fantastic artisanal sandwich shop. Incredible ingredients from local to regional, there is a huge selection of meats and cheeses. Service is excellent - friendly and took the time to explain all the different items on the menu. The flavour - incredible.

My absolute favorite place for a quick lunch in Florence! Specifically, a schiacciata sandwich which is the only kind of sandwich you should try when in Florence. The offer at Sandwichic is amazing, with so many delicious vegetarian recipes that we ate here twice during our visit. The ingredients are local, the staff is really kind and helpful and the sandwiches are ridiculously good!

Would give 6 stars if we could! Stumbled upon this place, a massive menu with so many option’s available. The focaccia bread was so soft and fresh and the fillings were amazing. Great customer service as well, really chatty and helpful with choices and explaining ingredients.

What you have to eat here in Florence, people will definitely recommend you “Focaccia” typical sandwich 🥪 in italy. But when you come here try not to go to the famous one instead coming here to taste one of the best on my Top list. I take the Daily Sandwich 🥪 6€ (sometime you could even add the ingredients you want +0.5€ for each choice) Don’t worry if you are vegan, they also provide vegan menu ( more than 5 options) for you to choose.

A world-class sandwich. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Feels strange to say but this might have been my favorite place we ate during our entire trip in Florence / Tuscany / Rome. I will absolutely be back every time I get the chance to go back to Florence.

This is the best sandwich place in Florence for a cheap lunch. Come and queue early as they take orders individually and may take some time to explain their sandwiches. Choose a bread, meat, spread, cheese, and tomato (sun-dried or fresh). Take note they do not permit combining meats into one sandwich (salami, prosciutto, pancetta) but that does not detract from the best sandwich experience you will have.

Panino wasn't good it was too soft and wasn't crunchy at all. All hams were too salty. You can eat much more better around this place, price is over average. To sum up, place is overrated, not worth to visit. There hadn't been any local people while we were ordering our sandwiches, which is saying all about this place. Thanks!

Might be the best service you can find on a sandwich shop in florence. The guys were really nice, they really take the time for each customer and explaining the menu and what the customer needs. Tasty sandwich, forget the others which are heavily overrated!

This was my favorite panini shop in all of Florence. I would come after class right when they opened and grab a panino, which often became the highlight of my day. The menu is updated regularly for what ingredients are in season, meaning that everything is fresh. Not to mention, it is all made to order and right in front of you. I enjoyed the leek and zucchini cream on my panini. The guys who work there are so nice and will answer any questions you have about the menu. The wait times can be long, but I promise it’s 100% worth it. Come here for a panino and walk to the Medici chapel steps to enjoy it and people watch. One of my favorite things I did in Florence.

Late with this review, as I visited back in 2019. But man, this place still sticks with me. All locally sourced and fresh ingredients. Still the best sandwich I've ever had and if any friends are going to Florence, I always give them this rec first. Try it out for yourself, you won't regret it.

Very friendly service and really super delicious sandwiches in Florence style. Way better than the touristy ones and fesh and perfect with very tasty and good ingredients. Definitely recommend for the perfect snack or lunch.

Decent sandwiches, cheaper than All’Antico Vinaio, but wouldn’t say they’re better. Definitely not as filling, so if your not that hungry it may be good choice for you We tried three sandwiches, vegetarian one tasted bland, it lacked something special Meat ones were ok, definitely one with salami and red pepper jam is worth recommending, I could say SandwiChic salami was better tasting than all’antico Other one was with spianata and pecorino, it was ok. After eating two sandwiches here I was less satiated than in all’antico Overall I’d rather recommend all’antico, they offer more interesting sandwiches, although you can find some decent options here at SandwiChic Staff is very welcoming and willing to offer advice

Absolutely delicious! The best sandwiches we’ve ever tried. They were delicious and fresh, so much so we came back a second time.

The BEST sandwich shop in Florence!! You can skip going to All’antico Vinaio and RUN straight to this place! It tastes way better than it looks and offers a wide variety of combinations with local ingredients! The homemade jams set this place apart from from the rest!!

Excellent for a quick lunch! They prepare everything fresh in front of you. They have a wide selection of great looking meats and vegetarian options as well. I got the procutto crudo with mozzarella and crema de zucchini which was very tasty. The server spoke English and was very nice. Plus the place is very inexpensive (my sandwich was 5 euros). I’d definitely recommend.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
