Amazing place with authentic feel and great food! Not as touristy as other restaurants. It’s recommended to reserve a table here first, especially if you plan a late dinner. We were lucky enough to find a table last minute without a reservation as we were there quite early. Best mixed Appetizers Platter we’ve had to this day! Something 5 very picky people were able to agree on. I can also recommend the beef tenderloin with lard. Only things that took us by surprise, causing a lower rating: - the soup wasn’t really a soup in the traditional sense, due to the bread. It’s very thick - the rabbit stew is quite bony, so might take some time to eat. Also a bit too salty for my liking

Fabulous dinner experience! There were 13 of us decided to try out this place after recommendation from a local friend, it’s not easy to please a big group but the guy server was so patient and helpful, he recommended all the fantastic dishes and the right amount to be shared. Wines were good and the antipasti was top grade. It was our last night in Florence and we had a great night here!! All the staff were so attentive and prompt! Thanks a million! 👍🏼

We were so glad we made a reservation here though it’s away from the main tourist area. The steak was fantastic (get it rare!) and the pappardelle was amazing. However, the roast potatoes was life changing it was quite literally the best roast potatoes we’ve ever had. Crunchy on the outside, somehow super buttery smooth on the inside - we were hooked! Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner but remember to make a reservation!

We went without a reservation but was lucky to be seated right away. Florentine steak turned out to be not much different from the usual t-bone in the US, but the pasta dishes were both superb. Staff was friendly in a traditional Italian way.

Reservation definitely required as it is a very popular place. Food was fantastic. Everything was tasty and delivered quickly. Had a good atmosphere with great music, jolly staff and a wide mix of customers both local and tourists. We immediately made a reservation for the next night to try out more of their food. All excellent.

Came for dinner with reservation. The place is historical and has its walls all written but visitors. The service is traditional yet young. They are fast, well experienced, and kind. The food was quick to arrive and it was very tasty. We ordered the bruschetta, the lasagna, and the pappardelle and all of it was very tasty. The only sides I would like to leave is that just 5 min before opening time, they were still sitting inside talking, then came out to have a smoke, then finished up preparing the tables and their attires. It’s fair and understandable because they were around 10 min late of opening time. Of course their speed makes of up for it but it was just sad because it was raining outside and people were hungry and impatient at the time. Another small note is that we booked for 3 then asked for 4 but sadly two people got stuck in traffic and didn’t make it after all. Of course the manager was disappointed but nothing we could do change that and their reception to the news was a bit harsh to see especially when we tried to make things right. In summary, the restaurant is well worth the visit, the food is amazing, decoration is interesting, and the prices are more than fair.

So my wife was like Rick Steve's suggest this restaurant and so far he hasn't steered us wrong so I'm like okay, it was about a 15 min drive from our hotel but well worth it. The service was amazing and the food was so delicious, I won't lie I'm not a person to eat my steak rare but they have a policy to respect the tradition and well who am I to step on tradition so I had the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle sauce and OMG I cleaned my plate and if you know me that's a rarity for me. After we were done they offered us lemoncello on the house and called us a cab. For 2 people we spent 60 euro which has been one of the cheapest dinners so far but definitely filled with flavor. If your in Florence definitely try them out. And get ready to sign the walls cause OMG.

My favorite dining experience in Italy! Had a fantastic Veal steak perfectly cooked as well as the best tiramisu I've had in my life. We were given a free appetizer and multiple free shots of limoncello! They staff were friendly and attentive and the meal and wine were delicious!

In the last 8 years we've visited every time we're in Florence (4th time and counting) and this time we were less "blown away" than previous visits. My fried polenta with mushrooms and Bolagnese sauce were nice (and fairly generous as was my wife's gnocchi) and were served pretty quickly. However, my main of "Grandma's meatballs" was overall disappointing for a very simple reason; I hear meatballs and I expect a little spaghetti on the dish (to be fair the menu didn't say spaghetti was included so it was my false assumption) rather than just 6 meatballs in a small dish. My wife's beef stew was generous with the meat (I was envious) but no sign of any pasta or vegetable served within the dish itself. Finally the house wine; maybe it's a post Covid thing or just a change in supplier but I'm sure I remember straw wrapped carafes of a Chianti filled from a barrel at a very reasonable price, now straw wrapped bottles (of an unknown grape(s) are sold at €10 (for a standard bottle) and didn't taste any better than the cheaper supermarket wine sold here. All in all I was disappointed but maybe my tastes have changed, my memory may be faulty and maybe they're just as good as they were but sadly I don't hold them in the same esteem as I once did.

We stumbled upon this restaurant due to location and reviews and ended up making reservations for a late dinner. The food was the best we’ve had in all of Italy (Rome, Venice, Bologna, Cinque Terre, Milan, and Florence) and the atmosphere is so casual and more like a family. Everyone is welcomed, but you know it’s a local favorite. The prices are unbeatable and the food is out of this world. We ended up coming back for a second time for our last dinner before heading back to the states because it was so good. We had the fresh tomato bruschetta, lasagna, veal, zucchini Parmesana, and a pistachio cheesecake. You’re missing out if you don’t eat here while visiting Florence. You also get unlimited limoncello for free after your meals.

Amazing place! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so fun. The staff is very friendly and we loved their humor (see the pics for their "uniform") Loved the lasagna and pasta

Came here during lunch which is 12:30 to 3pm. Friendly staff. Everyone is willing to help you. The pappardelle al cinghiale (wild boar) was very good. The star was the bisteca al Florentina. They say it's huge and it's $5/ 100 gram with a minimum of 1200 gm. Basically it's $60 for a big piece of t-bone of which you get about 3lbs. The meat itself is fairly well seasoned and predominantly rare bc that the traditional way to make it. Don't ask for well done as they will not do it from what I've heard. They also give you this herb mixture of salt, peper, rosemary, thyme and one more herb (i cant remeber). It was delicious. Add a small amount to your bisteca and you won't be disappointed. I asked the owner if I can buy some and he gave me a small take home portion. I'm grateful! Overall, this is a great place that serves you quickly and does it with heart and a smile.

Food was wonderful we had several dishes antipasti, pasta, meat and deserts… we ordered a little bit chaotic (kids just wanted pasta and dessert quite early) but the team was friendly and took us and themselves not to serious. That helped everyone and we had a lot of fun. A friend had a few questions about the meatballs and if it would come with pasta and the crew answered to my delight with a joke (gave him gluten free bread). We loved the Irony… I read here of how unfriendly the team is… if you can’t take the style you should not go here. If you can take it and are able to laugh with them about it, and about yourself it is good!!! The food is worth it. My boys eat a lot of pasta and the cingale was the best they ever had they said. It is a fair trade they tell you how they do the meat - if you don’t like it (I don’t like it always) order something else!!!

We got in because someone canceled their reservation. We ordered veal n rabbit stew. There is only one way to cook steak, their way or high way. It stated clearly on the menu. Veal actually cooked very good. Pavarotti ate here in table #12, same table we ate. Lol. friendly staff, family style. It's a fun place to eat.

Excellent environment, excellent service, excellent staff, AMAZING FOOD. I’m so happy we were able to eat here, we didn’t have a reservation as we thought it wouldn’t be too crowded, we were so wrong! Thankfully the guy and the woman on the entrance were able to give us a table for 1 hour after we got there, so I’d STRONGLY recommend to contact them before going and make a reservation. Besides the staff being absolutely wonderful, the food was so good. I couldn’t recommend it more. Thanks for the limoncello!!!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. We didn't have reservations but they were able to give us a table an hour later, at about 9:30pm. The tenderloin beef fillet with mushrooms and truffle cream was exquisite. Very flavourful and the beef was quite tender. The fried polenta with meat sauce and mushrooms was also a tasty appetizer. It was interesting to see what all the other tables had ordered because everything looked and smelled so good. Highly recommended!

Quite local place serving delicious pasta. Try the Pappardelle and the Pici, both are quite good. The bottled house wine (bottle on every table) is mediocre at best though. Great coffee of course, as expected. Friendly staff and great atmosphere all around!

Really delicious food. If you want to feel real Italian atmosphere, then walk a little bit away from centre and you'll find local food with reasonable price. I have been to several trattorias in Firenze and Tuscany, this one is really the best!

I wish I could give this place more stars, my dinner here a couple of weeks ago was incredible! One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had, my favourite meal during my 10 days in Italy. I had the pappardelle and tiramisu, with the house red to drink. The food was delicious and it was made ever better by the hospitality. I was on my own but it was a genuine pleasure, Lorenzo was so welcoming and so were the rest of his staff! A truly fun experience. The limoncello, amara and bay leaf liquor on the house were delicious, thank you. I wish I had asked if you sold bottles of the bay leaf to take back with me. The next time I am in Florence, I know where I will be going!

visiting tuscany at the minute and this spot came highly recommended via my best friend - i managed to get a last minute reservation and man, i'm so glad i did. we were blown away by how lovely the servers were, so kind and absolutely hilarious.. you can tell they're proud of what they do and that made the experience so much better. the food itself was unreal - probably the best lasagna i've ever had the pleasure of eating. all for such a fair price too. would have happily paid more. cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Crazy little trattoria, with an intentional young attitude—google Goliardia— which is super refreshing in a place like Florence (you’d rather expect it in Bologna instead). Offers standard dishes at reasonable prices. They are perfectly fine. I love the bruschetta with marinated anchovies, as a starter. Really enjoy the vibe and attitude. Would return.

I have been here 4 times already and I love the place. The food is good and the menu also has variations depending on what is in season (e.g. artichokes) or is available. For example, I once had amazing pappardelle with roe deer ragu. The staff is very efficient and friendly. Nobody takes each other too seriously which makes for a super chill atmosphere, with lots of free flowing limoncello and digestiefs!

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
