We had heard about 4 Leoni and their unique pear & ricotta fiocchi so we had to try it. We are so glad that we did. It may seem like a strange combination, but the pear & ricotta fiocchi were amazing and the rest of the food was delicious as well! We really liked the location of the restaurant too, because it was a little quieter and less hectic than other parts of Florence (even though it's only a street or two over from the busy areas). This was nice because we felt less rushed and more relaxed and could enjoy our meal and conversation. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Florence. It's a must visit!

Personally, I did not enjoy the pear and asparagus pasta at all. It was so creamy it killed my entire appetite. I suppose if you like intense cheesy/creamy/sweetness you’d like it better. Same goes for the lasagna. Great environment and staff though.

Very small tables with uncomfortable seating. The table barely fit one salad and two main dishes. The menu is entirely in Italian which is quite absurd for a touristy town as Florence. Excluding that, not every ingredient was described in the menu. The dishes were fine but nothing special and not worth the price. We got water from the tap and it was also warm. All dishes arrived on time and fast. However, we waited 15 minutes for dessert with an empty table. The staff was very kind, everything was clean and well laid.

Friendly, helpful service and absolutely delicious food! The salad with anchovies and burrata was an especially big hit and the fried artichokes were the best I’ve ever had. The polpo was just divine. There are heat lamps in the outdoor seating area. Make a reservation or arrive very early.

Excellent, tasty regional food made with prime, fresh ingredients. Lovely settings and decor, friendly service. Top place where to dine in Florence. They offer filtered table sparkling water which is simply superb.

Excellent service and food. Make sure to make reservations with plenty of time at this jewel of a restaurant. The Florentine steak was incredible and so was the pear stuffed pasta. We also loved the cheesecake with berries. I wanna come back again and again and again.

Phenomenal food. The puntarella, lasagne, and all the dishes were delicious. The staff is fun and casual, very welcoming. Highly recommended! It was suggested by a local.

This is a great little spot located close to the “real” neighborhoods. Ate both lunch & dinner on two different days. Highly recommend if you’re seeking a delicious meal that’s not a tourist trap.

Like everywhere in Florence you need a reservation here as well if you want to avoid a long waiting for a table. Service is fine and the dishes we got were good too. Came here for lunch.

My parents made our group come here from their previous trip. All of the food was awesome! You absolutely have to try the pear asparagus pasta. Definitely coming back! And the servers were very patient with our large group and super kind

We had dinner at Trattoria 4 Leoni during our recent stay in Firenze, and I must say that this stands out as one of our best dining experiences in the city! We did have reservations (highly recommended) and were promptly seated at a great outdoor table, with and incredible waiter, who had been working here for over 20 years. After discussing food allergies and preferences with, we entrusted him to select all courses for us - something we have never done before - and wow, what an incredible experience! Everything - including sfornatino di fagio, fiocchetti, ossobuco, schiaccia uva, and vino - was just amazing! The price was more than fair (about €45 each) and the location in the Oltrarno area of Firenze is the best! If you get the opportunity, don't hesitate to dine here!

Really liked this place! A great experience, good food, quick and friendly staff. We were lucky getting a table because of a cancellation, would recommend making a reservation before going here.

The food was good. We tried the beef tartar, polpo (octopus) melanzana (eggplant) parmigiano and the fiore du zuccha fitting (zucchini flowers). I especially enjoyed the octopus and zucchini. I recommend sitting outside. We were seated inside in the same room as a boisterous large table and the acoustics in the room made all their conversations so loud, that it was difficult to hear ourselves at times.

I have been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years. Last week in January, we ate outside under the stars under the heat lamps… It was absolutely magical. The food is always scrumptious. The decor inside is truly Tuscan. I love everything about this restaurant. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I had truffle pasta 3 times in Italy, and this was by far the best one. Went here on recommendation by a local colleague, and was not disappointed. Service was solid, with a friendly waiter, and the taglierini al tartufo was just sensational. The fried artichoke was also delicious. I’ll probably dream about this pasta for years to come.

Spent a month in Firenze and 4 Leoni was the only place we ate more than once. The steak was great; and this is coming from a Texan! My wife got the pear and taleggio pasta twice and spoke very highly both times. Make sure you make a reservation! The service was the best we had in Firenze.

I am not exaggerating when I say the pear ravioli is my death row meal…. Now I understand it may be an acquired taste for some people (maybe those who don’t like sweet cream pastas) but it was perfection for me!! This meal paired with red wine and sitting on their patio was the highlight of my trip. Staff were very kind and friendly despite us coming quite late and being the last ones out. We visited in august 2023 and we can’t wait to be back 💗

This place is a must try if you visit Florence. We did not have a reservation (which I recommend you make one), but the host was still very accommodating and able to seat us not long after we arrived. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had the pear raviolis, lasagna, and meatballs with a half bottle of the house wine.

I went here a few years ago and instantly fell in love with the high quality of food this restaurant had to offer. In addition, it's located in a charming and cozy piazza, which makes it ideal for dining al-fresco.

Great food especially the pasta. Highly recommend the tortellini on the first picture. The spaghetti with prawns also recommended. Was there 7 years ago and the food is still great!! Love the ambiance as well. Not touristy.

Located in a busy piazza with other bars which gave it a nice outdoors atmosphere !the interior was nice as well! Staff are very friendly and happy to explain the dishes as the menu was only in Italian (if you hadn’t learned the basics until that point like us then you will need their assistance!) All dishes and especially the pasta ones were very delicious! Unique tastes that you should experience along with a glass of local wine! Dont forget to try the cheese cake with berries at the end!

A very good spot, bit crowded and loud for dinner rush, but we enjoyed the food very much. Tortellini mugellani and fiori fritti were my choices, plus tiramisu for dessert. So much sauce, so much whipped cream, so much wine! Wonderful.

The tagliatelle with artichoke (carciofi) was delicious. The wine was good. Sadly, €2 for a carafe of tap water and €3 cover charge for plain bread (not served with olive oil or vinegar) were disappointing. Menu was only in Italian. The waiter would explain it in English, in a bit cold manner. They did not have the typical Tuscan dish of tagliatelle with fungi porcini.

This place was so delicious! We had the Fiocchetti di pere in salsa di taleggio e asparagi (pear pasta) and the steak ( smallest serving because it was just two of us) and they were both beyond our expectations. Come here!

They were great about providing seating for my wife and I even though we didn't have reservations. We tried the pear ravioli, fried zucchini flower, and baked ravioli and everything was perfect.

Wonderful experience at 4 Leoni! My husband and I came here with our small children (less than 3 each). The host was great and immediately found us a nice (separated) place outdoors. Our waitress, Evaluna, was a standout. She made us feel welcome and had a lovely friendliness to her. The food — outstanding. We ordered the house wine, the 4 Leoni salad, the osobucco, and the house specialty of fiocchetti di pera. Excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

4Leoni is my all time favorite restaurant in Florence! I've been here over a dozen times and they never stop impressing me. Super cute interior but even better food and wine. Highly recommend. i've been going here since 2012 and it just keeps getting better. you have to get the pear & asparagus ravioli - i dream about them!

Welcoming and friendly staff! Make sure to book a table ! We had burrata with ham as appetizer. Then we chose the Fiorentina meat which was excellent and so well cooked ! To finish with, we had Tiramisu which was also exquisite. One good restaurant to do in Firenze !
