We stopped here for snacks and drink. We didn’t expect but food was really good and beautiful restaurant. Especially, the staff was very nice and friendly. He made us feel so comfortable and also helped us a lot with lots of questions. We had Salad and a appetizer. I don’t remember what they were but i do remember they were so good.

The friendliest staff ever! We arrived at the restaurant during heavy heavy rain, completely soaked and freezing, but the lovely waiter made up for everything with his excellent service and attention. I (lactose intolerant) was guided through the menu with due care and my friend was offered a secret dish that was not on the menu. Highly recommend this place. Food was delish!

So far best meal on our trip. My wife says best meal she's ever had. Great staff. Get the sweet peppers side dish...OMG! Also had a yogurt cheesecake with honey that I consider the best dessert I've ever eaten.

Best meals we had in Florence. Looking inside I was skeptical about how good the food would be. I got the Tortelli Di Patate Al Ragu Fi Chianina. Blew me away after the first bite. The ragu is amazing Wife got the Pici Cacio E Pepe In Cialda Di Parmigiano. The parmesan wafer makes this dish amazing. Came to this place based on reviews and so glad we did.

Just had a Florentine steak at this nice neighborhood restaurant. Helpful and polite staff, had a nice conversation with one of the chefs (we came in very early in the evening). The food was good and the prices were reasonable. I would for sure recommend.

I asked google to direct me to the best steak in Florence, Italy! Nailed it! Must have Steak Florentina when in Florence. Borian our server was super informative about all the dry aged meats and the procurement of them. Sliced table side and placed on sizzling, cast iron skillet. This was truly an experience! The attentive staff made this a very memorable dinner. The octopus appetizer was such lovely flavourful surprise. Thank you!

the bisteca is to die for. Atmosphere was fantastic because we went a bit early and there was nobody there yet. Service was nice and fast! You absolutely get what you pay for… it was not cheap but would go there again…

Our server was very kind and made excellent recommendations for us, including some off-menu items. For a starter, he suggested pecorino cheese with honey, olive oil, and pine nuts (deadly good!) I had ravioli stuffed with burrata and caramelized onions, and my boyfriend had carbonara. Both were wonderful! Our server shared that the chef (who looks like your nonna, and has been in the business for 43 years) makes all the pasta from scratch - hand-rolled out, not with a machine. You will not go wrong dining here!

Best restaurant in Florence hands down. I have been living here for almost two years now and always recommend Bongusto if people are looking for amazing pasta and a great atmosphere! So many pastas are good here but my favorites are the cacio e pepe and the ravioli! If you’re visiting Florence, this place is a must visit!

This is the nicest restaurant we ate in during our stay in Florence. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good value and delicious. The mixed crostini starter was super. The osso bucco I had was tender and tasty, the roast potatoes were great and my wife loved her asparagus risotto. We ate at a couple of other nearby places where we thought "it was OK, but should have gone back to Bongusto!"

A steakhouse with delicious food and knowledgeable staff. They are also very fluent in English if that matters :) My favorite of the pastas was the wild boar ragu. The meat was cooked to a tender perfection and the sweet acidity of the tomatoes added a harmonious balance. The smoked bacon in the carbonara was also delicious. The steaks are delicious as well. Idk if it was the quality of the beef or the dry aging but even the tendons were surprisingly supple (for what they are anyway). Don't shy away from their recommendation for the rare cook. It is much better that way.

We found this spot while visiting Florence and we couldn’t have been happier! The atmosphere was warm, staff was super welcoming and the food was delicious! One of the best meals we had in Italy and we had some amazing meals!

We made a quick lunch stop into Il Bongusto in between tours and were delightfully surprised. We had the meat plate for 2, pappardelle alla ragu and paccheri. Our server was friendly and helpful and the food was great!

We came back here for the second night in a row. We love the people and the food. Last night we had the tagliata, the sliced chicken in cheese sauce and escalope of veal with tomato and capers. It was wonderful. The homemade desserts are fantastic. We love them, and you should definitely try them. The wait staff are very friendly and help you out a lot. It is very serene, which makes the food all the more enjoyable.

This is a really nice place to have quick descent Italian meal. They were very friendly, professional and proactive. There was only a small waiting time of 10 mins to get the dish. The place is very calm and quiet. The meal was only €10 (starters and the main dish), and it was worth for the price. The wine was also good, which was not included in the meal. Note: You will still end up paying around €16 for the complete meal, including the taxes.

Pasta, wine and dessert all delicious. Treated very well...but some menu items missing. The sliding front door needs adjustment as it makes loud noise each time open/close. Good ambiance.

Carbonara was too salty, didn't taste good. They don't have wine menu, the waiter takes the prices from his head. Also he tried to include 3 euro for water, that we didn't order, to our bill. And they serve pretty small portions. You should avoid this Restaurant.

The carbonara with truffle flakes was absolutely delectable and filling, that dish alone deserves the 5 star rating. All our other pastas were also excellent. Atmosphere is wonderfully small and authentic. Service was excellent. Strongly recommend for any person wanting to eat great food in Florence.

VERY personal attention from waiter and chef! Excellent service. Tender beef fillet, tasty ravioli, fresh ingredients all around. A relaxing dinner experience away from crowds in a newer restaurant.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere and food so delicious, we ate tartare and florentine steak 🥩 with wine that our waiter recommended to us. He knows everything very well about wine and recipes. We had a pleasure to talk to him and enjoyed food that amazing chef cooked.thank you so much and wish we can come back soon again!
