This
review
is
combined
with
the
review
for
"Osteria
del
Pavone".
Came
in
for
dinner
without
reservation,
what
a
mistake
on
the
weekend,
and
asked
for
a
table
for
2.
The
owner
suggested
that
we
sit
at
the
bar
since
there
was
no
free
table.
The
bar
looked
like
a
counter,
and
it
looked
like
he
was
in
the
middle
of
balancing
his
books
or
something,
but
since
we
like
to
sit
at
the
bar
for
dinner
we
thought
it
would
be
interesting
and
said
yes.
He
than
took
us
to
the
back
of
the
restaurant,
through
the
kitchen
and
through
a
small
door
into
a
different
room,
with
a
big
beautiful
bar,
waiters
dressed
in
suits,
and
soft
music
in
the
background.
This
was
"Osteria
del
Pavone".
Apparently
the
two
restaurants
are
connected
and
they
have
an
agreement
that
"Bianco"'s
customers
can
sit
at
the
bar
at
"Pavone"
if
there's
no
room.
So
we
got
the
food
from
"Bianco"
and
the
service
and
drinks
from
"Pavone".
Hence
the
combined
review.
We
started
our
meal
with
a
platter
of
meats
and
cheese,
served
with
2
crostinis
with
liver
patè.
The
meats
were
amazing,
good
quality
of
Tuscan
sausage
and
prosciutto,
and
a
good
quality
cheese.
The
patè
was
also
great,
served
on
a
good
piece
of
bread.
Next
we
had
the
dumplings.
They
are
like
ricotta
and
spinach
large
gnocchi.
They
were
fantastic.
The
texture
was
soft
with
a
real
spinach
flavor,
all
served
in
a
puddle
of
melted
butter.
We
thought
about
getting
the
onion
flan
but
we
didn't
since
it
comes
with
truffle
shavings
and
my
dinner
partner
doesn't
like
it.
But
a
lady
next
to
us
got
it.
It
looked
amazing
and
she
said
the
taste
was
exquisite.
We
didn't
know
what
meat
to
order
and
the
bartender
suggested
the
beef
fillet
with
chianti
sauce.
It
sounded
good
so
we
ordered
it.
The
man
knows
what
he
is
talking
about.
The
quality
of
the
meat
was
super
premium,
served
medium-rare
like
they
do
in
Firenze.
The
meat
was
soft
as
butter
and
cooked
perfectly,
served
with
roasted
potatoes
which
were
perfect.
But
the
real
star
was
the
sauce.
It
was
a
good
Chianti
wine,
reduced,
so
that
all
the
flavors
are
concentrated.
It
was
the
highlight
of
the
dish.
Since
we
couldn't
decide
on
dessert,
we
got
2
of
them.
One
was
described
as
dark
chocolate
with
white
chocolate
and
truffle.
It
was
just
that.
Good
quality
soft
dark
chocolate,
and
good
soft
white
chocolate,
and
some
truffle
shavings.
The
combination
of
the
flavors
was
unique
and
great.
They
paired
perfectly
together.
The
second
dessert
was
called
bigne
with
caramel
sauce.
The
dough
was
great
and
the
caramel
sauce
was
also
amazing.
The
bigne
was
filled
with
high
quality
vanilla
ice
cream.
A
sweet
dish
to
end
the
meal,
but
not
too
sweet.
The
food
here
is
one
of
the
best
I
had
in
Florence,
and
this
is
definitely
a
place
that
you
need
to
visit
when
in
town.
