Amazing! as a part of our week in Tuscany and the area.. this has been one of the best vegan friendly restaurants we've been to. We sat for lunch, so we received a very good service. We took the chef's choice for two, which costs 70 euro pp. It was absolutely wonderful - vegan dishes and tastes that were new to me (being more than 7 years vegan). The waiter explained everything in great detail and made our lunch a true experience, of food, wine, and great atmosphere. The small things like replacing cutlery, serving the wine appropriately, and telling about the dishes - made it a perfect event. I must point out though that there is only one vegan dessert among all the options, which was not very good in our opinion, we are used to chocolate based vegan desserts (which can be very tasty).

We enjoyed the delightful wine-paired tasting menu that surprised our taste buds from the amuse bouche through dessert. Service was friendly and attentive and the wine pairings were perfect. Let the chef surprise you - it's worth it!

WOW. Cuculia is deserving of some accolades— I don’t know how there isn’t a star hanging on their door. My boyfriend and I just so happen to walk by one night, thought the interior was beautiful, checked out the menu and was able to get a table for two. Little did we know what was in store for us. Andrea (not sure how to spell his name) was professional and personable, he helped us navigate our experience as well as our wine selection. Then the food came… the unique flavors, textures and nuances were spectacular. Everything was great so you should really just order what sounds good to you. Next time we’re in Florence we will definitely return and tell everyone we know to stop in as well 😊

We had a wonderful experience of the tasting menu and wine pairing - one vegan and one meat. Both were excellent. Lots of interesting flavours and ingredients. The staff are lovely too. The only disappointment was the vegan dessert which was quite small and weaker than the other dishes. Nevertheless, all in all a great experience.

Absolutely gorgeous food and place. Crossed this restaurant by sheer luck, got intrigued by the "chocolate" tagliolini and gave it a go, and what a surprise! Impeccable service, friendly and professional staff. The food is simply exquisite on all accounts. Would definitely return and keep this address in the absolute must go!

Wow, wow, wow!! What a fantastic ristorante find in Florence. On your trip, we went to several Michelin restaurants, and Cuculia Ristorante blew them all out of the water, and they are not a Michelin-rated restaurant. Anyway. to the review. We called and made a reservation prior. They were very accommodating. We got to the restaurant, which is off the main road. We walked in, gave our names, and were led to our table (which had a view of the kitchen) and offered water, etc. Very pleasant, and you could tell she was passionate about the restaurant. At around 10 to 15 minutes after taking in the fantastic atmosphere, we were served three complimentary hors d'oeuvres to start the experience. They were a showcase of what was to come, and the chef did not disappoint. Wow. Please see the picture below. We then received our appetizers. I ordered the Octopus and avocados in a rap, ceviche style. The presentation was impressive, and the combination of flavors was outstanding, which was the theme throughout the dining experience. After 10 mins of finishing the appetizer, we received our first courses. The tortellini with the pork and prawns was unbelievable! The combination of flavors with the demi-glace sauce was incredible. It is hard to describe how the flavor manifested itself in my mouth. Pork and prawn should not taste this way, but they did, and I was in food heaven. Sara received the cod wrapped in a pasta shell with bacon. Again a great variety of flavors. Both dishes were beautiful and so satisfying, I could not wait to get the next dish. Like any good restaurant, they let us think about the dish we just ate for ten to fifteen minutes. Next came the lamb. It had been slow-cooked; however, it was a perfect color and very juicy and flavorful. It also came with baked eggplant with buffalo mozzarella and two sauces that rounded out the flavors, giving a unique but dainty taste. I loved this. Well done again. It was now time to move to desert and cheese. Sara ordered the chocolate mousse. Sara loves chocolate and is very particular about it. Well, the mouse was to die for and got to taste it—a chocolate dream. I had the cheese selection—five different kinds of cheese. One jumped out at me. It was soft cheese with a chocolate powder coating. Amazing. I closed my eyes when I ate it . Yummy. Please note that we went out for dinner and lunch every day over three weeks and traveled around Italy, France, and UK. Anyway. If you were thinking about going for dinner at a favorable price, look no further than Cuculia Ristorante. The chef is Oliver Betancourt. His wife, our server Roberta and our other server Andrea. Thank you.

What an incredible experience we had here. We went for the Vegan tasting (8 course version) with paired wines. Every course was beautiful - a highly creative vision, executed with great skill, plated with intention, and presented with elegance. The flavour quality and combinations were truly mind-blowing, and we felt so lucky to be tasting all of it. When eating Vegan it can be easy to feel like you’re missing out or not quite experiencing the best of the kitchen’s cuisine - but this was absolutely not the case at Cuculia. In fact, I’d struggle to imagine food any better. The service was also amazing. Rebecca took incredible care of us throughout our meal. She was so welcoming, hospitable and really took the time to explain every dish and wine in great and exciting detail. She also was happy to answer all of our many questions, and did so with confidence, kindness, and detail. The wines she chose to pair with our dishes really complimented to flavours in the food - as well as enhancing the characteristics of the wines themselves. Thank you for making our experience here an unforgettable one! And thank you to the kitchen for a truly unforgettable meal! We hope to return if we are in Florence again :)

This restaurant is one of the best and most price worthy places in all of Firenze. The servers João and Niccolò gave the best possible service and advice on choices on the menu. We had the broccoli and tomato with hummus as an appetizer, then the tortelli as a primi, the pork with sweet potato as secondo platti and the chocolate mousse as dessert. It was some of the best dishes we’ve ever tried, especially for the price. The wine, the liqueurs and heavy liquors they offered were out of this world. This is not our first visit to Firenze, nor will it be the last to Cuculia. Grazie mille per tutti!

We were planning to try something quick at trattoria, but all fully booked. We stepped in this ristrorante, it was sublime! I enjoyed every dish offered. Every bit appreciated ingredients they carefully used and grow. Quite a few vegan and vegetarian options. This can be extremely challenging in Italy, but luckily they offered. Three amouse bouche, risotto - very gooood with fermented lemon! And this pea gaspacho, it was so memorable dish. The best of all is negroni with Toscana Negroni! Very very enjoyable!

Cuculia is a MUST try for anyone visiting Firenze. The menu is incredibly thoughtful, diverse, and delicious. Homemade pastas, interesting takes on classic dishes, will keep you satisfied while taking your tastebuds on an amazing journey. Prices are affordable for a date night or a family dinner, and the quality is so worth it! Have been twice now and will go back the next time I’m in Firenze!

The staff was so nice and accommodating and very knowledgeable when it came to their dishes and wine pairing. The chef prepared the meals’ and flavors absolutely amazingly. The menu has dishes designated as vegan, vegetarian, as well as gluten free, making it a great place for all kinds of dietary preferences or even for someone who has none. His creations were unique and it was a nice change from your typical Italian cuisine that you find on every corner. I am vegan and tried the seitan which wasn’t really my kind of dish and they were more than helpful with creating something new for me which were these delicious mushroom & pepper rice paper rolls with tahini and cashews. They were so good that the plate was completely cleaned.

I was enchanted by this restaurant in via dei Serragli in Florence. Refined cuisine, competent and kind staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere. I chose the chef's freehand tasting menu because for once I wanted to be guided without choosing. I trusted and I did well. Mrs. Alice in the dining room explained all the dishes to me down to the smallest detail. The flavors very distinct from each other, as a whole they were an explosion of taste. The beef tartare was very good, .. the plin stuffed with tail, herring and celery was amazing. My husband chose tortelli stuffed with rabbit, black cabbage extract..ooh incredible. We have choosen a not too sweet dessert with a delicate lemon and chamomile cream. I recommend this restaurant to all people who want to take care of themselves and their vacation

My husband and I had a truly wonderful experience here. The food was tasty and utterly beautiful. I appreciated that some of the dishes were more creative and innovative and other were elegant takes on more traditional recipes. A special mention goes to the kefir and burnt lemon risotto: the pairing worked brilliantly and the cooking point was PERFECTION. Even with food restrictions or preferences there were plenty of dishes. This shows how much the kitchen cares about the guests and how hard they work to make everyone happy. Last but not least: outstanding front of the house. An incredible team works at Cuculia to make sure you have the best time ever. They are professional, kind, empathetic and smart.

I think till today it was still the best BEST lamb rack I ever EVER had. Really suggest to try out this place. It might look a bit uptight at first but price are proper considering the quality of the food you get. Recommended.

My family and I had an amazing dining experience here! The staff were kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely amazing (would highly recommend the avocado roll with octopus and the gazpacho). We were surprised with a complimentary sampling of starters, which were specially tailored to be enjoyed by the whole family - my sister is vegan, so this was much appreciated! Thanks so much to the staff at Cuculia for the wonderful dinner and service!

I forgot a couple pictures because I was too excited to eat it. They are wonderful company and care about the art of what they do. We had a chef’s choice experience with 5 courses (then a desert) and they did not disappoint. Fortunately we had a group without allergies, so we had a wonderful fish lunch. Besides the fact that the food was the most incredible I have had in Italy, the company the experience made it amazing. We were there from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM enjoying the company we had, a few glasses of wine, and of course - the best food around. It is not your classic restaurant , and don’t expect it to be, it will be the most interesting food you will have and if you go into it with an open mind - I promise it will not disappoint. It’s more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!!
