Got this recommendation from a coworker back in Sweden. During our 6 days Italy trip this restaurant was definitely our best experience. The food was exceptional, the staff were very friendly and professional. The Florentine Steak was so delicious, paired with a perfect Barbera d’Asti wine and ended with a perfect cup of Affogato. Will definitely revisit if we come back to Firenze. ⭐️

We absolutely, deeply madly loved our meal here. In fact, we loved the scallop pasta so much we ordered another one right after! Trust me, it’s simply the best! We’re so glad we had it on our first day in Florence so we have time to come back for more!!

From the minute I arrived I was warmly greeted by the staff. The architecture and specifically the brickwork in this beautiful 15th century building is worth a visit in itself. I had the linguine Vongole which was okay but had a few loose pieces if shell in it which hurt my teeth. The wine here is the cheapest in Florence.

My friend and I had a lovely dinner here last night, slightly tucked away from the busy tourist traps. It was refreshing to receive such genuine and kind service, and we were happy to take a break from all the meat heavy and pasta dishes - the seafood, in particular the sea bass florentine style, absolutely hit the spot. Highly recommend!

The owner served us and kindly explained everything. The food was fantastic and wine list super. We even bought a bottle of Grappa from him! Booking recommended.

Of all the restaurants we tried in the 4 cities - Florence, Venice, Milan and Rome in Italy, this is the best meal we had. We tried the filet mignon with spinach, lobster pasta, tagliata di manzo (sliced beef with roasted potatoes), Chianti wine and pistachio pannacotta and all were excellent! Really attentive and warm service as well. The owner was super down to earth and explained all of the menu in detail. Waitresses also checked in regularly to ensure we were enjoying the meal. All in all, a fantastic experience! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

My best and favorite experience in Firenze!Here you’ll find exactly what you’re expecting when coming to Tuscany. The food is delicious, fresh, homemade, the hardest part is to choose! Fortunately you’ll get the perfect (and honest) recommendation and advice from the lovely, wonderful staff, just let them guide you if you can’t decide, you can’t be disappointed here! They also know their wines and they will provide he perfect match (fantastic red wine to pair with the sea bass) Finally the atmosphere is warm and typical. Definitely a gem not to be missed! Thanks again for those two amazing, memorable dinners, I’ll come back as soon as possible!

Out of the five restaurants I went to in Florence, this is hands-down the best one! Tastiest fresh pasta and tender sea bass (they debone the whole fish in front of you). Also it’s the best value for money! Friendly service too.

Recommended by our Airbnb host, this place serve amazing good food, exceptional service from the boss and price is good too. Ordered a Hamburger and a Penette. Finished the entire plate and ended with a Strawberry Cheesecake and coffee. Wonderful lunch.

We didn't even eat here because of the absolutely horrible staff experience we had on arriving at the time of our reservation. For the man who met us at the door, don't take your problems out on your potneial customers!!!!!!! I posted this review out of respect for myself and people considering this restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to me by family and I was so excited to eat there and the menu looked super but I was treated horribly at the door, shouted at due to the frustration of the man who wasn't ready to receive people at the time they had booked for and he shouted late late five minutes late. I had no interest in eating in a place where people are treated so badly and walked away shaken. I have eaten on every continent and have never had an experience like this. I have also provided this feedback to The Fork who I booked the reservation through and I will under no circumstances delete this review as you have continued to treat me badly. Any CCTV footage will confirm what I've said so there's no point in the restaurant denying this. I use Google reviews to see what places are like in advance of booking so I want people to see this. I rarely make a negative review which you can check but when service is awful people deserve to know.

Brilliant staff who offered recommendations and helped with the extensive and well crafted wine list. The appetisers were incredible. Truffle pasta and l bone steak were amazing too. Staff helped with booking a taxi. We left feeling very merry.

Charming, classic Tuscan restaurant. Extensive seafood menu. Enjoyed appetizer, 1l sparking wine, steak, sea bass, afrogatto fir under 70 euro.

The service was excellent and we were not rushed. The staff was friendly and personable. In addition, the food was impeccable. Highly recommend eating here. This is not a tourist trap, but it is authentic Italian food and is a hidden gem!

I found this restaurant on The Fork website. This Osteria in the heart of Florence was one of best places I have ever eaten in in my life. The staff was amazing and super friendly, the food was incredible and the price is extremely reasonable. Will definitely come back again in the future! :)

My Italian friend recommended me this restaurant and it was quite good. Tiramisu was my fav because usually it’s too sweet but this one wasn’t.

We came to Florence for 3 nights and found this little gem on our first night. The food and was amazing, and the smiley service superb! It was clearly loved by locals (always a good sign) as most tables were occupied. We went back on our final night (again hardly a table unoccupied), as during our weekend in this lush city, we had not found another restaurant where they served such good reasonably priced food, served with a smile! Thank you so much Domenico and the two super friendly waitresses!
