If you’re in Florence come get your pizza here! With the mountain of choice, it’s hard to figure our where to go, but you seriously can’t go wrong with this place. Located in an old monastery, it’s a very peculiar place to have dinner, but the food is absolutely incredible. I went by myself, so it was a bit awkward having a candlelit dinner alone, but if you can get over that (fellow solo travellers) this is the place to be. I did need a reservation so don’t be scared to call a few days in advance I had the maradonna pizza. I am writing this review in august, and i went in may. I am still dreaming about this pizza!! So so so good, for a very reasonable price! To finish, i had a lemon sorbet to try and digest the pizza, and it was the perfect finishing touch!

We were a big group, about 130 people and they took good care of us. Fun, festive atmosphere. A mix of old and modern Italian design. The pizzas were so good! Great wine, house wine. Pizza oven visible and pizza makers tossing the dough. Bathrooms were good size. I couldn't get the water to come out to wash my hands till someone pointed to the foot pedal on the floor, haha! Clean, fun atmosphere and delicious food. We went there after our choir concert. Perfect.

One if the best traditional Napoli pizza places in Florence—it might also be the best pizza I’ve ever had! The decor is strange but once you get over that you’ll be in pizza heaven. Just go! Thank me later.

Got recommended by our hotel concierge, BEST RECOMMENDATION EVER! We got there at exactly 7:30 and were seated immediately, our server was the nicest!! He explained the ingredients and plates we didn’t understand. We ordered the Montanara Clasica (Fried Pizza) SO GOOD!!! And we ordered the Positano Pizza and the Maradona pizza. It was just two of us so we didn’t expect to finish both pizzas by ourselves but they were SO good that we had to finish them!! The maradona is very spicy 🌶️ but it’s so good, and my husband normally orders the Napolitana, so we opted for the positano to try something different and he LOVED it!! We were so full at the end but the waiter recommended we try the lemon sorbet and it was delicious as well. Overall, such a good experience, good food and very nice service. The only thing is that when we got to the hotel we noticed they charged us three pizzas instead of two so just double check before you pay the bill. But we were so happy with the experience we would definitely go back.

The food was good, but they made us wait around 90 minutes for the pizza. As this is a usual thing going on in this restaurant , I can’t reccomend it. pd: when the pizza came, the bottom was completely burned, unacceptable.

Very good pizza although I've heard it used to be better. We had a nice time but were lots of people, so the service was a bit slow

One of the best pizza spots around! Once there be sure to taste their selection of special pizzas and reserve a table next to a big oven where the cooks reside and seem to have a real good fun!

Pizza dough was very digestible and yummy. Topping could be placed better. The cheese quality was SUPER good.

We found this place back in 2014 and fell in love with it. A local directed us here saying that the pizza was the best Italian pizza in Florence. We were not disappointed. The food was divine. I hope they are still going strong after the pandemic.

Unassuming from the outside, and upon first glance even dark and questionable from the inside- don't let this gem pass you by! Amazing and unique atmosphere and setting with some of the best pizzas you can get in Florence. However, while everything else was amazing the service was rather cold and unpleasant, it was mostly overshadowed by the delicious food and setting, but still enough to be noteworthy.

Absolute secret tip in inconspicuous little street. The food was very good including very delicious tiramisu, the service excellent and very attentive. We were served without reservation very quickly and had a wonderful evening. Will definitely come again!

Front of the restaurant looks dark and dingy but really nice when you get to the tables. Some of the best food I have been had in Italy. Deep fried calzone was incredible - never had anything like it!

Delicious pizza with great variety to choose from. The bread is delicious, the sauce and ingredients done just right. The interior of the place is beautiful with nice music as well

Amazing Pizza! This came recommended to us by two chefs from Florence. Great quality ingredients and a great place for Italian pizza.

The ambiance is of a tacky restaurant in America that is trying too hard to have an “authentic old world Italian feel”, complete with gross laundry hanging above your head. The pizza was mediocre with the wrong ratio of cheese, sauce and bread. The servers were nice but over worked and under staffed. All in all, not worth the 1.5 hour wait for pizza when the restaurant was 10% occupied.

We had a lovely dinner here. The service was so polite and friendly, the atmosphere was romantic and peaceful. We shared a pizza (Maradona) which was very tasty, but I especially loved my dessert (lemon crème brûlée). I would definitely recommend this place to others!

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
