This place segregates the Americans in a separate room. When we asked to get French fries ( which are on the menu) with our $175 euro meal we were told this is not possible per the chef according to our waiter. You definitely get treated like a foreigner here and we were nothing but polite. They sure didn't mind our money. The bistecca was excellent. But I would go somewhere else if I had to do it over again. We dined here in 2016 and our not unreasonable requests were met. (I also included a picture of the table next to us which had french fries)

Best fiori di zucca in all Firenze! Server changed his mood once we refused to order a bottle of wine, and did have to wait to get some attention after that, but I can let it pass because food was amazing. Great Tuscan flavors, not so friendly service.

This felt like an authentic restaurant and was off the main touristy part … although of course, lots of tourists. The service was good and jolly but not without a few minor errors. The food was also good but not amazing. The Caprese salad lacked something although the cheese was incredibly fresh. The past was good and perfectly cooked although there were a few pieces that stuck together. The Risotto was also good but nothing special. Spinach left A LOT to be desired. This place gets 4 stars because of the ambiance and the feeling you have dining there as well as the welcoming service. It gets 3 starts for food and if I was basing it purely on that, not sure it’s worth another visits, especially given the price (30 euros/person without alcohol). Although maybe the meat dishes are better??

A wonderful dining experience! The Florentine steak was delicious. The waiter was playful, helpful and made the evening a great dining experience. The atmosphere was typical of an Italian trattoria.

An old authentic trattoria in the center of Florence. They have some traditional local dishes on the menu and of course the florentine steak. We enjoyed the polenta bruschetta, the tasty ossobuco and the crispy pumpkin flowers. The steak was also tender and juicy. The staff was friendly and love to make jokes with their customers.

Amazing service, also very good appetizer and meats. We got the large hors d'oeuvres, which had a great selection of meat and bread with mushroom and liver I believe. The pasta was also very good

It was so great that we went twice during our stay! Great food, great staff! The fiorentina steak is a MUST when in Florence. Our was 1,2kg Their ravioli were absolutely delicious. We ordered them both the times. The staff was kind and friendly. We really appreciated that. We will definitely go again, when in Florence

A beautiful dinner, left very happy and stomach full. Steak was done to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly, a big thanks to Simone, Alessio and Antonio for making the dinner even better!

We stumbled onto this restaurant and decided to try it. The food was excellent and one of the better meals we had while in Italy. I had the bolognese and it was my favorite bolognese on our trip. The Torta della Nona was delicious. Also the house red Chianti was so good.

A true traditional Italian restaurant and food. We had to book for the following day because they are that busy and we understand why. The food is truly amazing, we all ordered different dishes and we were happy with every single one of them. The service was a little slow but understandable because they were fully booked. I believe this restaurant is completely family owned and run too.

We took the 25/p lunch wine included offer that seemed awesome. I’d guess if you like pasta and dislike meat it should be good for you. Appetizers were great. For entrees they brought 2 pasta meals to share , each on a dinner for one plate. After that was desert , which was good. Long story short, Kids went hungry.

It’s a place to trick tourists: overpriced compares to somewhere 5 more mins away, not attentive service, and verbal request for tips. The steak is not nicely done - some part over cooked while other under cooked; and the waiter never came to check how the food was done, which btw was way too salty. It’s not impressive at all and doesn’t live up to the fame of Tuscany food

a typical italian trattoria. the food is delicious however did not like the steak but the tagliatelle with mushrooms was incredible. Service was great and in general the prices were fine. Enjoyed.

This was without a doubt the best restaurant I've been to in all of Italy. The food is simple yet complex in flavour. I had the risotto with zucchini flowers sauce and leeks, which was the best risotto I have ever had. The real star was the homemade tiramisu. My favorite dessert in the world is tiramisu, and I have ate 6, in a span of 4 days. This tiramisu made my eyes water, that's how good it was. It was like I finally had the best dessert of my life. It's that good. I wish I took a picture of it but I couldn't put my spoon down.

Best traditional Italian food at a very good price! Oso Buco, tagliatelle, Tiramisu at its best! We will be back next time in Firenze!

My husband and i had the most amazing dinner here with Franco! We had the best experience! We found this restaurant by pure chance, hidden in Florence. The restaurant is the oldest in the city and they have absolutely perfected their Florentine steak over the 100+ years since they opened! absolutely recommended! Be sure to finish off dinner with Nonna’s cake.

One of the oldest and possibly the oldest eatery in Florence. It is very cozy and welcoming. Waiters are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The food is great!!! Portions are sizable. Our waiter Claudio made the evening very special. Thank you!

Loved it but average. Food was good and abundant. Service was outstanding. I was a bit sad with the panna cota, It tested as if was bought from the supermarket.

It was good not great but worth trying experience. I really enjoyed the unappealing appetizer and the pesto pasta. It was my first time trying Vin santo with the biscotti. We had the house wine, red, it was really good.
