Spoiler alert: this place had some of the best dishes I’ve tried in Italy! Food: all of it was great! Genuinely. Fresh and flavorful. The caprese was very fresh and the cold cuts board was a great starter! But, the truffle bufala tartare was a standout dish and must-try! The steak with porcini mushrooms came in a close second. Service: the servers are super friendly and helpful with a welcoming feel. Ambiance: the place is very close to the central market and has a very welcoming and nice vibe mostly perpetuated by the servers. Pro tip: ask for the specials on the day, you can’t go wrong with them and if you don’t like any of them, make sure you try the truffle tartare!

This place was so good we went there twice during our 5 day stay in Florence. The service is top tier. Get the tiramisu to end your meal. You will not be disappointed. Our server (young girl with light brown hair and glasses) was the absolute best. Such a hard worker. I would have given 10 stars if that was allowed. Bravo!

What an amazing experience at this restaurant. The staff was kind enough to accept our 11 person last minute reservation after a little bit of pleasing. Staff is very attentive and quick. Very polite and respectful. We obviously ordered a Florentine steak and every other pasta on the menu. So many goodies I can’t remember them all, but what I do remember is everything being delicious and presentable. For those of you that don’t know, a Florentine steak is traditionally served rare to medium rare. Trust me it’s delicious.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and our precious server (sweet young girl w glasses & brown hair) was the best! My daughter and I each had the ravioli - incredible!! Everyone else loved their food also. We are a family of 6, so pleasing all 6 of us is impressive! Our server insisted my husband get the pistachio dessert and then stood over him and said, “Try it!” 😂 We are glad we listened to her recommendation, it was delicious!

Anywhere that offers Great Gluten free items in their menu should be recognized. I had an amazing dinner, with Ragù pasta and great starters. Good wine, coffee and dessert. The service was fast and super friendly. Prices were really good. If you are celiac, or follow a gluten free diet, then stop at Da Garibardi and enjoy some pasta and a cup of Chianti wine. Their menu has the gluten free certification logo, and many delicious things to eat.

What a great food place! Fair prices, delicious food, welcoming and warm staff. Also, they have a separate gluten free menu with many options and gluten free bread. That s a perfection for me! Also, pizza with gluten was amazing according to my boyfriend. Thank you and good luck 💕👏

Nice atmosphere. Cozy, welcoming. Polite but slow service. Food is okay; the cod was a bit strong in odor but okay in flavor. The enterocote with arugula was fine. Salad was decent.

What a discovery! Carbonara and Pumpkin & Gorgonzola Risotto extremely delicious. Meatballs as a starter is a good option too. The waiter and service was kind and fast! Recommended

The dining experience here is exceptional, from the delectable dishes to the inviting ambiance. The tartare, in particular, stands out with its exquisite flavors and meticulous preparation. This place is a culinary gem, combining great food and a delightful atmosphere for an overall outstanding experience. And house wine…..

Very beautiful design and good crew. We have ordered pizza. I am not expert but I can say that was not 5 star pizza. It doesn’t mean the resultant is not worth. In central Firenze it’s hard to find an authentic Italy kitchen. But Da Garibardi is one of the good restaurants in area.

Our top restaurant during our time in Florence! Wonderful food, service, and patio seating! They also have a great gluten-free (and normal) menu. Not only are allergens clearly marked, but you can also get gluten free pasta, pizza, bread, desserts, and many other items! My husband can eat all things, but I’m gluten and egg intolerant. This was a perfect spot for both of us. We had mussels, pizza, seafood pasta (it was absolutely delicious!!), and a Greek salad. Negronis, Spritz’s, and great wine selection. Everything was on point. If we had discovered this place sooner than our last day we would have gone back multiple times. Be sure you try it out when you are in Firenze!

Came here to have some Florentine steak. We did end up asking for it cooked a little more which they were nice enough to do. The food was good and the ravioli was very good. The side of potatoes was just okay, could've gone without as they didn't add much to the experience. We wanted to go with the cheapest wine because all wine in Italy is delicious as is. Our waitress suggested a different wine for slightly more that would go better with the steak so we gave it a try. It ended up being the worst wine of our trip! So dry our mouths were deserts lol. So that wasn't great.

Our waiter Alexandro was fantastic from start to finish. My wife had the beef stew while I had the ribeye kg as our main course. We started with a caprese salad. Each dish was done to perfection and paired with a nice chianti. A ricotta desert with a sambucca capped off a beautiful experience. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing! Made a reservation and was seated quickly. Appetizers and truffle pasta was spectacular. Wine was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

A friend who is gluten free recommended this place to us. I am so glad we went. The food, wine, and service was incredible. We even bought a sweatshirt because the staff have matching shirts with the cutest logo on them. We will recommend this to every friend who comes to Florence, gluten free or not! Can’t wait to come back!

Staff is very lovely and charismatic, service is quick, and food is amazing. I ended up going twice while in Florence, really recommend it. The tartare was great, much better than some more expensive ones I had around the city. Tiramisu was amazing. Fair price, delightful food.

This place is incredible! My husband has to eat gluten-free and was worried on this trip he wasn’t going to be able to enjoy the amazing food of Florence, than we ate here not only once but twice. They have a completely separate gluten free menu with lots to choose from. We had the Florentine steak the first night and the second night we tried a few different kinds of pasta all were amazing. They had a gluten free version of the traditional Tuscan stew that was so delicious and perfect to the start the cold evening. Their desserts were incredible as well.

We had a wonderful late lunch. The staff were so friendly and helpful and my wife continues to rave about her pistachio dessert. For appetizers we had fried artichokes, the traditional bean soup the pecorino cheese and pear ravioli. I had a filet steak. I raise my own beef and their steak passed the test. My sister had the spaghetti with a duck ragu sauce and my wife had a pizza and we all thought the food was outstanding. They were very helpful in selecting the wine for lunch. I would definitely go back!

We called for reservation to check if they have a table within 15 minutes, luckily they had it available. The interior decoration was nice. Food was amazing. We had seafood risotto, Florentine ribeye steak, margarita pizzas and cheese and ham calzone. We loved everything we ordered and the service was great!

The food was quite tasty and very friendly service. I had the truffle pasta and bean soup. The portions were large and I couldn't finish the pasta before getting too full!

My local Italian language teacher brought the class here for lunch. A specious restaurant, with an available covered outside patio as well. A great menu. A fast efficient service. The food was delicious and everyone's plate arrived at the same time. A great bottle of wine

Discovered @trattoriadagaribardi in a small plaza surrounded by many restaurants, and they were one of the few that had a queue of visitors. The dishes were delicious but also feels very home-y, especially the seafood risotto. Glad that I got to try these Florentine cuisine and I really appreciate how straightforward but flavorful they are!
