Charming, little wine bar tucked away on a side street near Ponte Vecchio. Family-owned by Walter, the waiter, and his lovely wife, Aphrodite, who is the chef. The food is homemade including all the pastas. I had the tagliatelle with yellow summer tomatoes and burrata, amazing, followed by the tenderloin in balsamic - it was absolutely delicious!! Very reasonably priced especially for the proportions. And Walter is so nice. He treats you like a good friend. The best! Don’t miss this little gem in the heart of Firenze!! Posting the menu for those who want to peruse before making a resy

My sister and I shared a meal here on our last night in Italy and we could not have asked for a better way to end our trip. This restaurant was recommended by a trusted travel agent and we could not have been happier. Walter and his wife bought this restaurant in the Spring of 2023, so any old, not-so-good reviews should be ignored. It is a tiny restaurant with incredible charm on a quaint little street one block from the river. Walter, our server, and his wife, the chef (owners), made our evening wonderful. The hospitality was unmatched and the food was incredible. We can't recommend this sweet establishment enough!

Good food, but a bit expensive since all the sides are a la carte. Our steaks were delicious but it was unaccompanied by anything else. Compared to other nearby restaurants, this one turned out quite expensive.

We went to the restaurant during a food tour and was great. The owner come to greet us all and very welcoming. The food presentation was 👌 wonderful and I hate that I can find my pictures for the pasta dish he served and a potato/risotto side dish that was so delicious!!😋My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves!!

We had such a great dinner here. It was our first dinner in Tuscany, the waiter was very kind and friendly, the food was perfect. The prices are a bit high compared to other cities, but for Florence they are ok.

What a wonderful find! A relative of ours had dined here before and recommended it, so we gave it a try. We’re so happy we did. Walter waited and served us, only to find out he’s the owner along with his wife. The food and ambience was great. We had the beef fillet with Chianti reduction, with a side of spinach. We loved the opportunity to chat with fellow diners from the UK.

Wow, amazing :) Definitely recommend you to come here! The food was incredible and the server is one of the kindest people. The street is not crowded from tourists and the perfect place to calm down! Thank you for the great time

Best restaurant we visited in Florence. We were served by Walter who explained everything from start to finish. His wife is apparently the chef which he took huge pride in. We got tomatoes for starters and some cheese with honey. Then, I got Steak with balsamic sauce and my wife had the homemade ravioli for main. Best steak I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and the ravioli was delicious. I had tiramisu for desert and my wife had Italian apple pie. Walter recommended wine for me to go with my meal. Absolutely 10/10 from start to finish. It’s a small restaurant with a great vibe off of the main square. Perfect if you want to avoid all of the tourist traps and get something that is great value and truly Italian.

Divine food, we had some wonderful starters but the real star of the show was the pasta. The duck sauce is simply amazing, and carbonara is excellent. Truly impressive, fantastic dinner in a very cosy and welcoming place. The only downside is that we were enjoying the food so much we didn't take any pictures, so you just have to take my word for it.

This incredible restaurant is run by a husband and wife duo (Walter and Aphrodita). The food was delicious, the venue comfortable and intimate. We ordered some wine, some starters (zucchini carpaccio was delicious), two pastas (Risotto and Ravioli), and the steak with balsamic glaze. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the service and food are. This is a lovely stop for anyone in Florence and one we plan to return to.

Amazing little Osteria, we were immediately impressed by the ambiance and our host Sara. We had such a great meal, with starters and secondi steak fillets. Well priced with nice wines to match, we really enjoyed the meal so much we came back the following night for some drinks and appetisers.

We loved this place. We were walking down the street, we saw it, and couldn’t be more happy of coming in. Sara treated us with so many good foods of the region. Definitively a gem when getting to Florence!

A lovely restaurant with great authentic local food and a very casual atmosphere. We like our steak cook more than traditional Florentine recipes and they were very accommodating. We started with a nice pasta dish and then the steak. Both dishes were excellent. The waitstaff was lovely and charming.

Incredible. Food was fantastic. My mother is gluten and lactose intolerant and they went above and beyond to cater to her needs. Will absolutely go back again. So glad we found it.

Loved it. Small, cosy, intimate restaurants that serves great local food. Everything was delicious and the server was so lovely. She went out of her way to make sure everyone felt taken care of and checked in regularly. We ordered - bruschetta - tagliatelle with duck - the potato tortelli with ragù Loved it. Would highly recommend going there for dinner.

Visited at evening with a party of 6. Very friendly service. Good wine at reasonable price. Had the large meat board to share - the jams and cheeses were very good. The lasagna was different than what I was expecting with less cheese but still very tasty. I had the zucchini starter and again - very different than my expectations but delicious. A dining partner had the Filet and didn’t enjoy it very much. The beef stew was pretty good. My dad had a pizza with truffle and cheese - this was great and the bread was very fresh - kind of like a focaccia dough.

We happened upon this restaurant our first night in Florence, and made sure to return again for our last meal here. Walter and his wife, Aphrodite, were absolutely amazing host and chef, and the food was absolutely incredible. The goat cheese appetizer was one in a million, the tagliatelle was so good I had to get it twice, and the best was the steak in balsamic reduction. Both times I had it, Aphrodite cooked it to perfection. Would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a comfortable, inviting, and delicious meal.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
