Absolutely enjoyed visiting this Resturant with my family. Everything was top notch for us. Food was very tasty and the aesthetics/plating was lovely. A fantastic selection/array of Wines available as well. Lauretta was a very pleasant waitress. She and the other waiters knew the menu very well and were happy to explain the meals and advise on allergies as well. She went above and beyond to recommend, assist, and serve. Goes without saying that the service here was very good too. Starters were prepared in less than 15 minutes and right after, our mains were ready too. With many other customers to attend to, we didn’t have to struggle for their attention as Lauretta occasionally came by to ask if everything was okay. Finally, seating was comfortable. Soft chairs, lovely design and when someone felt a little cold, they offered to revive the AC and provide a warm cloth. Totally recommend the Resturant for friends and families - looking forward to coming here again!

What a great find. We dined here about a month ago and really thought highly of the food and the service. I had the wild boar and she had the white beans in oil. A lite lunch before heading to the train station. Walking distance from all around.

Great food! Service was great, the seeds were friendly and joined around a little about the fact that our wait didn't speak English well. They prefaced or meal letting us know to ask for the other waiter if we had questions, they they proceeded to tease him by telling him to translate everything on the menu for us haha

Searched for a good place to get an authentic bistecca alla fiorentina and found this place due to a good discount online. The steak was great, well served on the sizzling hot cast iron plate with some fries potatoes and that's was great. Topped with a fair house half bottle reservation and good service it got my recommendation. Take.a look for a discount the owner was very online savvy

Braceria Bisteccheria is a lovely, albeit slightly expensive, restaurant in Florence known for its steak. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful; they even taught us a bit of Italian! I asked for a light-bodied, sweet, white wine and that's exactly what I got. That bottle of Ironcati was probably the best white wine I've ever tasted. The steak was tender, though a bit under cooked but apparently that's the Florentine way, and the souffle was so soft and airy. The prices are a bit high though, especially for the steak. If you're willing to shell out a few more euros than usual, I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a nice dinner in Florence.

Very cozy and lovely place to have dinner. Traditional Tuscany food and great selection of wines. Everything was delicious! The stuff is super welcoming and helpful. Waitress were very helpful with wine selection. We even returned the day after because we really loved the place. Totally recommend!

The restaurant looked great on the outside and had a fairly good rating so we thought it’d be a perfect spot for dinner. The food was subpar for the price and the service was bad. Not sure if our waiter didn’t like tourists or if he was just having a bad day, but every time we’d ask for something he’d snap back real quick. Appetizer came out after the food did and when a comment was made the waiter said “why wait for 3 pieces of bread?”isn’t that the point of an appetizer? to eat before the meal? Steak being medium rare is the norm but this was chewy and rare - barely cooked. Seafood didn’t seem fresh and wasn’t worth ordering again. Pinot Grigio was good though.

On October 7th, 2022, at the end of our almost 3 weeks of North Italy journey, we decided to have a last good dinner. So we picked a first restaurant on our way, that was Santa Maria Novella. Just because we had an amazing dinner experience at Trattoria Dall"oste day before, where we fell in love with a Florentine steak, we wanted to have another one. We ordered a Florentine steak, simple salad and two glasses of beer. We asked for the smallest steak that was available ; however, we got one of the biggest. So, we decided to take with us whatever possibly will be left. Nobody asked us how we would like the steak to be done. We got the steak not just completely raw, was it even cold inside. In other words, it was definitely undercooked. What's more, it was just not tasty and really fatty. Because, they cut it into pieces, the steak already lost tender texture. When we told them, we do not like it, they tried to cook it and steak became tough, chewy and tasteless. At the end, we return the steak. We even did not eat a quarter of it. However, they brought us a full bill to pay , that was 147 euro. We did not want to pay full amount. To pay 147 euro for a small bowl of salad an 2 glasses of beer is not reasonable. We asked to talk to a manager. It was the worst experience in our life ever! The Manager, used course language, threatened to call for a Police. We were not denying to pay. We just wanted to have a reasonable price for a such horrible food. The worst part of it was when a Manager starting guessing our nationality and use F***ck word, and proudly informing us he is from Albania. This review is mostly to remind you, Manager, that you are running a business for customers. You Are here for customers, not customers are for you. Customer is always right, Customer-first attitude supposed to be as a gold rule. What's more, there is no good or bad Nation, there are good or bad people. You are lucky, you are not running your business in Canada. After offending National feeling, your business will be shut down right away.

Spectacular experience! The service was exceptional. The food was beautifully plated and tasted amazing. I had the bruschetta and scottona with a glass of Bolgheri. After my meal I had an espresso and they brought me a limocello. Make a reservation and go- it was perfecto!

I wish I had enjoyed my food at this restaurant. The service vas very good and the atmosphere is really nice. But my food was a big disappointment. I ordered lasagna and it was pretty bad. Just many layers of pasta with very little sauce and it was very dry. The top and the bottom were hard solid, it feels like it was cooked in the oven for a very long time and heated up in a microwave. Not what I expected in an Italian restaurant.

Very refined restaurant on a busy street near the train station that tends to have more informal places. Service prompt and attentive. Surroundings subdued and attractive. The big thing here is beef. If you just want vegetables maybe this is not the right place for you. But their beef is outstanding. I don't know what the Tuscans feed their cows but whatever it is, it's right!

I’ve never experienced such blatant racism. The waitress was cold with us from the get-go, it was obvious she did not want us to dine at the restaurant. In all honesty, we didn’t even want to eat there - we were in line to eat at osteria pastella, however we were tight in time because of train schedules (due to the long queue outside the restaurant). Once seated, the waitress took her time to serve us and continued to serve new diners before approaching us. After taking our order, she pulled faces at our choice of drinks and food. Once it was time to pay the bill, our card declined as we had gone over our daily allowance - however this wasn’t an issue as we had both alternative cards and cash to pay, however, before we even had the chance to pull out a second card - she stated “clearly you don’t have enough money to pay the bill”. I honestly thought I misheard her at first - but she went on to elaborate that her statement was the only possible reason as the card machine ‘stated’ it wasn’t down to the wrong pin. Such disgusting service, and to top it off - the food was average at best.

The intrinsic motivation of wanting to eat a "Fiorentina" steak meets with the aesthetically pleasing nature of the dish itself. Combined with a great Chianti wine, eating at this restaurant really sold the Florence experience to me. When it comes to the service, their staff is very friendly and accommodating. In addition to this, there's practically no waiting time for their great dishes. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant as testified by my 5-star review. Memorable dinner.

I ordered a steak, but it was cold and it didn’t have much taste. I used salt and balsamic vinegar but it still needed something. It was also hard so I had to swallow it. I think it’s over priced.

We were convinced to share the bistecca alla fiorentina by the waiter. The steak ended up costing us $112usd vs the $40usd meal we were going to order. Total ripoff. Avoid this place if you are a tourist or you will end up with a similar bill.

Don’t order the florentine steak, it’s a ripoff, everything else including service was good. They tell you it’s 2 kgs of Chianina and it’s a regular not even choice meat probably 2 lbs not 2 kgs(2.4)

Great hospitality! Definitely a place to visit when in Florence. Beautiful atmosphere and an Italian vibe. Wine is so fresh and crisp and the service is wonderful! Coming back every time i come to Florence.

Food quality was really bad given that it’s suppose to a high end restaurant. We had their speciality, the Fiorentina steak, which turned out dry and tasteless, even after adding a dash of salt. The other dish was pasta, the pasta clumped together and was such a dry dish, it was difficult to get through the meal. Service was extremely slow and took a long time for everything. The previous reviews were right, they treat tourists poorly compared to the locals.
