This is my 5th time in Italy and this could be best pizza I ate in Italy. (Mezzaluna) ambiance is very friendly. Linguine al Granchio (pasta with crabs) strongly recommended as well. Service people are very friendly. Wines were over priced a bit but overall very very good.

Came in the restaurant because we were hungry and it was raining. We were welcomed by a friendly, English speaking staff. The place is nice and cozy, and the vibe was relaxed. We started with some sparkling white wine. I don't usually drink wine but this was light and not sweet so we could also enjoy the meal. We started with fried dough served with prosciutto and cream cheese. It sounded strange and interesting so we tried it. The dough looks like simple balls of dough that are deep-fried and salted. The waiter suggested that we open the balls of dough, spread some cream cheese and place a slice of prosciutto to make ourselves a small sandwich. And he was right!!! Simple ingredients but the combination was WOW!! Next we had a tortellini with mortadela. Three tortellini stuffed with mortadela meat, on top of white sauce made from burrata cheese. The flavors were light but all working together for a perfect bite. A perfect dish!! We also had to a have a pizza (it's Italy). We ordered the "mezzaluna". It is different than a classic pizza. The dough is baked like any pizza but without anything on it. When it comes out of the oven and still hot, they put burrata cheese, uncooked ham, cherry tomatoes, and rocket. They fold it over itself, to a shape of half a moon, hence the name of the dish, and let the heat from the dough work its magic on the ingredients. And it does!! The cheese melts and gives this dish a creamy element which is necessary, and the pizza dough is sublime!!! They know what they are doing. We also ordered two desserts. A classic "zuppa inglesa" and 'tiramisu con chianti". The zuppa inglesa was very chocolatey from very good quality of chocolate, and was not as heavy as I thought it would be. The tiramisu was made with different cookies than the classic lady fingers, so it had more crunch, and it could stand all the alcohol that was in the dish. Very boozy but excellent dish!! We also got two amazing espressos with the desserts and the manager offered me a shot of limoncello which was great. Lemony and not too sweet. We paid 62€ which I think it an excellent value for money. I definitely recommend and if I have the time, I will be back!!

What could be better on a late summers evening than to enjoy Pizza and wine outside in beautiful garden. Great Pizza, friendly service, and desserts that made both my wife and I very happy.

Could have been a five-star night but there was a large group in the restaurant so the service suffered. I did not get what I ordered. The seared tuna was good. And the risotto was delicious once it arrived. It gave us more time to chat and enjoy the garden with mood lights.

One of the best places to eat in Firenze. We came in 1990 during the World Cup and are glad to be back. Service is exceptional.

So cozy restaurant with nice garden. We thought that we order pizza but it was something between pizza and calzone. But it was delicious.

would’ve loved to provide a positive review but I can’t find myself having any nice words to say about a single aspect of our meal. Ordered a fillet steak, cooked medium, received something that was rare at best. If you’re going to cook a bad steak at least season it or provide a sauce? Who doesn’t season their steak?!? The roasted potatoes were also subpar and I don’t even know how it’s possible to make those taste bad. Sorry guys, it was really poor

Recommended by the concierge at Hotel Villa Royal, we had a lovely meal in their enclosed patio. The panzanella, pici, and seared tuna were all fresh, light and flavorful. The staff were lovely. Will return.

Hands down love this place! Went there for a friend's birthday and the food was so tasty 😍 staff were really friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was 10/10. Checked all the boxes and the icing on the cake was how tasty the food was 🤭

I had the best meal of my life in this restaurant no joke. Went by feeling and what a beautiful place with people extremely kind, my girlfriend and I were treated like queens ! The quality of the food, the diversity of the plate is pleasant because not Italian basic and original mix of flavors and product that made this experience like no other. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that want to please the mouth and the eyes because yes also the presentation of the plate are a piece of art ! Thank you to the staff and the chef for this diner that we will never forget

Very nice location. But the food is average. Big nice garden, but not enough people to handle it. Don't take the Bistecca Florentina, it's charged per hg, but comes with a heavy bone. Also a bit dry.

Randomly passed this place with the promising sign of a "secret garden" - and we were not disappointed! A truly charming backyard awaits you, alongside with very delicious wine, pasta and pizza. The tonno & olive pizza would be my personal recommendation. Also, go there in the evening - with the lights and the garden plants around it feels really magical!

Had dinner there a few days ago, the food was excellent and so were the very professional waiters. Matteo and Zaccaria made sure that we experienced our dinner at the most, recommended us a delicious wine and offered us a homemade limoncello at the end of our dinner. The two of them showed us what real italian hospitality means and they are really at top. I really recommend this place for a nice dinner, the location is really good and so is the food of course.

Amazing place! The staff was really friendly and welcoming, they treated us just like family! Angel was our waiter and he did an amazing job! He really won our hearts! The food was also amazing! Delicious and fresh everytime. We stayed in Florence for 3 nights and we chose to come here for dinner every time. Totally recommend!

The pizza is so delicious! Had one with a beer on a hot afternoon and recharged my batteries instantly! The service is fast and everyone here seems so friendly and nice!

This place has a friendly atmosphere with a bunch of tasty foods. The pizza guys are ready to show off their artworks whenever you give them the green light. The music is festive which makes you want to try out new things.

A good pizzeria, tradicional of Firenze. I passed a couple time here apreciating a good pizze. I could give more stars but it was the first impression of this place. Maybe it ca diserve a second visite and taste another types of the menu. But it is a good choice near the center.

This is a great restaurant if you want to try nice traditional pizzas and pastas. Also a good selection of (local) wines. The service is impeccable. Great atmosphere.

We had the ravioli with zucchini and saffron sauce, the calzone classico, the tiramissu chianti, the panacotta with red fruits and a glass of red chianti. It was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended. Make sure you get there during lunch and dinner times, they don't serve food outside of these times.

my friend and i were looking for a nice place to eat when we stumbled upon osteria il giardino di barbano and saw the sign for their outdoor dining area. we didn’t have a booking but the amazing staff managed to find us a table in the garden in a matter of 5 minutes. the garden blew us away it was beautiful and the food was even better. the staff was super friendly and funny; most notably our waiter, zac. he had to manage some difficult customers near us and did so with such class. he also is also sort of a superhero, a lady tripped up the stairs in front of me and he caught her mid fall. 10/10 place, 10/10 service and 10/10 food, would visit again.
