Great food and excellent, elegant service for a rather humble price. We got beer, water, fries, two desserts, pizza and pasta for exactly 40€. The spaghetti here is famously delicious but if you don’t like Parmesan cheese speak up when you order, because it comes smothered. The pizza was great; we could have had another. We sat outside in a very nice covered and heated area, but inside you can have a great view of the kitchen and also the pizza guy!

100000000/10 rating. During my five-day stay in Florence, this restaurant easily won me over, and has become my favourite place to eat ever. We came here at least once every single day, with the exception of the Monday (closed). My favourite became the Spaghettini dei Briganti, with an honourable mention to the Spaghetti alla carbonara. The Briganti dish was perfectly seasoned, and the diced tomatoes were somehow perfectly cooked to the right flavour and texture. The carbonara was probably the best that I have tried. The desserts were great. The tiramisu was my absolute favourite with coffee ordered on the side. I also tried the gelato with fresh strawberries, and the Zuccato. I believe you cannot go wrong with whatever you choose to order. In addition to the amazing food, the service was phenomenal from the whole team. You could also tell that they have mastered their craft, as the food would come out effortlessly fast. Great for all the times we came on a hangry stomach. Pro-tip: make a reservation, this place is very popular with the locals who know what’s good. I am looking forward to coming back here on my next visit to Florence.

Fantastic!!! Pastas were amazing, pizza was fantastic and the veal chop was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Service was wonderful. Open kitchen so you could watch them prepare the dishes and toss the pizza dough. Heading back through Florence and we will eat here again - it’s a must!!

Briganti is a family-owned establishment that is well loved by the locals. The hospitable environment and delicious food have kept me coming back year after year. The spaghettini Al pomodoro fresco (“spaghettini briganti”) can’t be missed - truly the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. I also recommend the fried artichokes and any of their pizzas. The portions are very generous and well priced. Insider tip: you can order a half portion of any of the pastas in case you want to save room for a pizza or a secondo! You should considering making a reservation since it gets pretty packed most nights.

It might be best to make a reservation, but we dined here twice and only had a short wait both times. Very friendly service and excellent food. The pasta with fresh tomatoes was particularly delicious, and the tiramisu was better than any I'd had before.

This restaurant is fantastic. We were lucky enough to stay in this area where there were no tourists so we hung out with the locals. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic.

Wow! This place was amazing. Pastas were fresh, light and delicious (they come in 1/2 portions). Also ordered the Florentine steak 4" (10 cm) thick with the house red wine, the room stopped as the steak arrived! Don't forget the fresh house made pecorino cheese!

Great gem. We loved the food! The service was done by a waiter who was literally running everywhere and had barely any time for anything since he was looking after so many guests but he was good and courteous. He did mistake one of our order though but we were fine with keeping it how it was. We had their famous pasta al pomodoro and pizza with sausage and onion. It was so goooood. The crème caramel was a bit dry to my taste but the tiramisu was excellent. Do make the trip there if you have the chance!

I spent 12 weeks living in Florence. More broadly, I’ve spent 1,095 weeks on this Earth (21 years). In that time, I’ve come across my fair share of traditional Italian restaurants. Each claims some long, confusing interwoven history of family and food. But Fratelli Briganti, rich with its own backstory (which I recommend you ask about), is BY FAR the best Italian restaurant I have ever experienced. The food is definitionally exceptional. The food’s an emotional experience. There are few restaurants in the world worth traveling long distances for, Fratelli Briganti is undoubtedly one of them.

Bistecca alla Fiorentina. I mean, wow. This place knows how to serve up a night out. Bottle of Limoncello was appreciated too!

The food is delicious, and the atmosphere reminds those of traditional Italian restaurants. The place is most frequented by Italians. Although we had a good time there, as a foreigner, I felt the staff were a bit impatient. However, it's a great place.

If you're looking for a traditional restaurant where you can eat good quality Italian food for a fair price, this is the place to be. We didn't have a reservation but they found a table for us. I recommend you make a reservation to be sure.

The pasta was magnificent. Authentic hand made. The atmostphere was cosy, the waiters- professional. A bit crowded, but fun place:)

As authentic as it gets and is off the beaten path. I was surrounded by locals. All very nice to me. One gave his secret to spaghetti carbonara. Do not be in a hurry enjoy your time and experience.

This is a great local spot with the best food we had in Florence! The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!

Very nice place mostly for the locals that makes the experience a little more authentic. Food carries nice tastes only the pasta felt like a standard dried pasta from the shop cooked perfect. Home made pasta could make the experience more perfect. Overall a solid place and a good night out

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations. We ordered one to share, as we wanted a bite mid morning, and it tasted really good. The meat quality is great, and the stracciatella was super creamy. The pistachio cream was amazing an...
