This hotel was in an excellent area, very centralized, walking distance to anywhere in Florence. Nearby shops were extremely tempting, I wanted to shop in all of them. Service in the hotel was great too, reception and rooftop terrace employees were very pleasant. Hotel on the other hand could use a little TLC. Rooms and bathrooms were a bit small. Bathroom was not big enough for two people. Hallway carpets could use a good shampoo. Breakfast in the rooftop was great! Dinner not so great! Food appeared and tasted like old reheated food.

PROS: View from our window was great. Location was perfect, easy to find and great for getting anywhere in town. Security was great, felt safe. Rooms were nice. CONS: Our bed had a huge dip on one side, making sleep a bit difficult and the tub was super tight even by Italian standards. The staff was not super warm nor extra helpful. Breakfast was nice and had a variety but the machines for caffes and juice was constantly needing attention which usually didn't fix it. Biggest con for us was the terrace is not accessible all the time, only during breakfast and cocktails, which closes at 10.30😔. I thought we had free access and planned to enjoy my own bottle up there, but unfortunately, no.

We booked a 2 room suite that had a wall AC unit in each room of the suite. One fluctuated between 22 and 23 and the other, which was the main bed room with 2 beds, between 24-25. That’s way to hot. We complained and asked to get it fixed and someone came up and looked and basically said nothings wrong. Then I asked for 2 days different people at the front desk and was told different reasons why. One was for economical Reasons. Another told us they will we send someone again, which no one came and another said nothings wrong with it that’s normal temp. They did give us a portable fan and actually asked if that was helping us. We didn’t pay for a room with a fan. We paid for a properly working AC. We were so frustrated because for it to be 25 c at night is not what we paid for. Also we had friends in another room and their temp was much cooler and on a central system. Either way we felt for what we paid for the room you ripped us off. We were on vacation and should feel comfortable in the room and not have to feel as if your employees just don’t care or don’t know or just lie. We were on vacation and should t have to continually ask to get something fixed. We will not be coming back to any of your locations and will ensure others know how we were treated .

Stay period weekend of November 12-14, 2021 Staff are friendly. The breakfast is more than adequate. The room is quite clean and functional. TV channels can be more extensive. Soundproofing in the room could be better, on weekends young people can scream in the street until 3 am. The location is central to all the sights, everything within walking distance. The view from the breakfast restaurant is amazing. You will not be disappointed with this hotel. The hotel is just across from Ponte Vecchio.

The location of this hotel is wonderful but even with this great location it is not a 4 star. Everything about this hotel is tired. Tired rooms, dirty bathrooms, gross hallways…all in desperate need of a renovation. Cheap paper cups and no tissues in the bathroom! Also such a shame to see the wasted opportunity that is the roof top lounge/restaurant. It has a beautiful view that could also be enjoyed in the evening if the lights were slightly dimmed and the blown out speaker replaced and playing some chill beats.

We were able to rent the suite with our own personal terrace. We were so grateful for how beautiful this room was. It was spacious, yet cozy. It had two bathrooms which was amazing for two females trying to get ready! I can't emphasize enough how amazing this terrace was. It overlooked the river. You could see the Ponte Vecchio bridge, Cathedral, and even the lights of houses on the hills in the distance. It was so surreal.

Location is amazing, just near by the old bridge. Good breakfast, everything very clean. The staff is wonderful always helping. The best part I could bring my dog and they treated her like a princess. I will always be coming back.

If you want location, this one is central. If you want a nice hotel, this is not exactly it. I can tell they do clean well, so there is that going for them. Nothing about it is 4 or even 3 stars though. The shower is a safety hazard, as getting in and out of the tub is difficult for both short and tall alike. The beds are old and mattresses are so broken down that there are huge dips in them, and they are so uncomfortable as a result. Most of the hotel is dated and needs upgrading badly. Overall I would imagine there are better options in Florence to choose from.

Perfect location. Terrible breakfast don't bother. Hotel in dire need of renovation and deep cleaning. Carpets must be changed. Walls need painting. Very tiny rooms. No amenities so bring your own. Only plus was it's central location.

This was a bit of a random choice for me, but I'm very glad I stayed here. Very nice rooms in a historic building, fabulous location metres from the Ponte Vecchio, friendly and helpful staff. Spectacular view from the breakfast room/bar. I had a minor problem with my bath plug, but they fixed it immediately. I wish, for environmental reasons, they hadn't changed my towels every day (I can use the same towels for three days...), but I imagine some guests would consider that a good thing. The price I paid (off season) was very reasonable for what I got.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were so nice, friendly and welcoming. The room was extremely clean, well sized and organized. The room had a beautiful Juliette balcony overseeing the beginning (or end depending on your perspective) of ponte Vecchio. The items in the mini fridge were decently priced for a hotel in a tourist area. The hotel location is amazing. The air conditioner worked really well which is great in this hot weather of August. The breakfast is amazing. A wide variety of options and an incredible view of the beautiful Firenze. The staff at the breakfast area are ao friendly and helpful. The only downside is that because my room faced the street, it can get loud at times because of the traffic of tourists. Nothing they can do about. I will be returning to Florence too and that will be my first choice of stay

Service was very good with the reception desk, especially with understanding our accidental late check out time (our tour ran over time and we were late for check out). The house cleaning service was excellent, Rooms were tidy, and location was quiet. The breakfast service crew was very attentive and worked hard during breakfast, and it did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend any new travelers to stay here!

We were in town to visit our son who is studying abroad for a semester in Florence. The location of the hotel was perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. The hotel was clean and felt very safe. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The morning breakfast on the top floor was excellent and had great views of the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Overall a great place to stay.

Staff were attentive, considerate and accommodating. Front desk always happy to help, and were encouraging and complimentary of my efforts to converse in Italian. Breakfast/Bar staff always on hand, and going the extra mile to ensure guest comfort. The location is perfect, and the suite in 701 was well laid out and relaxing - most of the time. Unfortunately, we had a couple of disturbed nights with noise from the restaurant and terrace below continuing well beyond the 10:30pm closing time (still banging and shouting after 00:00). Not sure if this was guests or staff. It was especially loud coming up from the stairwell right outside our door. I had to go out and buy earplugs from the pharmacy to ensure I got some sleep. On our final night we tried to use the air conditioning for the first time but found it would not cool at all. I have since found that it might not have been switched on centrally at this time of year. I also frequently found an ant or two wandering across the floors in the room, particularly in the bathroom. I suspect this is because of being above the restaurant, as I did see several on the fruit juice machine in the restaurant one morning. Overall, despite the small problems mentioned, it was a very enjoyable stay. The staff are an absolute delight and I would return.

We traveled with our dog during a road trip and this place was excellent. The staff in the restaurant during breakfast sat us on the rooftop balcony and made our stay, with pup, very comfortable. We drove into Florence and there was a garage conveniently located 1 block away. We were able to go on dog walks in the early morning (7 to 8 am) and enjoy the sights without overwhelming crowds. If you want to stay in the center with all necessary conveniences, I’d recommend this place.

I would highly recommend the hotel Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio and will certainly stay there again in my next visit to Florence. The location was outstanding. Only a few minutes walking distance to anywhere. The hotel itself was extremely clean, friendly staff, rooms comfortable, excellent WiFi, and great value. A friend recommended the property and I’m so grateful he did. I will definitely be back!!!!

I had to cancel my reservation because of covid 3 days before coming. I had taken the option but they refuse to reschedule whereas I paid more to have the right to do this. Please escape from this dishonest hotel. ANSWER: I paid 22 euros extra fees to have the possibility to change the dates. DON'T COME HERE. DIS-HONEST !

We loved our four night stay here. The location is perfect, at the Ponte Vecchio and we were able to pop in and drop off things / refresh for ten minutes very easily as it was on the doorstep of everything Florence offered for us. The staff were very lovely and friendly, without exception. We very much enjoyed breakfast daily (nice selection and good coffee) overlooking the rooftops of Florence. Liked little touches like each room showing its view on the door as you walked in.

Everything was wonderful! The concierge was so nice and helpful! It’s very walkable to everything from this hotel. We loved the bed and the beautiful view of Florence from our hotel. The only small critique was the shower was small for an adult male. Everything else was perfection and I highly recommend staying here and enjoying everything that Florence has to offer.

Standout features are its prime location and the decent breakfast they offer. However, I found the rest of the experience to be somewhat underwhelming considering the high ratings. The facilities are functional and clean, but they appear to lack proper maintenance. Furthermore, the hospitality of the staff can be hit or miss, with some being exceptionally friendly and helpful, while others come across as rather rude. In the end, I wouldn't choose to return to this hotel, as I believe that a trip to Florence should not be compromised by these shortcomings.

Wonderful hotel, friendly professional staff, great breakfasts, excellent location! An added plus, I caught a cold and the doctor came to the hotel for an appointment ……something that would never happen in Toronto Canada! Would definitely stay here again

I found this B&B hotel online and was drawn in by the lovely rooftop eating area with lovely view with breakfast included which I always like as a convenient and comforting amenity. Rooms were very clean and staff all very nice and helpful. Situated in a very nice location, it made for easy roaming on our own as well as getting to tours simple. I would definitely recommend and for sure stay again.

Great room, very comfortable and amazing views over Florence in the restaurant. Breakfast was great with a good variety of food on the buffet. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Location of hotel was perfect to access the centre of Florence.

Very well located, near the main touristic points. Friendly staff, help you with any questions that you have. The room was clean, very comfortable bed. The breakfast offers everything that you will wants from classic scramble eggs, bacon through yogurt, patisserie…. The hotel has a nice terrace to enjoy it but unfortunately there was a bad weather for it. Highly recommended if you plans to go to Florence

Perfect location. Right beside the Ponte Vecchio, roll out onto a mainly pedestrian thoroughfare. The staff were exceptional and attended to all our needs. They are renovating this year as agreed the rooms could use a refresh. We stayed an extra number of nights to soak in the beauty of this city and the hotel was a fantastic place to begin. The food at the restaurant on the top floor was delicious. Morning breakfast also included was also a hit, simplifying and setting up the day on a good foot. Would totally recommend. Thanks for an unforgettable vacation.

Great location to stay in. The rooms were typical Euro style (smaller than American ones) but plenty of space for two people. Large bed too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I come back to Florence!

We spent our New Year's holiday here for a week and enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel, daily breakfast, friendly staff, and central location. You can enjoy your breakfast or dinner with a sunrise or sunset on the hotel's terrace. The rooms have everything you need and is a good place to rest after exploring the city. Due to the central location it can be a bit noisy but this is expected whether you're in Paris, New York or Florence and not to mention we were here during the New Year holiday. Great holiday stay in Firenze at Hotel Pitti Palace.

The hotel was fantastic. Great location, helpful staff, and wonderful room. We loved being able to open up the numerous windows to enjoy the fresh air. The street is a bit noisy down below with the windows open, but the air conditioning worked well, so it was our choice whether we wanted to hear the sounds of Florence or not. Overall a great stay and highly recommended.

The Hotel Pitti Palace was amazing!! The room was the perfect size, everything was clean and the ac worked great. The location was beautiful and central to everything, the walking was not bad at all. So many shops and restaurants around. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was amazing!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Florence for their first time.

The staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and well thought out. We had a suite and was pleased that there were 2 separate bedrooms. Breakfast was perfect. Everything you would need to start your day off right. We literally walked out the front door and everything you would need is right there. I would come back again.

It would be hard to think of a better location in Florence than a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel staff were excellent, the breakfasts tasty and plentiful, the WiFi worked - we were in town to film at one of the world's finest museums - and many wonderful local restaurants were close by. If business or leisure bring us back to Firenze, we could not think of a better place to stay. Thanks and compliments to all!

Fantastic location, walked easily to everything (including a self serve laundry around the block). Breakfast was delicious with hot, cold, and pastry options. The shower water pressure was too low for my preference in my suite and there was a consistent odd smell when entering the hotel lobby. But inside the room was clean and good.

The hotel was a lovely surprise because of its wonderful location, welcoming staff, and comfortable room. I will 100% be staying here again in the future. The only issue I had was with the bathroom shower. The shower was very tall and the shower head would not stay fixed in place when I would take a shower. Overall though, this place is amazing.

My wife and I had a wondeful stay here during our couple days in Florence. The location couldn't be better, and the view of the city from the rooftop bar/restaurant was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only had a basic room, but it was clean and just what we needed.

  • 5/5 Mark N. 1 year ago on Google
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and the staff was attentive. The sink the bathroom stop draining one morning and we let the staff know as we left for the day and the issue was resolved by the time we returned that evening. This hotel was feet off of the Ponte Vecchio bridge and about a 15 minute walk from all attractions and restaurants we wanted to try!

I enjoyed my one night stay in this hotel. The room was relatively spacious, the view was agreeable, the bathroom was good sized and modern, the hotel staff were gracious and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the staff there were also efficient and pleasant. The location of the hotel is perfect for a visit to this city. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Florence.

The location of the hotel is optimal to visit the centre of the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The terrace where breakfast is served has a magnificent view. And breakfast itself features some of the best bacon one could ever get in Italy!

This hotel exceeded our expectations despite a few hiccups. It was our base while staying in Florence. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the premises were spotless. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the food was perfect for our needs, the breakfasts were more than satisfying and the setting was just amazing. We can't recommend this hotel enough.

Very good service and great location. When we arrived early before check in they were happy to take our bags and point us in the direction of a good restaurant for lunch and local sight seeing Room was clean, spacious and quite. Roof top for breakfast was an amazing way to start the day.
