What an incredible hotel. Everything was superb, the friendliest staff, cleanest facilities and immaculate decorations, everything you’d expect from a hotel in the centre of Florence. The location was perfect, the staff had brilliant knowledge of the local areas and were able to recommend restaurants and even book us a table as a busy steak house near by. The breakfast was incredible, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have more than 1 plate. The gym provides a quiet escape away from the busy streets and is clean. The rooms are although small, very well equipped for the modem day traveler. It’s surprises me that this hotel isn’t 5*. I certainly will be staying here again and I urge anyone looking for a hotel in Florence to stay here!

This hotel is a hidden gem. Just hundred meters from the Duomo, in very narrow street. The inside of the hotel is kind of a labyrinth, but it is fine. The service is fantastic, the breakfasts fabulous, the rooms like in a castle. definitely a place to stay again. Very highly recommended!!!

Hotel and service from Concierge was great - helped us make restaurant reservations and made good recommendations. Helpful when booking taxis. Breakfast was great. Location of the hotel was perfect and easy to walk around Florence by foot. Rooms were a little bit on the smaller side however, very clean and room serviced twice per day. Could not fault and would definitely return. Would highly recommend anyone travelling to Florence to stay here.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. The staff is extremely helpful and the rooms are nicely sized and very comfortable. It was nice and quiet during the night. Lots of close by restaurants and shopping. No parking to speak of so you'll probably walk a short block or two from where your transportation drops you off. Breakfast in the morning is good but it was the same every day for the 1 week we were there. I would definitely stay there again when visiting Florence.

This was one of the most romantic cities we visited on our tour and this hotel was the highlight of our trip. The service was so good it was a bit hard to believe. The people were very nice and attentive. The restaurant was very nice and after dinner we had a nice drink before retiring to the room. I hope to be able to get back here one day soon. It was amazing.

Just ok. This hotel came highly recommended but it was a let down. Worst of our entire trip. It’s not bad. It’s mediocre. Maybe it just relies too heavily on its location. But the location is a curse because the noise outside of the room kept us awake. The amenities (soaps, shampoo, bedding) was less than a standard holiday inn back in the states. For a 5 star hotel the bedding definitely needs an update. It was like staying at my mother in laws. Breakfast was just mid. By the third day I went somewhere else to look. Powdered eggs. Average meat selection. Terrible bacon (and I love my breakfast at other hotels in Italy). The rooms are tiny. No place to put anything. We had our entire contents of our luggage on the floor. We booked a larger room because I know I can be picky (at these prices I deserve to be) but it wasn’t available upon check in. Ridiculous. They thought they were being generous by only charging us for a standard room, but the rate they charged was higher than I could get on the hotels website. Felt a little ripped off. And I still think the room they ended up giving me was a level down from the one they said they were giving me. Service at the hotel is more fussy than high end. Borderline creepy. Trying not to let it ruin my vacation. I called ahead to my next hotel to confirm they had a nice room for me. Florence is beautiful and we had some great steaks. And the shopping was better than in Rome. Definitely will be back to Florence.

Great location for walking to sites, shopping and restaurants in Florence. Room was very comfortable with a large bathroom for a hotel in Italy. Did not eat here as we like to venture out to local small restaurants. Can't rate on "service" as we did not need any service. Staff was pleasant but not overly friendly.

Such a great hotel with the friendliest staff. We stayed for a couple nights and they were more than accommodating. We were unexpectedly early for our checkin and they were able to get us into our room within thirty minutes. Gave us complimentary white wine while we waited and another bottle in our room. The beds were harder than what I’m used to but still somewhat comfortable. The location was awesome and so close to everything. We just walked and pretty much explored any direction we went. Will definitely be staying here again when we return.

Beautiful location, very kind staff and our room was very comfortable. The location of the hotel in Florence was perfect to getting around easily. The concierge recommended some great ‘’non-tourist” experiences. Out Of The Box Florence was one of them and I would highly suggest you ask them about the tours they have that accommodate your interests! We will definitely be back to this hotel when we return. Thank you!

My partner and I just stayed at Hotel Brunelleschi for three nights after a friend recommended it! It's in a perfect location, close to all the must-see sights of Florence and great shopping options. The staff clearly are well-versed on five-star service, making sure our bags were brought up for us and that our room was perfectly arranged. Such a relief after a 19-hour travel day! The hotel team took great care of us and whenever we left the room for the day, we'd come back to a freshly made bed and the cleanest housekeeping service I've ever experienced. My only regret is that we didn't take advantage of their restaurants on-site and the complimentary tour of the property to learn more about its history. A huge thank you to the entire staff. If you're considering a trip to Florence, Hotel Brunelleschi is a fantastic choice.

What can I say, this is a fabulous hotel. The people working there are the most attentive I've seen in a long time. The service is impeccable. The only comment I would have is that it was difficult driving to the location. If you've seen downtown Florence, you know what I mean. It's like driving through a sidewalk full of people. But other than that I have no complaints.

The room was snug but well appointed with a large bathroom. Beyond that, the service was phenomenal with very personal attention and helpful suggestions. Their restaurant was superb. All this, plus the fact that the hotel is very centrally located within walking distance of everything a tourist would want to see. We would definitely stay here again. Also, don't forget to take a look at their small museum in their basement.

Overall, a nice experience with very friendly staff. Reasons I put 4 star: 1) getting the car to the front of the hotel was challenging 2) they took 45 minutes to take the car from garage, thus no parking in front kf the hotel. 3) rooms were really clean but slightly small.

Wow..Wow... WOW!!! This hotel was absolutely amazing! They're outdoor Bistro there two star Michelin restaurant in the tower everything amazing! The service was impeccable the room was adorable and they even have a gym on site if you're interested! They took care of every request that we had and went above and beyond for us! From the desk staff to the concierge to the Bellman to the room service everything top notch! If you're ever visiting Florence this is the place to stay! We did the two-star Michelin 9 course Chef dining experience what an experience! There are only six tables available in the restaurant all done by reservation and if you ever go to Florence I suggest you take the experience they have other options besides nine course but we wanted to see what the whole thing was!

It's with pleasure I write this review to one of the best hotels I've ever experienced. The perfect location, uniqueness (basement museum is incredible) and quality is amazing. However, its the people and the service which truly makes this one of the most friendly destinations to call Home while in Florence. For me, it started with emails to Stefano who insure our ambitious itinerary was perfect from the transfers, to our local/Tuscany tour guide, the wineries, cooking classes and the restaurants recommended. He took the time to learn about us and our preferences. Upon our arrival, we were greeted like family and Sergio and the front desk team made sure every day things were going as planned and we were enjoying ourselves. Our room was modest in size (its an expanded castle after all), yet the ability to open up the windows and lean out into the sounds of the street and church bells was incredible! Top notch in every way...thank you for making Four Days in Florence wonderful!

We recently stayed at Hotel Brunelleschi and had such a fabulous experience. The service is top-notch. My husband had been in contact with Sergio and Stefano prior to our arrival and had set up a couple dinners and excursions which all turned out to be amazing!! Everyone we encountered at the hotel was SO friendly and professional. We felt so taken care of. The hotel surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco in honor of our 35th Wedding Anniversary that we were celebrating. The location of the hotel is just perfect and the hotel is beautiful and clean. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful and it was nice to be able to eat before we left sightseeing for the day. I have nothing but positive things to say and we will definitely plan on staying at the Hotel Brunelleschi the next time we are back in Florence. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of the staff for making our stay so memorable.

The location was absolutely perfect, we were never more than 20mins walk away from all the main attractions of the city. Hotel is beautiful although our room was very small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as was the service.

Center of the city, but underwhelming entrance in an alley. Small rooms. No view. Weird glass stairs. Not accessible (stairs). Tasteless breakfast. Surcharge for omlettes when you want something editable. Would not return.

This hotel offers the experience of a lifetime. The tower room suite gives you the most incredible view of the Duomo in Florence. The room itself is stunning. 20 foot high walls with floor to ceiling windows. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating.

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Brunelleschi. I had the pleasure of spending 5 nights with them in Nov. Everything was exceptional. The concierge staff is fantastic. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I was never not greeted with a smile & Buongiorno Signora Sullivan. There was not a single employee that wasn't exceptionally friendly & helpful. My room was always very clean. All the rooms are a spacious & well appointed. The location is outstanding. You couldn't ask for a more centrally located hotel in Florence. I wouldn't hesitate to book all my clients here & cannot wait to return again soon.

Our room was tiny and awkwardly shaped. When you come in through the door, we had to take a few steps down to the area where the bed was. It's a bit of a hazard and we had to make sure we didn't slip and fall each time we had to go get our stuff from the clothes storage area and bathroom. Our windows didn't look out onto anything particularly interesting. The location is excellent and we ate at their 2 michelin restaurant which was enjoyable. Overall, its not a bad stay if you can get a better room. A quaint hotel in heart of Florence with lots of history.

What a lovely hotel in the heart of Florence. We stayed for 3 nights and upon leaving immediately wished we had stayed there longer. The hotel is in great walking distance to just about everything in Florence and while it’s close to everything we didn’t have any issues with noise from the streets. The hotel itself is well updated (usb outlets etc) and very clean, it has a historic tower attached to it as well for some wonderful charm. Everyone who works there was very friendly and helpful. I’ve seen some reviews about the rooms being small- the one we had was what I would consider a decent size (if not larger) for a room in Europe. Out of all 3 hotels we’ve stayed at during our trip to Italy, this one was by far our favorite. We will be back.

We just spent 3 nights at the Brunelleschi Hotel in Florence and the rooms was very spacious with great bathroom. Not crazy about the toiletries. The Hotel is in the Best location to stay in Florence you are walking distance from most attractions. Their breakfast was nothing to brag about but they do have a lady that makes you whatever fresh green juice you want. Now I’ve saved the best for last…..Sergio the concierge. Literally he is one of the best one we have ever had. Ask for him as soon you check in for the best restaurants reservation, and private guide tours

Perfectly located right in the heart of Florence. Easy walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Beautiful hotel with top notch service. As soon as our cab pulled up we were instantly catered too. Someone swiftly took our bags, the hotel manager welcomed us with a warm smile, checked us in quickly, even offered a room upgrade, and showed us around the hotel and where to find everything. Our room was cozy and we were surprised with a bottle of Prosecco and a welcome note congratulating us on our honeymoon. Breakfast was very delicious with the options of an assortment of pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages, smoothies, cereal, and fresh fruit. The coffee here was the best we had in all of Italy. Again, the front desk general manager went above and beyond when he couldn’t secure a restaurant reservation at their hotel, he suggested and reserved a spot for us at a phenomenal luxe restaurant called Locale Firenze. This was our favorite place to stay out of our entire trip in Italy. I highly recommend and don’t be afraid to splurge on one of their upgraded rooms!

This is a spectacular hotel. The museum that they have is a wonder. The staff was responsive and assistive without hovering. Any issues were dealt with immediately. The breakfast buffet was always spot on. We had an absolutely spectacular stay.

Impressive, very nicely renovated, classy hotel. Very complex interior (probably 4 different buildings into one hotel). Excellent location. 2 Michelin stars kitchen. Full of mirrors and beautiful flowers

This was an exceptional hotel in every way including service, bedding, location, food and atmosphere. You will be in the center of Florence with everything at your doorstep. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. From the moment they took over our car to park it, quickly placed our bags in our room and greeted us by family name when they saw us coming and going...everything was 5 star. The doorman/greeter was especially friendly and welcoming. Due to the Easter Day morning parade, I had a bit of a time getting to the hotel due to crowds, horse carriages one-way streets. When we finally arrived, he became our 'friend' away from home chatting with us. When it was time to leave, he escorted our car out by following us and stopping traffic and pedestrians so that we could move forward. It was so sweet to see this lovely older gentleman in his top hat and full regalia, escorting us down the streets in our car as though we were royalty. I highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Brunelleschi….location is perfect for walking to all the best areas in Florence…..Staff very efficient and friendly and the rooms are generous. Thanks for making our stay special

Hotel room is dated and dusty, motel quality bathroom. Breakfast service was terrible and staff was rude. 2 star because we got complimentary room upgrade but tbh I’d rather have other smaller luxury hotel room.

Lovely hotel in the very center of Florence. If you want to eat at the Santa Elisabetta restaurant, better make a reservation as early as possible. If you come by car, make sure to read the instructions on the homepage carefully and check out the way on Google maps and street view. Some of the street names are wrong.

This hotel is amazing and Stefano, I cannot thank him enough for how well he looked after us! He is so professional, dedicated with his customers and also a very kind human being. Thank you again for everything. And will look forward to stay in this prestigious hotel again.

Update to my last post: Hotel management upgraded our room to their best suite which is greatly appreciated. I have to say that the staff are pretty amazing in accommodating to our every need. They printed our covid test results and helped us to change our dinner reservation. Also to add, there are only news English channels available. To the management and staff, thank you for caring and doing your best to ensure your guests are happy and enjoying their stay!

Great location, excellent service, awesome value for the price. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. Even though it's officially classed as a 4 star hotel, they are operating at 5 star level. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit Florence. Just don't buy Gelato from the shop across the street, it's a tourist trap with lowest review possible.

  • 5/5 Kinge M. 2 years ago on Google
Had an amazing experience in this hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Location was amazing. All major sights were walking distance. The breakfast was 5 stars and so was the cleanliness. The whole ambiance of the hotel gives a calm and romantic feeling. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit Florence.
