Absolutely great and will come back! The room was very cozy and sparkling clean, way exceeding what I expected - I booked the place for the vibe of the room and the location, but it turned out that the cleanliness, comfort and service were exceptional. The bed was very comfy and so was the single armchair - gave me a good rest after a long day of walking. The location was exceptional, right next to the Uffizi gallery and close to everything. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Love it and will definitely come back next time when I'm in Florence!

We loved this hotel for many reasons. The location was wonderful, close to everything; we loved our room-a two level contemporary suite that exemplified everything chic about Italian design and a breakfast that made us feel like old-world travelers from the 19th century. But, one thing stood out beyond the physical attributes of this hotel and that was Sylvia at the front desk. We arrived at the hotel and almost immediately I realized that I had lost my passport. Keep in mind that I am jet lagged, drowsy and to say the least emotional. Sylvia was not behind the desk but in a separate room, but heard the situation and came out immediately to help. She called the car rental company that we used as well as every taxi company that we had used that day. She gave me directions to the US Consulate and told me to show up first thing in the morning. She then sent me to the hotel bar for a complimentary negroni to settle my nerves. :) I had a new passport the next day, but the point was that I was able to relax and somewhat enjoy the next 24 hours thanks to Sylvia, she made me realize that everything possible had been done and all that I could do was wait. We said our goodbyes to her a few days later which brought a tear to my eye. This is what travel to foreign land is all about, the people.

We had a brilliant stay at the Orafi. Each corner was a delight to discover. Our room was elegantly appointed and my friend and I slept soundly each night. The breakfast room was amazing. What an experience to start the day with delicious food, a view of the Arno, and surrounded by a beautifully painted ceiling. The staff here were professional and efficient, yet warm and welcoming. Housekeeping was timely and our room was always serviced well. The bar staff did a fantastic job looking after us every night. We enjoyed trying the various recommendations the bartender offered. Donā€™t miss this treat! The views and the elegant setting at the bar is a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. After 4 memorable nights, we were both sad to leave. Giulio at the front desk was kind to console us with ideas of what we should do the next time we return. Fingers crossed, weā€™ll be back.

Amazing hotel with great history and has a room with a view, definitely worth it for the balcony and view. Amazing service, they helped us immensely when our flight was cancelled. Great breakfast, great bar and cocktails. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay and our room with a view...

Other rooms may vary (we saw some that seemed renovated), but our lofted king-size room (no view) was creaky, a bit smelly (of mold? ancient skin leavings over decades? not clear), and worn out. The complementary breakfast was excellent-- the best of all 3 hotels we visited in Italy, with a wide selection of items. The location is also excellent, right next to the Uffizi gallery, but the area can be crowded and unpleasant at busy times.

The location is LOUD. On some nights you just have regular city sounds: shouting, screaming, the usual. But on at least Fridays the live music next door makes it like you're trying to put your kids to bed in the middle of an Irish pub with a live band playing. And it won't get any softer until MIDNIGHT. The windows let most of the sound through. I would not stay here with kids or if you like to go to bed early. Other than that the hotel is nice. It's very clean and in good shape. Our room must have been 5 meters tall. The breakfast is quite good with a nice selection of foods. The staff is really courteous and attentive. And of course all the museums and sights are right outside the door.

My favorite hotel was always the beloved Waldorf Astoria with its massive white comforters and benchmark hospitality, but I do believe itā€™s been displaced by this gem of a hotel, the Hotel degli Orafi. This is one of the classiest hotels Iā€™ve ever stayed in, with impeccable 5-star service, welcoming staff (they even surprised me with an unexpected birthday present in the room), well-appointed rooms, and stunning views over the Arno. I feel so taken care of :)

The hotel is located right next to the uffizi and was within walking distance of all major attractions in Florence. The staff was courteous and was able to accommodate me even though I checked in and checked out very early. The room was spacious and I was a big fan of the towels hanging from a heated rack so that you have warm towels after the shower.

We booked 2 Executive rooms and were given rooms in the renovated building that were NOTHING like the advertised rooms. No double vanities, no large windows, no balcony, no view. One rooms had two sets of stairs just to get to the bedroom and another to get to the TINY bathroom (with no room for storage so we each had to put our toiletries on the ground when showering or getting ready, then take them back to the room). When I asked about this, all they said was that these are Executive Rooms. On top of that, the AC did not work well and the rooms were always slightly too warm and muggy. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. However, there were positives. The location was ideal for us because we could walk to all of the main sites easily, the staff was very nice and the breakfast was great! For what we got, this hotel was not worth the price. Had we been given rooms that matched the descriptions, we would have been satisfied.

Great location but thatā€™s about it. Our shower didnā€™t drain properly the entire 4 night visit even after we asked the front desk multiple times. In my opinion, the rooms were outdated but clean. The rooftop bar was nice with a good view of the city. The location is located in a big tourist area which is great for sight seeing but it is loud at night. We couldnā€™t get the AC to work. I would pass on this hotel unless you get a renovated room.

We stayed in the Orafi Tower section (the newer side since we needed more space and two beds) and it was so nice! Very clean, cozy, spacious accommodations. Had a kitchen, living room, small dining table area, closet bar in addition to bedroom and bathroom. Itā€™s bigger than a one bedroom apartment in New York City. The hotel is also located in what I argue is the center of Florence - 15-20 min south of Galleria dellā€™Academia and 10 min north of the Palazzo Pitti, literally adjacent to the Uffizi, right on the water so you can see both Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo from the rooftop - but in an area that quiets down at night so you can get some good sleep and donā€™t have to worry about crowds outside the front door. Such a good price to be in such a great location and with such space.

Very disappointed. The room was outdated - we asked at the desk if the room was up to par for a honeymoon stay and were reassured. Our room had no functioning air conditioning despite the info, there was hair leftover in the tub, and the lights were flickering. The desk staff was unhelpful and short. Donā€™t stay unless youā€™re picking one of the suites.

This is a better 3 star hotel. We had a family room which is so spacious with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room at such a great price, so book early if you visit Firenze with 3 or 4 people. Staff are quiet, but always ready to help. Breakfast is quite good, coffee is made to order. This hotel is very closed to the Vecchio bridge, but quiet enough to have a good sleep.

This hotel was absolutely spectacular! From check-in to check-out, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The views of the bridge and water were gorgeous and location was prime! Also, they delivered rose champagne and a cute note on my birthday. Definitely recommend staying here itā€™s the best!

It's hard because some of the staff were extremely friendly and great. Meanwhile, some of the front desk staff was rude and unaccommodating. We booked a family suite and a leak started in the room overnight. My suitcase happened to be under the leak and it soaked most of the contents. When the leak didn't stop and was clearly becoming a hazard due to the light fixtures it was leaking through, the staff acted like they were doing us a favor by moving our rooms. The laundry service ruined my wife's dress and they still made her pay for the cost of the laundry service. We asked for a late check out the night before and the front desk person I spoke to said 1300 was ok. The next morning a different front desk person kept pestering us telling us we needed to be out and that 1300 was not ok. After all that, they got our reservation wrong and tried to make us pay more than we owed. Overall our stay here was not good. The breakfast staff and some of the front desk staff were great. But some of the other individuals were extremely rude and unfriendly.

An outstanding hotel on the Arno next to the Uffizi. Staff are fantastic. Breakfast is good. So why only 4 stars for location? Because this hotel, only a hundred meters from the Ponte Vecchio, is in the heart of an absolute deluge of tourist foot traffic. At times you need to bash your way through the crowds to get anywhere. Otherwise, don't hesitate to stay here!

The best location, best service people and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was superb. Their plain croissants, amazing. My kids ate 2-3 each. Franco, the head of their breakfast lounge, was so kind and funny. We all love him. He treated us so well. Actually every personnel in this hotel were good. The rooms were clean every day.

A lovely hotel with a spectacular location. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the head waiter at the breakfast service. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to many major attractions and is just a charming place.

Very elegant and historic hotel with the perfect location in Florence. Our room overlooked the Arno River and was next door to The Uffuzi Museum. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. Loved the rooftop lounge, which overlooked both the river and the heart of Florence. If we ever make our way back to Florence, this is definitely where we'll stay.

This was a wonderful hotel! I very much enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was too die for. The staff was so nice and helped us whenever we needed a taxi or directions to get to a place. This hotel made me fall in love with Florence even more. It's in the center of all the shops and weed surfing is within a few minute wall I would definitely come back. We stayed in room 211 which have us a few of the river and was right above the main road where we could enjoy the sound of bustling people in the street.

My husband and I came to Italy for a vacation + our friendā€™s wedding. Florence was our first city to go to in Italy. We were suppose to be in Florence for 2.5 days. Unfortunately, our airline took out a huge chunk of that time (mixture of late landing + lost baggage that was actually not lost). So, we didnā€™t arrive in Florence until 5pm. We also didnā€™t realize the hassle of rolling two very large luggages + three backpacks going from the train station to the hotel. During September heat (mid - High 80ā€™s F) So, google map estimate of 10 minutes was really 20-25 minutes. However as we entered the lobby, sweaty, sticky, and red faced, a man from the reception greeted us with a smile followed by a bell hopper taking our two huge luggages to our rooms. And that pretty much tells you the service youā€™re gonna get for Hotel degli Orafi. Every interaction from the employees have been amazing. From the breakfast to even the cleaning people. Everyday, they would give us a card with the weather for tomorrow. It would include the condition and temperature of the weather. On our last night, two sugar candies were placed on top of our made bed with the weather card. There were two complimentary water bottles for us everyday and in the fridge. It was these little things that really stood out for us. As for our room, we had the classic room with the king size bed. Surprisingly, the room appeared large than it was in the photos. Also, the room has working AC (which we soon realized was VERY important in Europe summers), and the AC cooled well. The beds are quite firm and the pillows are fairly flat, but we anticipated them to be as it is seems to be pretty common in many European hotels. The bathroom was also surprisingly spacious. We had a standing shower, and it was able to fit my 6ā€™3 husband well. The breakfast was great. It had a lot of cold cuts, cheese, croissants, fruits, and two hot dishes. They were all (to me) very good quality. Also, we ate while occasionally starting up into the gorgeous paintings of the ceiling. We only are one dish at the bar that was tasty, but canā€™t really make a complete comment about it. Finally, check out was very smooth. Taking taxi (about 20 euro) to the trading station was even smoother. So overall: Highly recommend the hotel simply just for the fantastic service from the employees, and breakfast. But I would recommend getting a taxi if you are coming from the train station and with lots of luggage.

This is a lovely, competent, old-school hotel, and a fabulous location ā€“ literally next-door to the Fitzy museum overlooking the river, and the Ponte Vecchio. The dining room, where they serve an expensive daily. Breakfast buffet is gorgeous, and it is the epitome of a civilized lovely place to stay.

Absolutely amazing!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations and the hospitality was outstanding. The breakfast was outstanding, the rooms are spacious, and the location is supreme! My wife and I stayed here for 4 days on our honeymoon and had an amazing time!

The rooms are very tiny, the cleaner would come and leave many things not clean on the floor, the restroom are very clean. The location is amazing šŸ¤©. The reception people I saw them fighting with another guest about checking out late. The guest was charged 50 Euro because she was shopping and late for 30 mins in checkout. Very rude. Otherwise, the breakfast hall is wow šŸ¤©, coffee ā˜•ļø is warm and not hot when brought to meal.

A lovely place to stay on your travels to Florence. The staff are wonderfully attentive and welcoming. The rooms are a bit dated by very clean and well looked after. The breakfast buffet is fabulous and is such a wonderful way to start the day. The location is excellent. Just moments away from all the main sights to see in town.

Do not go to this hotel!! We went to the rooftop bar and ordered a spritz, still water, and piƱa colada and the cost was $34. It was way overpriced for a 3 star hotel. When we were going to pay, $ we told them we wanted to pay in cash and they told us we needed to go downstairs and pay at the front desk. We saw an older lady pay her food and beverage with cash, but we didnā€™t say anything and followed their directions. When we went to the front desk, we gave them a 100 euro bill and they said they didnā€™t have change. What hotel doesnā€™t have change for 100 euros? We ended up using our credit card and got charged $35.38. Also, we thought we were going to see a nice view of Florence, but if you donā€™t get sat at the two front tables, youā€™re only going to see the roofs of the houses. This was our honeymoon trip and we mistakenly came to this hotel for drinks and it was a huge mistake to stop at this 3 star hotel that should be rated 1 star.

Not a bad place to stay. Beds were okay. Our ac didn't work, so we had to open up the windows and got bite by mosquitos. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the roof top bar was very beautiful. Location is very prime.

We loved our stay here. Perfect location - literally in the center of the city and door step away from the offizi and main sites! Front deck service was fantastic, coupled with rich breakfast with a stunning city view, and help with reservations at dinner spots. One point to note- the hotel is situated in the historical center, where you arenā€™t allowed to drive via car šŸš— the hotel has an arrangement that allows to enter the zone with a car and cancel fines that may be given later by the police but we werenā€™t aware of this and driving through the busy streets of Florence on a Sunday was quite distressing- in between walking touristsā€¦ would have been nice to know in advance but once we got to the hotel got great treatment and began enjoying the city!

Thank you to the brilliant team at the hotel for a wonderful stay. The service is impeccable and the team went out of their way to help us secure last minute tickets to the Uffizi and Academie. Breakfast is amazing, complete with friendly service, in particular to my children. The location is spot on, you can walk everywhere to the key attractions and there is nothing more wonderful than a walk in the cool evening with a gelato around the corner, listening to the buskers outside the Uffizi. Thank you for a memorable stay.

A delightful and comfortable place to stay in a historical building centrally located next to Ponte Vecchio. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the bathroom warm and luxurious. The breakfast was incredible in terms of choice and quality, not to mention eating under a domed frescoed ceiling - it used to be the original house's ballroom apparently! The rooftop bar has wonderful views of the Duomo, belltower and Palazzo Vecchio tower, and of the Arno. I have stayed here twice now and would definitely stay again.
