I had high expectations for this hotel given the price. To me, the rooms felt a bit dated (very yellow - a little Mar a Lago in style honestly), and quite small. The terrace faced the inner courtyard, and wasn’t particularly useful. The room around the bed was tight. The roof terrace is ok, but not what I would expect of a hotel charging over $500 a night. It felt like some of the $200-250 a night types of terraces. The bathroom was spacious, and the minibar was fine. My main reason for the one star review is regarding service, which is largely how I rate hotels for which I am paying a sizable fee. While the staff was fine when we checked in and out, they were seriously lacking when I actually had an issue. On the first day of our stay, I sent out laundry around 1 pm. Two pairs of shorts and some under garments. The hotel returned these to me, but not until we were already checked out the next day - they put the laundry with my bags, and we loaded them in the car. While I should have double checked the laundry then and there, I assume a certain level of competence. When I went to open the bag once we got to our next destination, a pair of my favorite bike shorts were missing. I called the hotel three times about this, emailed them several times, and even went back in person. They claim they have them to me and that their staff insists they were returned. The laundry contract indicates that they should pay for the replacement of items lost or damaged, but they haven’t even refunded me what I paid to have the shorts washed. Service is very simple. If I am paying $1100 for two nights, you can afford to refund me for the cost of lost shorts and what I paid to have them washed. The location of this hotel is nice, but it isn’t worth paying this kind of price when other suitable locations are available and perhaps even better in terms of the value for money. The service is surface level only and fair weather. Most certainly do not have laundry done here. In addition to taking too long, and potentially getting lost, it also comes back smelling extremely over-perfumed.

Bernini Palace is a very beautiful hotel. The building is an old one, renovated to the today's standards. The services are great, they have a full bar and restaurant. The location is incredible, it's 5-10 minutes walking to so many major attractions, museums, basilica, etc.

A very comfortable and cosy yet elegant hotel. The rooms were perfect. Bathrooms spotless. Loved the touches of evening turn down with complimentary chocolates and water. Breakfast in the Parlemento was amazing- a definite highlight of our stay. The staff were friendly & approachable even with us all in masks. Wonderful evening meal at the bar sealed the deal. We would highly recommend a stay at Bernini Palace Hotel.

Location location location! The entry level rooms are tiny and anyone with a suitcase bigger than a carryon may have a hard time in the space but aside from this it’s perfectly cozy and comfortable. The bed slept well, bathroom modern and comfortable! Super quiet room and fast service at breakfast. Really not much more you can ask for if it’s a quick stay!!

Wonderful hotel with an amazing location - close to everything in Florence, we walked everywhere. The staff if just exceptionally professional and friendly. We had a problem with our room and it was deal with swiftly and we even got a room upgrade. Honestly, one of the best hotels I've ever been to. I would give 6 stars if I could. The rooms were clean, made to a very high standard, the breakfast choice varied across the week and was always tasty. I just couldn't find any fault with it. Just go there and enjoy your time like we did!

Had another WONDERFUL stay at this beautiful hotel! The property itself is lovely and well appointed & the location is absolutely perfect. But what makes the Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence so exceptional is the service! From the moment we checked in Matteo greeted us & took care of every detail of our stay. I was celebrating my birthday & Yuri made sure our cocktails were always ready and it was delightful to also see him in the breakfast room! I cannot recommend this special place highly enough - already planning our next visit!

Absolutely everything was wonderful, beautiful building, fantastic staff, lovely rooms. The breakfast was exceptional and the room it is served in is stunning! You should ask the staff about the history of it.

We booked Hotel Bernini Palace with hopes of having a premium (5 Star) experience in downtown Florence. I left the hotel extremely disappointed and questioning the whole “star rating system”. How could there be so much swing between so called 5 star hotel? I would have rated Hotel Bernini a single star if it were not for the excellent central location. All common areas reeked like cheap grandma perfume. Now I understand that most hotel in europe are typically scented but this was offensive. Our room was very small with a tiny window view overlooking the communal terrace (which did not have any services to speak of and closed at 7 PM- for reasons I do not understand). The shower was elevated without a water stopper so the whole bathroom essentially flooded each time we used it. The bed was uncomfortable with sheets equivalent to gas station toilet paper; perhaps the worst I’ve experienced at a “premium hotel”. The complimentary breakfast had a large selection of charcuterie, fruit, eggs and bacon; but as with the theme, everything was poorly executed. The hard boiled eggs -as an example- were severely overcooked and had a thick green (hydrogen sulphide) ring. The hotel does not have air conditioning and if they claim that they do it certainly does not work. In the absolute scorching Tuscan sun this hotel does not have a pool. We booked a three night stay and left after the first night. Life is too short, vacation time is too scarce and money is too valuable these days to waste at a place like Hotel Bernini Palace. Of course Bernini refused to refund us. A thief never returns your wallet. Thankfully Expedia mitigated our loss and we migrated to greener pastures. Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side (much like splitting open one of their hard boiled eggs).

This was a one-of-a-kind hotel experience. We were in the city center of Florence where everything was easily accessible. Our room was impeccable with gorgeous views of the duomo! Staff was attentive and went the extra mile for us daily. In the evening, they sometimes have singers or piano players in the lobby, it’s fabulous! The breakfast was wonderful as well. Not one complaint about Hotel Bernini! I will always remember staying there with my mother!

We booked this hotel because of its central location and were not disappointed. The room was small, not unexpected but it had everything we needed. Housekeeping was really good. We got complimentary water every day, we got a lovely box of chocolates upon arrival and sweets each night as part of the turndown service. The included breakfast was good with a wide selection to satisfy most palette's.

The staff at this hotel makes this a great experience. They really go above and beyond. Kelly wrote out the whole bus schedule for me to go to the mall. They packed us our breakfast to go when we left at 4:30am. It was a lovely bag full of goodies! The beds are comfortable and rooms are very quiet. We got the family duplex for our kids and they loved it. Hotel is centrally located and easy to walk to the shops, museums and piazzas. The train station is only a 15min walk away. I would definitely stay there again.

I visited Florence (and Italy) for the first time with my family. However, I have traveled the world and been to many places The Bernini Hotel is nice, historic vibes, and it looks/feels like it. My parents had a larger suite and we had a suite as well. The service is the best part of this hotel. The staff are SO nice, warm, and friendly. Thats what made our experience memorable. The breakfast buffet is fine, have what youd like, in a nice ballroom, very Italian. Even there, the staff is so nice and warm. Italy is cool, a lot of nice things to see, but there are A LOT of beautiful buildings, palaces, religious structures in the world, much nicer than in Florence and Italy. But the people of Florence, they are very special, and worth me coming back for.

Room was bit small and didn't have enough of electrical outlet near bed. Everything else was excellent. Staffs are friendly and very helpful! Good location as well

My wife and I and another couple stayed here recently (May 2023). We were recommended by our travel agent and we were glad he did. Location was in the heart of the city which is perfect for being able to walk around and see everything. The staff at the front desk and the lobby bar were amazing, very friendly and personable. I would recommend anyone to stay here, you will be glad you did.

Our recent stay at Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence was nothing short of exceptional, and it deserves every bit of a five-star rating. Amazing location in Florence. Unfortunately we didn’t find the staff very switched on and it was very difficult and time consuming to get things organized with them. Our room was very noisy with noise from the hallway and upstairs. AC wasn’t cold, but couldn’t open window due to constant beeping outside. Room and bathroom were very narrow making it tough to move around as a couple. There were also lots of lights in the ceiling for sensors alarms etc that were bright and affected sleeping.

I’ve stayed at 5 hotels in Italy and the Bernini palace hotel was by far my favorite. The front desk and team are so charismatic and welcoming. The people are genuinely so nice and will do anything right at once. The rooms were excellent, cleaned everyday, and so spacious. The balcony on the 5th floor was so convenient and cozy, my mom and I went up there everyday. The location is so perfect for walking distance to everything. Overall I would 100% recommend this hotel to someone interested in seeing the beautiful things Florence has to offer. And thank you to the Bernini staff for making my family’s stay so special!

Beautiful hotel at the best location in Firenze. It was wonderful to be able to reach the attractions like Ponte Vecchio, Museums, palaces and restaurants within few minutes. I've stopped back to my hotel room multiple times a day to rest and refresh throughout each day of the 4 day stay.

Our room was spacious, bright with a big comfy bed and large lovely bathroom. After each day and evening of traipsing around Firenze, so nice to come back to slippers waiting next to the turned back bed. The staff were very friendly and so helpful at breakfast (which was yummy), at giving us directions, and arranging for tickets and transportation. Staying here was one of our best choices on our vacation.

I booked this hotel for business and coincidentally it was my birthday. The reception staff were very kind of helping me to change my room to a brighter one and also I received a gift from the hotel for my birthday. It was a great stay and I would like to thank the reception staff for being so accommodating and for their superb service. Also the hotel is very central and it’s easy to get to nearly everywhere which is very convenient. The breakfast was quite delicious too and in room dining was of a restaurant duality.
