We visited Florence for the first time since 2021, despite spending so much time in Italy every year, and it was our first time staying at Hotel Savoy although we have stayed another lovely Rocco forte properties. Our suite was absolutely beautiful and the hotel is located in the heart of the historic city center, walkable to anything you would want to be in Florence!

My family and I checked in and have been so impressed with everything about this hotel. It is located in the center of everything, yet the rooms are pin drop quiet. The service is impeccable. We had booked a suite, but were surprised and delighted to receive a gorgeous upgrade, without asking! Concierge and reservations get right back you with answers to your inquiries. I researched so many different hotels in Florence and am so happy that we decided to stay here. I can't recommend this place enough.

Big thank you to the mystery doorman (apologies for not asking for your name) working on 15 Aug 10.30pm. We were drenched from the rain tourists desperate for taxis and thankful the doorman helped us find one, while he's also busy with the hotel patrons. Many thanks for the kind help!

Had a wonderful experience of this hotel, located in the Florence city centre. The experience started with the hotel driver Sergei (?) who picked us up from the airport. Was so well mannered and knowledgeable about Italian Renaissance, that we wished the drive to the hotel had been longer. Upon arrival at the hotel we had our brunch at the hotel restaurant Irene. The food was excellent and we were served by Giancarlo, a very devoted server. We knew by then that the Savoy would be our hotel of choice for our future visits there. Everything about the Savoy was exceptional. The mattress was one of the best we had slept on. The. room was very tastefully furnished and thoughtfully placed. Although Florence is a foodie’s delight the hotel restaurant Irene was extremely good in terms of the menu, the service, prices and the preparation. Every member of staff made us feel welcome and special and there was nothing they wouldn’t try their best to make available for us, in spite of.their hands full with other guests. Everyday there were endearing freebies for us, even complimentary tickets for Uffizi.

Service, location, nice rooms with comfortable beds good food and bar. The Savoy delivers on expectations! Enjoyed the stay there!!

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location but snout I’ll informed staff. I tried to reach the hotel for multiple days was no answer on the phone and then I emailed them as well recording an event they were hosting for the Fourth of July (US Independence Day). With the Fourth of July approaching two days away out of frustration, I actually went to the hotel in person to reservation. I was ignored at the front desk, and then they refused. They had such an event, which is very strange because it is advertised on multiple platforms in these papers, magazines, etc. it took 4 staff members to find somebody who eventually found a fax on the bulletin board about it Manager was very snooty and insisted they didn’t have any such events. However, I showed them the newspaper article and the end from the Florentine magazine, and still, they seemed astonished that they were hosting this premium event. The run around was completely unnecessary, and the lack of accountability and unfriendly Manor made me feel like I was more in France and Italy This is a premium luxury hotel and they treat you like bother rather than a guest. This would not happen at the Ritz I had told several Americans to attend this ticketed event yet the hotel did not even have a clue.

1. We called the hotel to organize a car for us since we got in near midnight. We were told there would be taxis outside the train station. We ended up walking with our bags on cobble because there were limited to no taxis. First bad experience. 2. We asked to upgrade right as we checked in. He said there were no rooms available (I knew there was because I could see their website on my phone). Next morning, I called reception and he showed us this suite. Decorations are lacking. Feels like a hotel you stay in when you’re on a quick road trip. Not a luxury room at all! There was another premier room available online (less expensive than the suite he showed me) for our desired days. I asked to see it and he said “don’t book it because you would need to move rooms every night.” Imagine another person booking this??? It doesn’t seem right. He was most likely lying. 3. Our rooms were NOT as shown on pictures. The bathrooms were old (not the beautiful white/gray marble you see as advertised. Our faucet made noises. Black stuff came out from shower (assuming mold). Our bathroom was so small it was hard for one person to move inside. This is nowhere near a 5 star! 4. We asked concierge to help make reservations for us for dinner or rooftops. They would never tell us that our desired restaurant was full unless we went downstairs to ask about it. A slip under the door, email, or phone call is 5k star service. They could never get us in to any desired restaurant either. 5. Service is not what you expect paying $1.5k a night for their BASIC room. Stay somewhere else! It is not worth your money. Location is great but so many other beautiful hotels in the center.

This hotel was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous, the service outstanding and the location was extremely convenient to everything in Florence. You don’t come across a hotel that you love so much you don’t want to leave and when you do leave, you can’t stop thinking about. That is how I feel about Hotel Savoy in Florence. We were lucky enough to stay in their gorgeous junior suite. It had multiple balconies overlooking the city. The room was modern with a large bathroom and closet along with a separate sitting room. Concierge arranged a rental car for us which was delivered to the hotel. The breakfast was amazing with an incredible array of fresh food. I highly recommend this hotel. I know I will be going back to stay!

Stunning hotel in a perfect location to discover the city. The rooms are beautiful and elegant, worthy of a 5 star luxury hotel. The always smiling and friendly staff made us feel at home.

One of the nicest suitesI have stayed in. Rocco Forte properties have not gone the route of many chains by trying to cut costs. They still provide high-quality individual bottles, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc. unlike other five-star luxury hotels who have resorted to pump stations in the showers. The rooms have character and charm and the level of service is always exceptional. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for a drink. Excellent service and a great spot to sit and watch the bustle of Florence.

A wonderful place to stay and an experience that somehow seems to be ever harder to find - from the amazing, genuine people to the comfortable and luxurious decor, there simply is no better place in all of Florence - and maybe in all of Italy.

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful experience! Bellmen/ valet: excellent service. The valet always had our car rental ready and ensured to we had bottles of water. It was nice of him to speak French to my husband and our son. Breakfast: The whole team during breakfast made sure we were attended to. Very warm people. Our housekeeper cleans well! She changes the sheets and ensures we have enough toiletries everyday. This can be a small detail but it’s often overlooked. She went out of her way to set up a toddler robe for our son which was a nice touch! Irene: Jean-Baptiste of Irene is an enabler. We didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was full so he initially gave us a table inside and eventually managed to sit us at the terrace. What blew us away was when we jokingly said “we have a problem” and he immediately answered “WE’LL FIND A SOLUTION.” His can-do attitude made our whole dinner experience extra delightful. He is definitely a gem in this hotel.

Wonderful location, perfectly appointed rooms with everything you need for a more than comfortable trip to one of the most beautiful cities in the world! On top of that, the staff is incredibly nice with extremely well concierge service. This hotel is well maintained heritage with a good sense of authenticity. The best terrace in Florence is to be found nowhere else but here. For great breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a heavenly well-stirred cocktail. We’ll be back soon!

A beautiful hotel in the centre of Florence. The staff are wonderful and look after you so well. The food is delicious and the service overall is 5* a lovely stay at the hotel and our suite was amazing! A perfect place to stay in Florence.

Lunch in Irene, Bruschetta with Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella, followed by one of the best lasagne I’ve ever had. Finished of with tiramisu and coffee wine and water. The best meal we have had in Florence simple but so much flavour.

Friendly service, great location and tasty food. A wonderful place to enjoy Florence from. One minor consideration is that by being so central, there can be some outside noise. Usually okay to sleep through, but worth considering if you are a light sleeper.

My fiance and I had an amazing experience staying here last week. They were very detailed and always greeted us with a warm smile. The room was very clean and spacious with a great view. The location couldn't have made it any easier to explore, shop and roam the streets while allowing us to stop in every so often. We will definitely be going back next summer!

In the middle of the city center, perfekt to explore beautiful Florence. Nice suits with great Interieur, great dinner at Irene restaurant.

This is the hotel you want to stay at when visiting Florence! It is right in the downtown code, next to the famous carousel, a stone throw away from the Duomo (which you can see from some suites) and all other attractions. After their renovations, all rooms are unique and very stylish and appealing. Our suite had a TV in a fireplace surround and some great artwork. The suite had an office, too, and one of the nicest bathrooms. Oh, right, the walk-in closet! The staff is super helpful... We kept the Concierge busy all night helping with our PCR test... Thank you so much!!! 5 stars, and if possible, more. We will be back!!

I had an excellent stay here for my honeymoon recently. Our room was spacious and beautiful and the service was excellent. We also loved the location. Highly recommend!

Great location, right in the heart of it all. That’s where my praise for this hotel ends. It’s not that it’s a bad spot, per se, it’s just not special, and for a hotel of this caliber that’s a problem. Rooms are fine, but many lack double pain windows and overlook a crowded piazza with street musicians, so they’re pretty noisy. The staff is fine but not particularly gracious. The lobby is meh, and the decor is fine but unmemorable. The restaurant is fine but nothing special. If I had to describe the place in two words, as you’d probably guess, I’d say “fine” but “unmemorable.”
