The Hotel Perseo was the perfect spot for us to stay during our visit to Florence. The location can’t be beat: just a few minutes away from all of Florence’s top attractions! The staff were incredibly helpful with information about what to do and where to go, including some on-point restaurant recommendations (and they all speak flawless English). The hotel has a great free breakfast and also offers laundry service for a fee (which came in handy when we ran out of clean clothes after a few weeks of traveling). The room itself was comfortable and spacious. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting Florence.

Fantastic location! The woman who runs the front desk is just wonderful. You feel she is invested in you having a good stay in Florence. Great and plentiful breakfast. Rooms clean and normal size for Europe. Great value

I lucked out when I picked this hotel. My family and I arrived around 6ish, tired from a full day of traveling. Marco met us and was the best host. He was not only welcoming, he seemed authentically joyful at our arrival. He was so instructive and extra helpful. He helped us with our bags to our room and he gave us the absolutely best recommendation on places to have dinner and get the best deals on gelato. We took his suggestions and had the best first night in Florence. Marco speaks Italian, English and Spanish! At least those were the three languages we spoke to him in. We bumped into him in the streets and he was the same guy - nice, friendly and someone I would want to invite to my home. Did I mention that the hotel is steps away from the Piazza del Duomo? All the greatest Florence attractions in walking distance. You can live out all your Italian romantic movie scenes while staying at this location. Our room looked exactly like the pictures and the Mitsubishi AC is completely programmable. The WIFI is fast so you can plan your days and get work done. And the shower water pressure is unbelievable. The breakfast spread is FANCY and INCLUDED as part of your hotel stay. It includes fresh fruits, meats like prosciutto, breads, warmed pastries, pancakes, yogurts, cereals and other assorted treats. The coffee is the BEST and you can choose Cappuccino or Latte or American. This alone saved me a ton and the hassle of figuring this out before I start my day. But this is the best part. My son has Autism and was becoming impatient, wanting to leave for our train ride that he was overexcited about. Louise, the morning manager, offered him paper and markers and took him into the cozy common living room so we could eat breakfast in peace. I have never experienced this level of genuine generosity ever before…: We are still here. I will let you know how the rest of our trip goes! But if this is day one, I can only imagine good things!

The staff was wonderful, they served us breakfast because of the Covid regulations as well and it was one of the best ones I’ve had. The room was big, comfy, with powerful AC and a great bathroom. The hotel is 3 minutes from the Domo, 5 minutes from the train station. I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Walked in and got a room for the same night. Room was spotless and very nice. Shower was amazing. The air conditioning though made the whole stay well worth it. Location 100m from Duomo and seems like everything you want to see is no further than 10 min away. Breakfast in the morning was simple but sufficient. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, we were also able to leave our things while out for a couple hours in the morning. Would stay again!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Perseo. The staff were all absolutely lovely. So accommodating, informative and friendly. Their recommendations were helpful, and they were only too happy to call and reserve restaurants or book museum tickets for us. The breakfast every morning was fantastic, with a great selection available and delicious coffee! The room was very comfortable also, but for us the highlight was the location. Just a few steps away from the Duomo and a short walk to the station, it really is unbeatable. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone wanting to explore Florence.

Friendly staff. Small rooms, typical European size. However, bedbugs at Room 414. Be aware. Response: My wife noticed it on the 28th (arm) and 30th (abdomen). My fault, I wasn't able to communicate with you about it, we were busy and on the roll each day. I thought about it and would ask to be transferred to a different room, and for you to be aware as well, but I didn't have the chance. Maybe it wasn't from the room, but at least you will be aware.

Great hotel, amazing location, amazing views, helpful staff. Maybe the breakfast could be a little bit better but nothing too serious. If I ever find myself in Florence again I'll definitely stay here again

Brilliant location for the Duomo, Santa Maria Novella train station and an array of restaurants/cafes/bars. The staff were friendly on arrival and spoke competent English. The breakfast is of a high-quality and the lady who managed it was very efficient and friendly. I especially enjoyed my capachuchu and pancakies. Our room was small with a non-existent view of laundry drying in the courtyard, but the A/C worked well and it was fairly quiet.

Fantastic hotel. Location, location, location. The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was ok but the friendly staff, the fantastic breakfast every morning and its central location to everything make this an excellent choice for those on a budget. Walkable distance to train station.

Travelling for 2 months and this hotel is a breath of fresh air. ALL of the staff are friendly and helpful, our room was comfy and clean and it has an elevator so suitcases are easily transported. The location is fantastic, close to lots of the main tourist attractions and easy walking to the train. The breakfast was efficient, good quality and well organised. Cannot fault Hotel Perseo! Loved our stay.

We had a great time staying at Hotel Perseo in beautiful Florence. The room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The location was central to all the main sites, just a few steps away from the duomo. We enjoyed the fresh breakfast every morning. This is where we will stay again when we come back to Florence.

There is service, and there is service. The staff at Hotel Perseo are lovely. They made my family feel very comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived. The lobby, café, room, and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The location of this hotel is almost perfect. It's a few minutes walk from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station, Galleria dell 'Accademia, Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza Della Repubblica, Mercato Centrale Firenze, etc. There are numerous trattoria and Osteria around you that you will never need to search. The location is safe and I recommend this hotel when I go or take my family back to Firenze.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. This continued until we left. Nothing was too much trouble and they were incredibly helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend trip. Close to all the main sites in Florence. Would highly recommend and would definitely return to stay again.

I have stayed here multiple times now. It is a reliable, affordable, nice hotel. I will stay here again the next time I go to Florence. The location is very convenient. The breakfast is actually great. The workers speak English well enough to help if that’s important to you.

Fantastic location! Super friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and clean rooms. Great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast is delicious with a nice selection of pastries, fruits, cereal, breads, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee, tea. And again the location... just steps from the duomo and within walking distance of everything you would want to see in Florence. We can't wait to come back!

The view from our Superior Double matched their photo, also being an inner room the street noise was minimized. Staff was friendly, location was perfect. Our Standard Double was a nice size for our children. Its view of the bells at adjacent church was also good. Wifi was sufficient for all of us.

Outstanding service by a friendly and dedicated front desk staff. The rooms are well maintained and the breakfast was a charming blend of Italian flavors and hospitality. The location is also fantastic, just a few steps from Florence’s famed Duomo and a short walk from the train station.

You can’t beat the location! Just a few steps from the Duomo of Florence. You might even get a bit of a view from your window. Don’t be put off by the entrance. You go up to reception via elevator. The first few floors seem to be longer term vacation rentals. The desk isn’t fancy and the carpet in the hallways is a little run down. But the rooms are clean and relatively modernized. There was a small fridge and a safe. Decent AC and WiFi. Pillows were pretty flat and the TV choices for English speakers were very limited. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in our rate. Very nice breakfast with choices of yogurt, fresh fruit and veg, meats, pastries and choice of coffees.

We stayed here for four nights and had a great stay. The room was very clean and the people at the front desk were very nice and super helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of options. One morning we were running late and they literally gave me coffee in a to go cup and gave me a take away bag to bring some pastries with us. It is also located a stones throw away from the duomo and a quick walk from the train station.

3 star hotel with comfortable amenities, adequate breakfast for a reasonable price. Rooms are large for Europe, clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but the service and staff are super friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel if you aren’t looking for affordable and comfortable.

Located in a couple minutes walking distance from Duomo, rooms are clean and pretty nice. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

One of the worst hotels I have ever seen and they say 3 stars. Staff is rude, elevator is like a frate elevator, walls are all damaged, beds are lumpy, sheets are tuff. Location is only thing they have going for themself. But there are others for same price in same area much much nicer. Don’t screw up and believe the fake reviews.

  • 1/5 Tammy B. 1 year ago on Google
Would not recommend. Facilities are sub standard for hotel with 3 star rating. Other than location & Laura’s cheerful smile, we have nothing good to stay. Ceiling with peeling paint, mildew & mold in showers, scuff marks on walls, wall corners dinged up. Feels like a hostel. Odor in entry is unpleasant & big turn off. Man at front desk chased me & my sister & brother in law down hallway shouting “not a guest - cannot enter”. We simply made a stop to drop off shopping packages!!! Freight type elevator dirty. Just wasn’t a pleasant experience at all.

Front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations and getting us reservations. Location is fantastic. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Only thing that could have made it better was if it had a small fridge in the rooms.

Very nice place, very well located. It is located in the middle of the historic neighbour. You can easily enjoy walking in 1 min to the Duomo for example. Very kind service working with WhatsApp. The only drawback is the fact that the breakfast does not start before 8am... I found it very late when you want to start your Day early (tour, train...)

The hotel is in a great location just a block from the Duomo. All of the hotel staff were so friendly and provided amazing hospitality throughout our stay. Has a great continental breakfast and AC for those hot summer days!

We feel grateful for staying at this hotel. We (family with two daughters) stayed there for 5 nights. It is located at the heart of the historical center, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room we stayed was excellent and comfortable. And all of this, in a very good price. I recommend it.
