Never a 4-star Hotel. Beautiful location, garden and view. But everything else is falling apart. It feels like a rip-off. Rooms old and Food & Beverages out side breakfast hours nearly impossible to get. Here’s a manager needed… currently there’s obviously nobody in charge.

We stayed here in August 2022 and had the most magical experience. I did a ton of research on where to stay in Florence prior and it’s hard to imagine you’d find a better experience for the value. Stefano provided great concierge at check in. It would be hard to say what our favorite aspect of the stay… the historic expansive hotel & grounds were beyond our expectations. The largest hotel room we’ve ever experienced in Europe with stunning views. We loved lounging at the pool every afternoon with cocktails once we explored Florence. We would walk every morning through the farm into the city and then taxi home. We feel so fortunate that we could stay here and hope we can visit again! Thank you Anna for your extreme dedication to this legacy family property, offering cooking classes & graciously welcoming guests.

Amazing hotel / castle experience :) The pictures available online don’t show the full scale of how grand and majestic this place is! You feel as if you are back in time, leaving in a castle. As the property is on top of a hill, the views of Florence are amazing from any angle you look from! The inside of the hotel gives you a museum experience. High ceilings (aprox 10 / 12 m) decorated with ceiling paintings and/or wood sculpting. The rooms are amazing. We stayed in 2 different rooms as we extended the stay. The first room was huge ( maybe 100 m including the bathroom) The views were amazing ! The second room was the tower. If you are a sporty person you are in for a treat. There are 126 steps to get to the tower room. The room is immense, the views stunning & decorations unique. Not recommended if you want a convenient room as it is rather a challenge to get up and down. We loved it ! 😁 You can walk to the city center (aprox 25 min) on a beautiful road surrounded by tall medieval walls. A place worth visiting again and again :)

Beautiful view and nice garden with some cute donkeys. We had a lovely spacious and quiet room, although room 3 is a bit dark as there is only 1 window. Also the bathroom was a bit awkward as the showerhead is not hanging on the wall and there is no curtain. Pool area is very nice with good beds. Breakfast had a good selection and the view from the breakfast area is great. The people that worked at Reception were super friendly and helpful, would have loved to stay longer! I would definitely like to return as it was very relaxing.

I booked this hotel for August 23rd with an instant confirmation email from hotel.com (third party site I booked through) that had the correct info. However, Alessandro from the hotel sent me an email putting me down for August 8th, which is incorrect. I only found out because I checked to see if I could find the cancel prompt in the email days later. Be careful in case you find out too late and things are booked up. This isn't as big of an issue now because I am cancelling after finding another place with a shuttle, and hoping the refund goes smooth. However, it seems like a beautiful place and would love to try it in the future.

Bellissimo - in Florentine hills overlooking the old walled city, the hotel began as a 13th century hunting lodge, 14th century Medici villa and now an unsurpassed Diamond💎.

It was one of the most atmospheric places in Tuscany. Thank you to the owners that made us feel like we are at home and we are the part of Italian family. We will come back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo in off season! The hotel is beautiful! And special thanks to Cristiano who treated us like King and Queen 😊❤️ the views are just magnificent.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The good: located in quiet neighborhood with amazing views of Florence. Beautiful gardens. Most of the staff was really friendly and helpful. The bad: our first room didn’t hit have hot water or a real shower, just a bath tub and wand. We were moved to a new room (which also didn’t have hot water until we complained again) but the toilet barely functioned in this room. Rooms and hotel generally need to be remodeled. The couch in our room was old and stained. The pool isn’t heated, so despite being 80F outside the water was too cold to really enjoy (late September). There isn't a restaurant on site - food is brought in and served lukewarm.

I love this palace castle domain!!! It is a fairytale! My respect to the ancestors who built such a cappodopera amd to the baron that allows us to visit.

Charming hotel, view is amazing, pool service even late in the evening. Amazing breakfast with a view, concierge is very helpful and friendly! So far best calm place to stay in Florence.

An absolutely gorgeous location overlooking Florence. The hotel is in bedded in lush gardens with beautiful flowers and citrus trees. It’s old architecture is interesting. It’s secluded and has a tranquil feeling. The rooms are individually decorated and feels genuine and welcoming, however, depending on the month of your visit, it can get quite cold at night. I wish that the hotel had have its own kitchen but unfortunately you can only order from a small restaurant near by. The food is good but is quite limited. Yet this place deserves its 5* as its originality and location is superb.

This hotel is everything that they advertise. It is beautiful and 20min away from the chaos of the city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I still don't understand why the bathroom doesn't have a shower, but I can overlook that detail over the rest. The pool is big and the gardens are outstanding.

One of the most incredible places that I have ever stayed while traveling. Its not in the city, and walking is not a great option, but the view, the staff, the atmosphere, and the overall unique experience of staying here more than makes up for being outside of the city. I hope to make return trip and I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Fantastic and unforgettable view of Florence and the Hotel is like living in a Castle. The Staff is always very friendly and helpful and welcoming. The whole place is magical with beautiful garden and surroundings. You feel you live in the countryside but the town is only 11-15 min downhill by foot and another 15 to the center. The road to the hotel is very narrow and you do not want to drive up and down every day. Take a taxi home in the evening. I would recommend this Hotel to couples and only families with kids older than 15.

Fantastic and magical hotel where my husband and I stayed as part of our honeymoon in Italy. We had an amazing room and enjoyed daily walks into Florence. It's a serene escape from the bustle of the city. The food was spectacular and the service was perfect. We loved playing with the local kittens and cats here. We just hope they are spayed and neutered! Back home in New York City we volunteer for many stray cat organizations and know how important it is to spay/neuter a colony of cats. We can't wait to come back to Bellosguardo and stay here again. It was truly the perfect stay and perfect experience.

The views and the grounds at Hotel Torre Bellosguardo was to die for. Hotel Bellosguardo is one of my favorite hotels of all the time. This is a must stay, and the hotel was one of my highlights of My Visit to Florence. The murals and the History of this place as well, are noteworthy with the Medici linage. Great Hotel!
