Incredible place to stay. Room was a big suite with a huge shower, large bedroom with king bed. The building is part of a very old monastery with completely modern renovations. Exposed original stone work is amazing. Rooms are super quiet. The location, wow. Can't believe the price is so liw with how perfect the location is! A few things to prepare for. 1. It's a little tricky to find, only because you enter in a private small door on narrow via Condotta street. Only the lighted sign and 3 stars let you know it is the hotel. It makes you feel like you have a private secret place to sneak into. On check in day, press the doorbell and someone will let you in. After that, your room key gets you in 2. You have to climb one flight of steps. If this is a show stopper, fine, but it really was not a big deal. It further justified what Everone told us...pack light!. Having just a small carryon was a blessing. After one flight there is the tiniest but modern elevator if you don't want to walk the one more flight up to room/lobby level. By the way, monks from the monastery still use these steps! 3. If it is cool outside like 18c or below, the ac will not come on on your room. It was a little stuffy since the weather was damp and cool when we were there. Just deal with it, or open the window to cool down before bed. 4. Staff are fantastic! In particular make arrangements for a private walking tour with Sabina. She is the nicest and extremely knowledgeable. We did the tour with her on our first morning, which was a great orientation. Book separately and pay in cash for a fantastic walkbl with her!

This little gem was a pleasant surprise during my stay in Firenze. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was located close to anywhere you may want to visit in the city. I will stay here again when I go back to Italy. Check-in begins at 8 am, which is a huge plus. Just realize you need to check in by 8pm as there is no night front desk worker.

Fantastic location! Very secure. You have to use a key card to get into the building. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is an elevator however you still need to go up one flight of stairs before you get to it. Wasn’t an issue for us but important to know. Great spot close to everything. We were there during a horrible heat wave so I’d avoid Italy in July if you can but otherwise a great trip!

excellent walkable location, very nice/spacious room with high ceilings and 2 large windows — one of the best values of my lengthy Europe trip. an espresso/tea machine available at all hours would make this place perfect? i don’t say this as a complaint, but a suggestion(?) it was such a nice 3 day stay, and the only thing i found myself wanting was an occasional coffee

I would give the room 4.8 if this was number rating. .2 deduction due to the a/c not cool enough, but this is Europe. I would stay here again in April or early May. The room would definitely be too hot in the summer for me

Perfect location We were able to walk to many of the highlights in Florence. The hotel was small but very comfortable with large rooms and great staff!

I woke up with a mosquito bite. I had a big itchy bump that made me uncomfortable next several days. Luckily I stayed there only one night. Even bathroom is nice ( shower cabin is only 2 ft wide though), bed is comfortable, I would not stay there again. No functional windows, really gloomy feeling. There are frescoes on the ceiling but they don’t brighten the mood. They put breakfast items on a table in front of the rooms ( no real eating area). When I asked if breakfast is included since literally it is outside the room , they said no. Breakfast looked so plain and cheap that it would cost them couple of euro the most ( they charge 8 euro) and easily could be included. Management is proud of their ratings and display them at the reception and tend to argue with poor reviews but I will post my not so great experience anyway.

Absolutely loved staying here! My husband and I stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon. Fairly large rooms and bathrooms. The hotel is the middle of the city close to everything but also very quiet. The owner, Sabina, and her staff are so helpful and kind. We also did a walking tour with Sabina, and it was one our favorite things we during our stay in Florence. Learning the history and little secrets about Florence was so fascinating. When we go back to Florence we will be staying here again. Highly recommend staying here and doing the walking tour!

1st( and most important) friendly, informative and helpful staff. The room: it looks like there has been a recent modernization, jacuzzi style shower 🥰 while the main room had afresh clean modern look, room had a safe, fridge and kettle with all the condiments needed for a quick coffee/tea, but why bother! in the am expresso is available as well as a very extensive continental breakfast. Central location all major attractions as well as train station in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and recommend you do too 😊

While the hotel is well located I can't really recommend it for anything else. Our room was located facing the street and was very noisy all night for all three nights we stayed. When I asked reception about moving to another room they tried to tell me it wasn't noisy because our was only a small street. We had to use ear plugs all visit to try and sleep. The beds were uncomfortable. The shower was tiny. The breakfast was not very good. The staff did not offer to help us up and down the stairs with our luggage. For anyone with mobility issues this hotel would be almost impossible. It's in an old building, I get that. The frescos were pretty. But the main purpose of a hotel is to sleep comfortably and on that count it failed.

Wonderful little hotel in the heart of Florence. Great location - only few minutes walk to all the historical monuments; also super close to the shopping streets! The hotel has only 9 rooms, which makes your experience in Florence very unique. We stayed 2 nights at the standard room. They kept the design in Renaissance style, but all the facilities were new and modern. We really enjoyed the rain shower in the morning! :) Breakfast is served in the little dining room. They only had few things, but everything was fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a (long-) weekend in Florence!

I am a young (22) American female traveling alone and I felt very safe here. Staff spoke good English and was very kind and friendly. My room was beautiful. The breakfast was good. There is a complimentary espresso bar. If you check out but want to walk around town for a bit they will hold your bags. I was able to use the free WiFi until I found a cell phone store nearby and activated a SIM card. The hotel is very close to everything. I was able to walk to the train station from the hotel. The pricing is very fair for what you get. Overall I was very impressed and will stay here again.

Super centrally located and the furnishings are very nice. But, unfortunately, the window of the balcony room(superior double 108) looks into the hallway so there's no privacy at all and it's very dark with the curtain closed. Also, I've never seen a smoke detector with bright flashing lights. This particular model has lights that flash every 10 seconds, and it's directly above the bed. Very disruptive for sleeping. Checkout is 10:30.

The staff is not very friendly nor helpful. Please know that there is no coffee machine, of any type, in the room and while they do have a coffee machine in the lobby, they charge you for coffee. The price on the website says that breakfast is offered for six euros. Upon checking in, they told us breakfast was eight euros. There are no laundry facilities at this hotel! We booked through Expedia and laundry is listed as one of the amenities. When you call and ask them about it they recommend a laundromat that they say is only three minutes away. If you’ve ever been to Florence, nothing is just three minutes away! Very dissatisfied upon arrival!!!
