- The staff in the reception are very friendly and nice - The room we stayed in was clean, and the window had double glass, so there was no noise from the main street. - The breakfast was 5 out of 10 - The hot water in the shower aren't so hot - For the price we paid I would definitely say it's high for what you get

I stayed 8 nights at this hotel and the location cannot be beat! It is within 3 minutes of the Duomo and only a 7 minute walk from the train station. It is in the city center but was quiet at night. The room was surprisingly large, which was great for my longer-term stay! The cleaning staff is really quick, as well. The breakfast on the terrace a great start to the morning with the great views, the very tasty pastries and a selection of cold cuts but also scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. The staff is very friendly and it was a very pleasant stay!

The B & B Hotel Firenze Laurus was the perfect place for our first trip to Florence. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. I love having concierge 24/7. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, clean and welcoming. The location could not be any better. It was a short walk from the main train station, to the important places of interest, as well as cafes, restaurants, and shopping. My husband and I will definitely be booking here again. PS, the view of the Duomo dome from the breakfast terrace of the hotel is stunning! The food and drinks photos are from a bar/cafe close to the hotel.

What can I say. This place is just fantastic with its location and convenience. Only a few minutes walk away to all the major landmarks and super conveniently located to the train station which was really crucial to me. Most importantly, the room and staff were amazing! They are really friendly and gave us a great time while staying at the hotel and after (when we wanted to see the rest of duomo they have a place to store our luggage which was super convenient). Absolutely recommend this place!

B&B Hotel Laurus Al Duomo is a great place. Easy walk from the station, also to most of what Florence has to offer. On arriving Melissa at the front desk was most helpful with my booking, explaining luggage storage before and after check in/out. She then turned into travel guide and highlighted all the places I told her I wanted to see .. some she even checked via the net for exact locations. Thank you Melissa you were amazing. Over my 2 day stay all the staff I had contact with were great .. nothing was an effort when I came to meeting my needs. Room was clean comfortable and refreshed everyday. The lift was a lifesaver after walking around Florence. Thank you everyone, my stay was fabulous.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and refreshing after a long train ride. Outstanding service and orientated us to the city as we were first time visitors. Suggested good food places and tours. Thank you, see you soon.

I had an excellent stay here, absolutely idyllic location next to the cathedral and yet quiet and clean room with great wifi. The receptionist Simona was so friendly and accommodating with advice on where to go and tips on hidden gems in the beautiful city of Firenze. We will be back again!

We had a lovely stay at B&B Hotel Firenze Lauras al Duomo. The room was very nice and clean, the location was excellent and we had a great view from our window. Even in the busy city, the room was quiet at night. The staff was also very welcoming and attentive. We had a great experience with Simona who took very good care of us. We also loved the complimentary breakfast, it was very yummy. The only down side was the pillows provided were a bit flat so we had to ask for a few extra to compensate. Besides that, we loved it and would definitely stay again!

This was a great hotel!! The room was very nice and clean. The location was excellent as it was close to the Dome and the station. Great view and quiet although there was a lot of activity on the street. The staff were so accommodating especially with my daily requests for ice because of my aching feet. They are truly the best and I will be sure to highly recommend.

Overall great hotel. Simona at the front desk was the best part. Always willing to help, gave TONS of great advice for restaurants, helped with directions. I cannot say enough good things about her. She made our stay 10/10.

This hotel was amazing. The location was perfect, a short walk to the train station and the duomo, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Simona was so kind and accommodating, delivering an extra blanket and towels to the room, giving us great recommendations and even booking a dinner reservation for us one night. The bed was comfortable and the showers were a great size (we were thrilled after 6 nights of small showers). I would 100% stay here again if I come back to Florence.

Excellent hotel! Perfect location to get around! Easy access to restaurants, historical sites, and the train. Room was clean and the bed was perfect! My only issue was the shower floor (which was inside the tub) was slippery, so I mentioned that. The very next time I took my shower there was a mat so I wouldn’t slip!!! The staff at the desk were so helpful and courteous! Ciao!

A good hotel at a great location. There are rooms facing the street that have nice views, but can be slightly noisy (hotel is in a touristy part of town, so the neighborhood is usually busy). But there are also rooms that don’t have a great view, but are amazingly quiet (we tried both of these rooms, and the reception was very accommodating). Breakfast is also good, it is more or less the same breakfast everyday, but it’s pretty good. Bed was very comfy. Overall a nice hotel!

We had a wonderful stay here. The service was amazing (thank you to Simona) with friendly energy, help with umbrellas, and delicious food recommendations. Rooms were very large and comfortable and they had strong A/C. The hotel location was fantastic and super convenient to great food and sightseeing. The continental breakfast was not great but it came with the room, so we didn't have high expectations. Overall, we had a great time here and would stay at this hotel again when we come back and visit Florence.

This is such a lovely hotel, located just some steps away from the Duomo di Firenze and city center. The room was clean and soundproof. The breakfast was also good and the staffs are very friendly. I´ll stay there again, if I come visit Florence again.

I really loved this hotel and there are so many great things to say about it. They offered amazing customer service (Simone was great), the room was super clean and the breakfast was more than we could have asked for. Also, the rate was very reasonable, only about a 2 minute walk from the center. My wife and I felt very safe and comfortable with our stay. I would highly recommend 10/10

The hotel is clean, the hot breakfast was great and an easy way to start the day. Rooms are big and clean. Situated 2 blocks from the Duomo, you will be nestled is a VERY touristy area! Located a few blocks from the train station.

Tiny rooms but very well equipped. Breakfast not great but sufficient, terrace not open through the day/ evening was a pity. No porter for luggage. Excellent location but building work in the next building woke us up early morning. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Tub leaking left the bathroom a mess but cleanliness was good.

The pros of this hotel are its location close to the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station, its location close to the Catedral De Fiore, and the air conditioning. Hotel Laurus al Duomo Firenze is a B&B Hotel. There were several negatives. The staff were not very helpful or competent. We asked if we could drop our bags off around noon before check-in at 2pm and they told us that they were not sure because they did not know if they would have space despite the fact that we were checking into a room. Our room window faced a wall. We wanted to extend our stay one night and went to the desk to change our reservation but the staff made us book a new reservation online and bring our key card to be reset. The staff were also very pushy and somewhat dishonest when they said that there was only one room left because the hotel did feel completely full and there were many rooms to choose from. Breakfast, which is included in the reservation and served on the terrace rooftop, was just okay with very cheap deli meats, cheap cheese, under flavored pastries, and some bread. The fruit was fine but often under ripe. There were many bees and pigeons. While the terrace does have somewhat of a view of the Brunelleschi dome, it turns into a mediocre hotel bar that serves only a few patrons and prevents you from enjoying a view of the dome with your own food or beverage if your room doesn’t have a view. The only four people at the bar were basically guests. The rooms were clean but a bit oddly designed. The bright bathroom lights must be on for the water to run in the bathroom. The shower water temperature is inconsistent. There were not outlets on both sides of the bed. I would not stay here again or recommend the hotel to friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here. If it is your first time in the city and new to the culture, this place and specially their staff makes everything convenient, comfortable and enjoyable for you. We were very satisfied and definitely will recommend this place to our friends and our families who have plan to travel to Italy.

Best feature of the hotel is the great location and friendly customer service. There were a few details from the room stopping me from giving a 5 score. It lack comfiness when it comes the bed and pillows, they felt worn out. We also struggle with the shower, the water comes out of the shower, the protective wall is too small. But overall good experience.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Walking distance from the train station and 2 seconds away from the Duomo. Our room was very large and had all of the modern amenities. Super clean as well. The breakfast selection each morning was great and the staff at the front desk were always very helpful in providing directions or offering suggestions!

Great location right next to the center and close to the train station. The breakfast buffet is ok, even though it’s worth to just sit down in one of the many little bars and bakeries next to the hotel. Possibility to leave the luggages after checking out.

- Hotel pictures were very misleading. The pictures showed one bigger bed for a couple’s room, however upon arriving, we find 2 twin beds connected together. - Room walls are dirty and looks uncleaned. - One of our towels were dirty, looked stained, and had 2 pieces of short black hair on it (neither my fiancé or I have short black hair). When we called reception to ask for a new towel, the man that picked up the phone said that cleaning staff did not start until 9am, and told us to come down and get the towels ourselves. This made me very disappointed, as I wasn’t expecting to have to go downstairs and pick up towels to replace the dirty ones left behind from the last guests. The man eventually agreed to bring us up the towels. - Wifi worked for 10 seconds max every time we connected to it. We had mentioned this to reception, they said they weren’t sure how to fix it and basically told us to deal with it. The second time we mentioned it, they said they had asked someone to fix it. When we called reception to ask them about it a third time, they put us on hold for 15 minutes, and never got back to us. - Upon arrival, both little packaged hand soap/body soap were opened, and the staff did not bother to change them, throw them out, or give us new unopened ones before giving us the room. - Also upon arrival, the toilet paper roll on the holder was almost empty and was not replaced with a new roll. - The second day we stayed here, the staff did not refill our mini fridge with water, or any beverages for that matter. - The shower water temperature was very inconsistent and would change from hot to cold every few minutes, this happened regardless if I showered during the day or night time. - The only good thing I can really say about this hotel is that it is in a good location. That is the only reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, reasonable rooms (if slightly outdated), clean, perfect location. Breakfast could have been better but did the job. Would stay here again as it was great value for money.

Great location, easy to walk to top spots, restaurants and shops. The staff were super lovely. Also the comfiest beds of our stays in Italy. However we were given an old room that kept giving us problems. From electrics cutting, to drains getting blocked in sink and bath. Wifi was incredibly slow. The breakfast staff didn’t say a word to you they just cleaned up around you. Pigeons on the balcony waiting to pounce on your food. There were no extra pillows in the cupboard so you had to ask. Lastly because of problems they tried to change our rooms but when we were given the key to the next room unfortunately the new rooms given were not clean or turned over by house keeping. So we were left with the original room. Reception staff were often alone in the hotel so limited to the help they could give.

Hotel was great. Location was incredible, very close to everything. Staff was very helpful. Bed and pillows were stiff and flat, but that seems to be the norm in Italy. Apparently, Italians prefer hard beds with flatter pillows. The breakfast on the terrace was very good with an awesome view of The Duomo. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay with Hotel Laurus Al Duomo. The customer service was top notch, always friendly, and able to help with any of our needs. The hotel was clean and the room was very quiet, especially given the amazing location so close to the Duomo. Location was perfect, close to the train and the beauty that Florence has to offer. I would strongly recommend staying with Hotel Laurus Al Duomo. My one feedback for improvement is that the bed in our room was quite hard. I do realize that is matter of preference, though. Thank you for helping to make our stay in Florence so enjoyable.
