Very nice and affordability hostel in the city centre of Florence (Firenze). Nice building and spacious room for three persons. The manager did a great job in making sure we had a pleasant stay for one night. Useful to know is that the entrance of the building is next to Porcellino Market. We were confused first and walked to number 6 on the other side of the road. We hostel is exactly where the pin is on the map!

For the age of the building the hostel is in reasonably good condition. The temperature of the shower would change without being adjusted and the noise from the street was very loud. Still I'd recommend it as a budget bed in a good part of town.

They were nice enough to come pick us up when stuck with the directions on Google maps ( location wasn't updated properly). However they turned ultra rude and wouldn't allow my friend to escape the rain and come inside while we checked in. Did not allow card payments and provided no receipt. Room was spacious but place was very noisy. Location is fab to visit places but being in the old quarter, transport can be a real pain if you have a bit of luggage on you. Bathroom was clean enough. It's not so bad for a night or 2 but anything beyond you should reconsider.

My girlfriend and I rented one room with two beds pushed together, and stayed here 3 nights. It seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves, quiet and close to everything. We had an excellent time, and when I come back to Florence, I will most certainly be staying here again. Jubi spoke great English and was happy to help. We booked ahead, which made everything easier. The place was spotless clean, the bathrooms were great, and the showers were perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better place.

VERY POOR and UNPLEASANT. First of all, the rooms and the bathroom do not match at all with the pictures that they show online. When we got there, they gave us a room with the window facing the bins and back of the building. When opening the window, the smell of rubbish invaded the room. The bathroom was not cleaned so you can play the ā€œpapilloma rouletteā€ in the shower tray as there is no cleaning service at all so please BRING FLIP FLOPS. Plus, the toilet window remains broken as mentioned in previous reviews, so I could imagine how will it be in winter time. There is no facilities at all . Furthermore, the noise was noticeable, not only from the bins when they were collected but also the other customers did not let us sleep. The lock of the bathroom was not very useful as you can be seen from outside. Pay a bit more and you will find better places around the same area. The furniture in the room was the best part as you will be lucky if you get a hunger... The bedside table was a chair. Good luck!

Great location, but can be noisy at night. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are okay except my shower was kind of overflowing.. Great wifi!! Would recommend for broke uni students who just need a place to sleep NOTE: they do NOT ACCEPT card here for payment!

Stayed for four nights. I was a little disappointed with having absolutely no air conditioning. I think the three stars are purely location and also the secluded location, which I liked a lot. The room itself was too much for four nights to accompany me and a guest. I would recommend a night or two nights at the very maximum.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! One of the worst places Iā€™ve ever stayed in. First of all, the host was just rude and irresponsible. Thereā€™s no clear instructions at the gate or signs indicating Hostel Veronique is in the building. Residents are not helpful just said to us you just need to ring the bell. We rang the bell multiple times but no responds. We then went in to the building and searched for the hostel floor by floor and finally found it on the top floor. When I saw a man came out from one of the apartments I asked whether itā€™s Hostel Veronique and he said yes. I asked whether the call bell is not working. He said maybe he was busy with another guest. He then confront me saying ā€˜how long have you waited? 3 hours?ā€™ Have no signs of apology whatsoever. After we checked in we realise heā€™s just generally not in the apartment as we wanted to ask him something but had to go through the building to search for him again šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø the check in process was rather annoying. He kept flipping through my passport looking for an European stamp and he accused me of illegal entry because he couldnā€™t find the stamp. Then he was giving us hard time and asked us for the credit card used to book the stay. My friend booked the accommodations on my behave and he didnā€™t come with us. We tried to explain to him but he insisted and asked us to pay in cash again despite we have paid for our booking in full online. The room is just awful. Florence has very humid weather but thereā€™s no aircon or fans in the room. The room was just so stuffy we barely had 2 hours sleep. We ended up having to leave early and book for another place to stay because this place is not suitable for human living at all.

Great location, very near to all the sights you'd want to see in Florence, for a reasonable price. The rooms look a bit old and dingy. Bathroom is clean but you'll want to bring your own towel.

Just bad. I would skip this place despite it having a good location. It gets loud in the square close by so it can be difficult to get sleep. The rooms have zero noise insulation so I could hear someone watching a movie for most of the night.
