Drom Florence was an absolute dream place to stay. It is superbly located in a lovely neighbourhood with an easy 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. We stayed in the Gattolino Superior Double Room which was great, very clean, well decorated and comfortable. I genuinely don't think I've slept so well in all my life. Claudia was amazing, very friendly and easy to contact. We didn't actually realise we had breakfast included when we booked but this was a lovely suprise! Sitting outside with a very generous breakfast of croissants, toast, fruit, tea and juice made the mornings really special and a great way to start the day. This was one of the most memorable stays I've ever had - I would love to return. You must stay here.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! BED BUGS We booked for a two night stay in May ‘23. On our first night we were woken by being bitten on our legs under the covers and on inspection found BED BUGS! The worst thing to discover in your hotel. We looked around the bed and mattress found about 5 bugs of different sizes which means there is a considerable infestation. The next day we moved to an air bnb with a washing machine so we could sort our clothes out and hopefully not take them home with us. The worst part was the way Claudia dealt with it. She acted like it was unbelievable, insinuated that we were making it up, asked to see photographs, wanted us to show photos of the bites. When I sent her a picture of a bed bug from our bed she said she couldn’t tell if it was in her place or not. She didn’t apologise or offer a refund. We have asked multiple times for a refund for the second night but she has just ignored our messages. Bed bugs are probably unavoidable when running a hotel or bnb but you should be able to handle the situation with some grace and at the very least offer an apology and a refund!

The place, the experience and most importantly the host was exactly the opposite of the reviews. To begin with, our host did not inform us of the ongoing taxi strike even though I had asked her multiple times about getting to her place. We had 5 bags and we had to walk all the way 2kms in hot summer weather. We had traveled 9 hours from southern Italy with multiple delayed bus and train schedules, host seemed to have 0 sympathy bone for that. She wanted our passport pictures for ID which is pretty standard in any airbnb or hotel. I had told her I would send it over to her as soon as we settle in and freshen up, but no she could not and would not wait for 5 long minutes. I was just having the first meal of my day at 9pm and she comes knocking on the door for the ID pictures, at which point I send her mine and tell her I would send my partner’s ID proof as soon as he is out of the bathroom. But no, she wants me to drag my husband out of the bathroom for her to get his ID proof. We are vegetarians and have dietary restrictions, we had ordered food from Uber eats asking permission of the host, the food arrived probably 20 mins before we did - so we kindly requested Claudia if she could collect the food. But alas no, that was out of the job description for our dear host. We asked for some cutlery to eat our food, which was again given to us reluctantly like we were asking for the biggest favor. And there is a note on the listing which says check in is available 24 hours a day, and we arriving at 8:45pm was a big problem for our host. Coming to the place itself, it wasn’t the greatest of the places for the money paid. There are a lot of mosquitos and ants. We are in a better airbnb today which is a good locality, right by the bunny bridge and much better host, and guess what for a cheaper price than Claudia’s. The whole experience left a very negative taste of the place and we felt very racially discriminated to say the least. Would never recommend it to anyone! You are better elsewhere

Wow! The reviews don’t lie! Claudia was an extremely great host, very helpful, quick with responses, and very friendly! She noticed I made an error in booking the Serumido room only when I wished to have the entire apartment and she corrected it before we even arrived! She kept in touch long before our vacation started to answer any questions we might have prior to arrival and it was helpful to be in touch with her when our flight was delayed as we knew she would still check in after hours, but for and extra fee as stated on the website, luckily we were only delayed an hour and still arrived during regular check in. We also hadn’t known about the taxi strike when we arrived mid-July, however it was easy to take the tram to the train station and walk the rest of the way. Upon arrival Claudia welcomed us into the apartment and showed us everything in the space and how to use it, there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, stove, all the kitchen essentials, air conditioning, a small safe, TVs, hair dryer, literally everything down to the soaps and even a map of Florence! She even stocks a mini fridge in the room with some drinks (for a charge) which is very handy. She also provided us with a welcome gift of pasta, sauce, breadsticks, water, coffee and a small bottle of wine! Her service was above and beyond and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner works well, which is absolutely needed in July weather! She also has a small bug repellent plug in the room so we had zero issues with any mosquitoes or bugs. I also really appreciated her help with circling some great nearby restaurants and grocery stores on the map she provided us! Thank you Claudia for a wonderful stay!!!

The rooms were fine. location is just too far from the center. there is a strange door in the room that is locked, but gives access to the owner's space. doesn't feel safe. owner sent voice messages during our stay that the room was too messy because there were clothes on the floor... zero privacy.

Claudia and Antonio go above and beyond in taking care of their guests. We arrived late to Florence and received detailed check in instructions ahead of time to accommodate our arrival time. There was an option to store our luggage after checkout. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The room is clean, comfortable and located in a quiet courtyard in a more local area of Florence that is still within walking distance of most attractions. We would happily stay here again!

The apartments in Drom Florence were a respite in what can be a chaotic and beautiful city. The rooms are very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Great area. Quiet courtyard. Very convenient, but outside the busy centre. Highly recommend this BnB. The host was super friendly and helpful

This place is a gem, for sure. The location is outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, in the Oltrarno. The surrounding streets are beautiful and the rooms are well furnished. We really appreciated the closed courtyard and automatic gate opener. There are great restaurants nearby, and it’s a short walk to the heart of the city. I don’t have any recommendations for them, it was a great experience.
