Ville Sull'arno is a Ritz-like hotel just south of downtown Florence. I chose this place because I didn't want to be in the middle of a huge tourist like center of Florence. Plus it had a pool, a spa, and a restaurant. This is a very nice property with maybe 20 to 30 rooms maximum. The spa is in the basement and is small, but it has a warm pool, an area for massages, a what sauna and a dry sauna, and a few little areas for just relaxing. They also have a small locker for women and for men. The restaurant I would consider upscale. The pool is small but adequate. They run a shuttle at various times of the morning and then again in the afternoon and evening. They will shuttle you to the middle of Florence and pick you up at schedule times. That's right on the banks of the Arno River and a quiet and serene setting. They also rent bicycles if you want to bike to the middle of town. There are bikes and scooters for rent in and around Florence, depending on the crowd you might have trouble finding one. The breakfast is a little pricey at around 20 to $25 per person but it's a very thorough and complete breakfast including everything that you could possibly want, bacon and eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, chocolate croissants, chocolate muffins, all different kinds of juices, champagne for mimosas, yum! Definitely give this a try if you're looking for something a little more upscale outside of the chaos of Florence.

We had an overall nice stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Arno. The breakfast buffet offered many options, I only wish there was a bigger variety of fruit. The spa area is quite small, with two small saunas, 2 showers, a relaxation area and a hydro massage pool; but it was still very enjoyable. The fitness area only has three cardio machines, which we found a little disappointing. I don’t understand why we were only allowed to use both areas for an hour daily. The biggest downturn of this hotel is its location. It is located right next to a large, busy street which is 40 minutes away from the city center by foot. They offer a pick-up and drop-off shuttle service, but the times are very limited. We mostly used an e-scooter to get around, as the last pick-up time is around 7pm – which is quite early if you’re looking to have some nice dinner in the city before coming back to the hotel. We had a car, but parking inside the city as a tourist is an absolute nightmare, so beware. Besides, the hotel charged us a whopping 25 euros per day for parking there, which we also found extremely nonsensical. This kind of service should be free for guests, especially in such a nice hotel.

We booked this place for 3 nights in july/august. Nice pool, friendly service, good location (5 min from centre with the bike) Breakfast could be a little more elaborate for this price (it was maybe different due to covid?). Tesla destination charging available for 10€ per charge. I would recommend to ask for the room with view on the Arno.

The hotel is located right alongside the Arno, and is a 20 minute walk from the central district. Beautiful building, modern amenities, and the staff are incredibly gracious and helpful.

Excellent staff, kind and helpful with all questions. Rooms were clean and classy. 25 minutes from city centre but shuttle offered throughout the day at certain times. Would be helpful to include an airport shuttle with hotel pricing. Breakfast was an extra cost, good selection. We ate dinner once at the restaurant and was delayed. They tried to serve us a large seafood platter that we never ordered. Had steak and risotto, that took over an hour to get to the table. The food was good but service needs improvement. Pools (indoor and outdoor) were lovely and the massage was very relaxing. Overall, a great stay but the restaurant needs improvements. Would recommend eating at local trattorias instead.

It's a beautiful hotel, but very close to the road and not as peaceful inside, or outside, as the marketing would have you believe. Our room was small, tired and noisy. The main pool area and restaurant are lovely, staff are excellent and the food is delicious.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. The staff were quite friendly and the hotel was well maintained and in a quiet spot by the river outside of the city center. The on-site bar and restaurant are nice and decently priced for a 5-star hotel, but I wouldn't make a special trip to either if I wasn't staying here. Our biggest complaint was around the shuttle service to the city center. The website says that "A free shuttle is also always available and it will lead directly to the city center" which really isn't an accurate statement. The shuttle runs 4 times in the morning and 4 times in the afternoon, with a capacity of 8 seats per trip. The times in the morning ended a bit too soon for us, who admittedly like to sleep in a bit and ended too early in the evening, with no times available for an after dinner return. The walk to the city center isn't awful, 20-40 mins depending on where you are doing, but after 2-3 days of doing that, it gets tedious. Taxis are always available, but at 15 euro or so per trip, not ideal. Otherwise the rooms were a pleasant surprise, updated and spacious; though the A/C was really struggling to keep the room cool and it wasn't even that warm out yet. The rooms were also fairly noisy, with a lot of noise coming from the room below (might have been the kitchen for the restaurant). I am certainly glad we always travel with earplugs. The pool was nice and certainly large enough for the small hotel. We'd certainly go back for another stay, but would likely try a few other hotels first.

This place, to us, was all about the basement bathhouse. Steam, sauna, and wading pool, all in what is loosely Moroccan style, make for a great way to end a cold winter day of walking around Florence. Restaurant was good. Service was sufficient, yet clearly lacking warmth. Some rooms are over-exposed to road noise. It was a decent choice, although next time we'll go with a more elegant hotel closer to the heart of the city. Relying on their hotel shuttle was less that ideal. (Picture of river was from our room)

This was an incredible place to stay!! The service was outstanding. The hotel itself was beautiful and filled with quality. The restraunt was beautiful, with delicious, well presented dishes. The shuttle service was professional and kind. We felt very well taken care of while staying at Ville Sull'Arno.

We had a kind of disappointing experience from this Hotel. Yes, it has all what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Good appearance, large rooms with amazing view, nice breakfast and helpful team. However, for us (and maybe it was specifically in our room) the air conditioner was very noise, and we could hear all night the people in the room abive us, walking and moving stuff, all which prevented us from havin a good experience. Also, people with (barking) dogs were allowed.

Most beautiful hotel ever, from the staff to the presentation of the room, everything was perfect… super classy hotel with an underground spa and pool that has a medieval look. Stunning! We can’t wait to come back here

The room was nice and spacious, with a tranquil outlook of the river. The pool was relaxing and the staff at the pool attended to my every need. Slightly far from the city, but peaceful in that way. Shuttles to the heart of the city come often. Overall great experience

This is a wonderful hotel right on the river. They have bikes you can use to get to the historic downtown area. Close to street shopping and the Michaelangelo plaza. The hotel staff is top notch and the spa amenities are wonderful. I hope up come back some day and recommend this place highly.

Definitely the perfect hotel for a stay in Firenze! Impeccable service, amazing food, great wine and super private surroundings. Could’ve been a better gym for strength training.

Sadly we were not able to stay at this hotel due to our flight being cancelled by BA on the morning we were due to travel. The hotel were very understanding and deserve to be acknowledged with gratitude. We hope to stay here soon as it looks wonderful.

This hotel is a dream! The rooms are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there is a shuttle that takes you to the center of town if you’re not up for the beautiful walk along the river. The pool is a refreshing oasis away from the city. The only improvement would be to extend the pool hours (currently only open 10am-7pm).

Every inch of this hotel is stunning! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the visit was so dreamy. The service, room design, amenities, spa, location, cleanliness and more were way above our expectations. They even upgraded our room and left us a sweet note, Prosecco and strawberries to celebrate our wedding. This is a magical spot in Florence and we are so excited to stay here again!!

This hotel is ideally located on the banks of the Arno River. It’s a nice quiet part of Florence and the view from your hotel room is very picturesque. It’s a little too far to walk into the city centre but it’s only about 10 euro away by taxi. The staff are all very nice and helpful. What’s particularly interesting is reception can be contacted via WhatsApp which we found very helpful. The only negative thing is our room was right next to a maids storeroom which meant there were noises that unfortunately woke us up at times (trolleys moving, stuff being dropped, storeroom door being shut loudly etc), but even with that noise I would still come back because of the staff and the location. Special thanks to Julia who made a great effort when we arrived.

This is beautiful and romantic hotel. With attentive and wonderful staff, Noemi and Niccolo help us very much with our questions. We enjoyed the restaurant and the beautiful pool. The shuttle was great. We enjoyed six days at this magical place.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! Upon check in, we informed the hotel staff that we were visiting on our honeymoon. Shortly after we got to our room, they delivered a large bottle of champagne for us which was a sweet surprise. We went to explore and all the staff was so friendly! The restaurant on site was great, the breakfast/lunch/dinner menus were so tasty. The spa downstairs was perfect! I booked a massage and a facial and there was plenty of availability. The therapists were great and did a wonderful job. I spent at least 2 hours every day in the hydropool/steam room/sauna, and it the outdoor pool. It was incredibly relaxing! Two of the days we did day trips to Tuscany, and the hotel provided us with portable chargers and portable WiFi routers so we were all set for the trips! They definitely take their customer experience seriously and we really appreciated it. The only thing was this hotel is a little further away from the main city center, but we think that was the best part. It was a 15 minute taxi into the city, which was pretty crowded. So the relaxed feel was perfect! Highly recommend!

Great hotel on Lungarno at short distance from Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Pick one of the hotel bikes and explore Firenze!
