Lovely
hotel
with
a
really
good
breakfast.
The
barman,
Vincenzo,
was
particularly
attentive
and
very
entertaining.
Lovely
atmosphere,
was
nice
to
chat
to
other
guests.
Hotel
is
undergoing
a
little
bit
of
renovation
but
nothing
too
disruptive.
Beer
is
a
tad
expensive,
but
that’s
normal
for
a
hotel
bar.
Wine
is
cheap
compared
to
in
the
UK,
though!
We
had
an
exceptionally
large
room
in
the
“Scuderia”
section
of
the
hotel.
The
bed
was
very
comfortable.
Slight
issue
with
mosquitoes
and
I
was
bitten
a
lot,
but
that’s
not
exactly
the
hotel’s
fault.
The
air
con
in
our
room
didn’t
seem
to
work,
but
I’m
not
going
to
deduct
a
star
for
that
as
I
didn’t
bring
it
up
with
the
hotel
staff.
If
I
were
to
offer
some
advice
to
make
the
stay
even
better,
they
could
include
some
net
curtains
to
keep
the
mosquitoes
out
when
the
windows
are
open.
A
kettle
or
small
coffee
machine
would
be
nice
in
the
room
too,
which
is
standard
in
most
other
hotels.
But
again,
by
no
means
a
dealbreaker.
The
garden
is
lovely
and
very
serene.
It’s
a
big
space
with
lots
of
plants
and
small
trees,
good
coverage
from
the
sun
but
also
some
exposed
places
if
you
want
to
catch
those
rays.
You
can’t
even
tell
you’re
a
stones
throw
away
from
the
busy
centre
of
Florence.
Some
people
have
said
that
the
entrance
to
the
hotel,
being
on
a
narrow
street,
is
a
bit
dingy.
We
didn’t
feel
in
any
way
unsafe
though,
and
it
was
very
clean
outside.
Florence
is
a
city
built
primarily
in
the
medieval
period,
so
it’s
not
really
the
hotel’s
fault
that
it’s
down
a
narrow
street.
The
street
itself
is
typical
of
hundreds
of
others
in
Florence.
In
summary:
big,
comfortable
room.
Vincenzo
the
barman
is
a
star.
Breakfast
is
fantastic.
Could
do
with
the
air
con
working
properly
in
the
room.
Some
netting
to
pull
over
the
windows
to
prevent
mosquito
ingress
would
be
great.
I’d
happily
stay
there
again
if
I
come
back
to
Florence.
