The best hotel in Florence The staff: We had the most wonderful experience at this hotel. All the staff speak excellent English, make you feel very welcome, and the service was spectacular. The location: The hotel is very close to the train station (5 minute walk) and is very easy to find. Close to everything we wanted to see and right on the Arno river. The Room: The room we had was gorgeous and large (not just by Italian standards). Almost a private wing with high ceilings, foyer, classic authentic feel, wonderful air conditioning, very clean, and a bathroom with everything you could ever need. Thank you to all the staff for making this an absolutely superb experience.

We had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional. Our room was very clean with a view of the Arno river. The air conditioning and wifi were great. We slept well. This hotel is close enough to the Santa Maria Novella train station to walk with your bags but far enough from the hubbub. It’s within walking distance of the ponte vecchio covered bridge in Florence and some of the sites. There are many restaurants nearby including non-Italian restaurants if you tire of Tuscan food. The breakfast was truly a highlight with great variety and fresh items for everyone. I particularly liked that there was warm and cold milk. I would definitely return.

Excellent value hotel in a great location close to the Arno and shopping/cultural must-dos. Great, friendly, service-oriented staff, clean, well maintained. Breakfast buffet was worth getting up for! An older world charm. Sacrilegious I know by Italian standards, but at last a hotel in Italy that serves Americano coffee in *mugs*! Worth a stay. I will be back. Rooms might be a bit small for some, and could do with more power outlets, but that's minor overall for me.

My favorite hotel in Florence. Very clean and staff is very attentive. The breakfast is amazing with fresh pastries, fresh fruit, eggs and breakfast meats. Italian meats and cheeses. Coffee/espresso. Fresh juices and so much more. The rooms are very elegantly appointed and the location is very convenient and walkable.

I had reserved 2 nights in the Presidential Suite. Upon hotel arrival, the reception was cold and the worker appeared bothered. I found this interesting. Next, we were shown to the suite. Within thirty minutes, we observed ants on the bed and on the floor. I at first found this unfortunate. More ants were found. I began to look over the room; an open beer bottle was found outside the window. Clearly the room wasn't cleaned well. The bed sheets were stained and dust was seen in various parts of the room. My son began stomping ants, counting 18 or 19. We went to the front desk. The same intake worker said all they could do is clean the room again. Staff was asked if they had ant traps or another repellent. They arrogantly said no, appearing as if they never heard of an ant trap at which point I showed staff a google image of a trap to elaborate their close-mindedness. Two staff members came to our suite. Staff stated they only saw 1 ant, trying to downplay it all. At this time, the room was warm, the thermostat was on 26-27 Celsius. We decided to change rooms; the new suite was in the attic and the room temperature was the same. Temperature would not cool down and we were given an electrical fan. I cant elaborate further because of limited typing space. I was not asked about my stay by staff as I checked out. No surprise there. I was in Italy 2 weeks and stayed in hotels in Venice, Bologna, Florence and Rome. This was by far the worst experience of them all.

We had a lovely stay here. There hotel is updated and well taken care of. It was a 7 minute walk from the train station in a more quiet area of the city. The rooms were small but clean and amenable. Breakfast was good too. There were some good restaurants nearby as well.

The staff has been great. The rooms are clean and the shower is wonderful! The beds are comfy. It's been the perfect location for us to walk to everything we wanted to see and everything we wanted to eat. We're traveling by train and the hotel is a perfect location that is a quick, easy walk with our bags while also getting out of the busy, somewhat sketchy area of the large train station.

Beautiful hotel with lovely clean rooms and amazing friendly staff! Everyone was happy to help and made us feel really welcomed. The breaker was delicious with so many options and the rooms were clean, fresh and very spacious! Could not recommend any more for your stay in Florence, wonderful stay!

I recently stayed here with my wife for a few nights. Its a nice enough place but the bed and pillow were not every comfortable. Breakfast was good and the location was within walking distance to all the sights. We did not have much interaction with the staff (just check in and out).

The hotel is in a very good location, 5-10 minutes walk from all the main attractions. A beautiful old building. Inside, the rooms are decorated in accordance with the style of the building. Housekeeping, cleanliness, service in the lobby bar was excellent. Breakfast was good, but a little lacking in vegetables. The staff is responsive, they responded quickly to all our requests, and they also helped us book tickets to the Uffizi Gallery. We consider it ideal in terms of price/quality ratio.

Excellent 4 star hotel close to the station and the river. Building is old style and we appreciated. Very comfy and cozy lobby with comfortable sofas. The room are clean and have all that is needed. We appreciated the breakfast with very good variety and in particular the bread and bakery (croissant). The location is very nice, it's a short walk (5-10 min) from Santa Maria Novella train station, you basically exit the station on the right side (coming out from the train), i.e. the west side, then cross the tramline, walk right and then left, straight on. The hotel is near the Arno river and we enjoyed - before coming back to the hotel at the end of the day - to walk to the river bank and watch the people walking and the landscape. Definitively recommended and we would come back!

The staff were very attentive and polite, rooms were beautiful and well-maintained, all of the hotel is cleaned with exceptional attention to detail and the location is very good, close to the city center yet in a quiet neighbourhood.

very good location and close to train station and all attractions. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind it is difficult to find a car parking if you have car, so I reserved a car and picked it up when I check out, there is many car renting offices just across the street.

Overall, our stay was very solid. Good location near train station and a moderate walk into town. Their service was very solid and we enjoyed spacious rooms. My suggestions to management/things to keep in mind: a) the rooms were pretty hot, the A/C only works if you're in room. Our thermostat did not seem to match the actual temperature of room. I dont think rooms get below 75F degrees. b) the breakfast was very solid, but I wouldn't say amazing. Plenty of fruit/pastry options but don't expect heavier dishes like omelets, fresh eggs, etc. c) The hotel is probably a 15-20 minute walk from major sites in Florence. Not bad at all, but you may think its closer based on map. We didn't find any top notch restaurants near hotel either. d) I dont understand their mask policy. All the employees wore them 100% of time and they have frequent messaging that guests should wear any time out of room and inside building. However, less than half of guests wore them and no one seemed to care (I certainly had no interest in wearing masks so this was great, but don't understand their hypocritical messaging).

We had a fantastic experience. Ricardo Cacillo manager was incredible! I watched as he quickly went around desk to help his customers. He was so observant in your needs before you asked. They gave wine and free snacks in the evening. Along with cookies and hot tea that was made available. They accommodated us in changing our room with no additional cost or attitude. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The walls keep silence in and noise out of rooms. We were very happy with our stay Great location (near the river). It's not too far from the heart of the city and it's not too close to where it is very noisy etc. Very ideal! Highly recommend this hotel! I would certainly return here again if re-visiting Florence.

The hotel has 4 stars but it’s a bit disappointing. The rooms are small and the building is old, you need to pay for half a liter bottle of water more than 2 euro and that is just unacceptable for a 4 star hotel, especially in Italy where the water is quite cheap. The breakfast is ok but little offering. There is no possibility to order cooked food as room service. The staff was quite friendly, the internet was ok and it’s well located so that evens out things a bit .

Very nice place from which you can quickly reach every corner of Florence. 10 minutes from the city center. Very helpful and friendly service. Well-maintained and functional rooms. There is everything you need when you want to explore this wonderful city, so it's worth stopping here.

My 18 year old daughter thought this was a great place to stay. Short walking distance to bus, train and trams. Walking distance to heart of town. Breakfast had lots to choose from. Loved our room. Room service is a good price + cafe across the road and resturants only minutes to walk to. Bar in the hotel. We would stay again.

What a wonderful stay! We were here in the beautiful Florence for 2 nights and couldn’t have been happier with the hotel. Rooms are classy and quite spacious, which was a welcoming change compared to Venice/Rome. Breakfast was included in our rate and was phenomenal; although mostly your usual suspects with scrambled eggs, bacon, pastry, etc, food quality was excellent. Interestingly we got to have the best Kiwi we’ve had at the hotel breakfast. Hotel staff was friendly and service was prompt. We loved Florence and the hotel was a big part of it!

the hotel is close to the historic center of florence. Nevertheless, it is easy to reach it by car and there is plenty of parking space. Families with children are treated particularly well. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is also very good and included in the price. The hotel manager Riccardo Cacioli is very helpful and has helped us with every concern. Highly Recommended! Big thanks to the entire team from the Hotel Executive! This Hotel made our stay in Firenze to a unforgettable Vacation.

we recently stayed for 1 night in this hotel. it’s a little far from the Florence train station but the room was nice. TV was small and old. however the bathroom was super nice! breakfast was ok, not a lot of choices. the front desk was very friendly. recommend to people who don’t mind extra walk and would like to find a nice and quiet place to sleep.

We adored our stay at this hotel. It felt like staying in an art museum. Our room had a fresco painting on the ceiling and other priceless period pieces that made our stay extra special. Staff were extremely accommodating to our requests. Breakfast spread was great. The only suggestion I have would be to ensure there is no smoking by employees off of the breakfast room area. We are quite sensitive to cigarette smoke when others may not be, but we were somewhat bothered by pretty heavy lingering smell of cigarette smoke off of the breakfast room (there was a door propped open at the kitchen area each morning). It was a minor glitch in our overall stay. I would return here without hesitation.
