We stayed here during winter in December and had an excellent experience. The owner of the B&B contacted us before we arrive and so we had a smooth check-in. The room is clean and spacious, with all you need. Room cleanliness was also maintained throughout our stay. The breakfast is free and good with some fresh ham cut, cheese, fruits, bread, pastry, cereals and beverages. Apart from that, the heater and water heater were working well. Location is also close fo most attractions and there are chinese food options near to the hotel. In my opinion, a good stay. :)

I booked the hotel for my parents, they arrived late when the reception was supposed to be closed . But the lady over the phone kindly agreed to wait for them and do the check in ! It was so helpful! We really appreciated it. And they also arranged a bottle of sparkling wine for my mom’s birthday ☺️ the room was HUGE and extremely beautiful! It was also very warm and well-heated. Delicious breakfast and excellent location! Thanks a lot for an amazing experience!

We had a great stay at Residenza Castiglioni. A little bit of difficulty getting in,because I use a wheelchair and steps were a little higher to overcome. Gladly the owner of this place and his daughter Christina were able to help me with this and they made me a ramp, which we could use and it helped us tremendously. Thank you very much guys!!! For everything else: It is a perfect location very close to everything. All the restaurants are also right at your door. Room was very very spacious and easily accessible for the wheelchair. This was the most beautiful room on all of our long European cities (including cities in Italy). As soon as you enter the room you get the impression - you'll be the king and queen for as long as you stay and it did make us feel this way. Huge bed, large windows and high ceilings with antique decorations!!! We really enjoyed our stay!!! Hosts were very welcoming and willing to help with everything!!! Thank you for this great experience and have a lovely day!!!

This was a great stay for me and my husband while we were in Florence. Breakfast was free daily and it’s about a 2-3 minute walk to the Duomo and Cathedral. The room is a bit older, more antique like and the bed was very firm but otherwise, great stay for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful with instructions on how to get around.

Excellent location, decent breakfast. But our room was extremely noisy, during the night you could hear the restaurants tiding up dishes and cutlery (all the windows were closed), and also very early in the morning the breakfast being prepared. Air conditioning was very low (not cold enough) and very noisy too.

Excellent service and location. The place was over our expectations. Breakfast was great. The room was exactly like the pictures, big, clean and with everything you need. You have your own private bathroom which is also big. Our time here was great. Definitely we recommend it if you want to visit Florence. 🥰

Quaint old building, (built around its own, traditional, internal garden square) right in the centre of Florence. Conveniently close to the railway station and most major attractions. (Unsurprisingly, spoilt for choice of restaurants and bars, near and far!) Comfortable room, good breakfast; friendly, helpful management/ staff.

A central b&b in Florence with easy access to the city centre and all the main attractions. My rating is low because the rooms are extremely small (monk-like) and the price is high. I understand that we are in the city centre but this is taking advantage.

What a wonderful spot to stay in Florence. We booked a triple room and it was huge. Great breakfast to get you started in the morning. Convenient location for the train and for sight seeing. Lots of great restaurants on the same street.

We have had a lovely stay here. An immaculately clean, bright and airy room - a genuine oasis in the heatwave.

We LOVED the room and the view and the location. Venice is a wonderful city and Stefano was a wonderful host! We loved everything about our stay in Venice and this hotel. Except the unexpected flooding of the city, but that’s unavoidable.

Terrible. Start at your own risk. First night of my stay, water heater stopped working when I was taking a shower. There's no receptionist at the hotel at night. I tried calling the reception from room, someone picked up but told me they can only fix it the next day. It is winter, 9 degree, freezing cold and I was not able to finish my shower. I explained my situation and sought help. The person hung up on me without offering a solution. The heater in the room also stopped working after 12am. The heater at the basin is not working too, no hot water. Room is old and dark, not enough lighting. It's facing the road, can hear sound of vehicles and people talking.

Excellent location and service, thanks Christine. very decent breakfast, cappuccino and croissant was amazing. Room was big with high ceiling and like 18s decorated. Very clean, shower was nice. I didn’t know they come and clean the room, so when we came back from outside were surprised.

We spent 4 nights at Residenza Castiglioni in late August and had a fantastic time. We had a family of four, two adults and two children and the room we had was very spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. The room looked even better than the photos posted on the website. The location was perfectly located for all of the main sites to see around Florence and there were may restaurants within walking distance. One point to note is that the street numbers start again with each new block which initially confused us when we walked from the train station. The breakfast offered was fresh and perfect for our family with something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again when next in Florence.

Step off the train at Santa Maria Novella and into the Renaissance city of Florence. A short walk will take you to Via del Giglio. There you will find Residenza Castiglioni. The imposing doors are of another era and beckon you to enter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed. A lovely breakfast sets you up for the day. Residenza Castiglioni is within walking distance of the tourist attractions. It is spotlessly clean. I would hope to stay there again - we had originally booked our stay for 2020 but were unable to travel due to Covid19 restrictions. Our booking was deferred without any difficulty. Would highly recommend.

Great location near all the sights and only seven minutes walk to railway station. Watch out for mosquitos!

Amazing stay; comfort and peaceful atmosphere, as well as beautiful renaissance style of the room will surely get under your skin! Staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to share recommendations on travelling around and out of Florence and provided simple yet rich breakfast with everything you need for your day exploring. Location was excellent, super central and close to all sites we wanted to visit. Thank you for your hospitality, we loved it here!

Stayed here for 4 nights in the suite. This is such a nice place in the middle of everywhere. Originally booked the double, but then saw we could get the suite for 15 euro more. Well worth it and we did. Staff was very nice and attentive. Just next door is a fantastic restaurant called La Madia. Food is great and will be hard pressed to find better service.

Very close to all important attractions. Good breakfast. Large room and bathroom with good Aircon (although we went in October and didn't need it).
