We had a lovely stay in Villa Campolungo in July. The rooms are spacious and equipped with AC, a modern bathroom and comfortable big beds. Really liked that the original and authentic style and architecture was maintained, and you can see the materials and furniture are of great quality. Big breakfast with both sweet and savoury options, including fresh local cheeses and cakes. All produce is organic and from local places (or their own garden!) which is really nice and shows a good focus on sustainability and quality. Lovely hosts and a terrace with a beautiful view on Fiesole. Close to drive to Fiesole or Florence but outside of the business and heat of the city. Highly recommend!

What to say, Villa di Campolungo is a fantastic spot in the heart of the Tuscan countryside of Mugello. Nested on a hill, the villa is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. From the property you have a stunning view of Fiesole and it’s also located very close to Florence. Our stay was the most comfortable, the room was light and spacious, extremely clean and I appreciated the sustainability awareness. In addition, everything is locally sourced and environmentally friendly. Finally, Silvia is a great host and will give you the best tips for exploring the surroundings! Absolutely recommended! Sooo sorry for the long overdue review!! I think I was on cloud nine for quite awhile after leaving Italy ;) We stayed at this marvelous villa for 3 nights in Fiesole, in the hills of Tuscany, in September of 2014. The proprietor, Silvia, was a fabulous host, so warm and friendly, and our room was superb. The bed was sooo comfortable, and the breakfast she provided was plentiful and delicious. I often look through my travel photos from this amazing trip, and remember this stay fondly. We visited Florence twice, and traveled over to Pisa one day. Villa di Campolungo is a serene, quiet place to totally relax with a glass of wine, and take in the breathtaking views of olive groves in the Tuscan hills. It was truly a delight and highlight of our entire trip. We miss Italy and hope to come back to visit you Silvia :)

Outstanding location, hospitality, food, mind blowing views. Very spacy rooms. Typical Tuscany style architecture. The breakfast is super delicious with fresh home baked bread each morning. The cultural service from Eric is better than any Tourguides. The perfect place to experience Tuscany and visit Florence. One of the best places of this kind we've ever experienced.

Enchanting stay at Villa Di Campolungo. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and clean. Very comfortable bed. Property and views are magical. Delicious breakfast. The hosts Eric and Silvia are very gracious. We can’t wait for our next visit.

We had an excellent two night stay on the farm. Super tasty local produce for breakfast a very friendly and helpful host. Spending the evening on the terrace with a glass of red watching the sun go down with superb views of the Tuscany landscape was the highlight. The rooms are large and have comfortable beds and large, clean modern bathrooms.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Italy in September 2017. We had a LOVELY stay at Villa Campolungo!!!! It felt so romantic and slightly secluded. We loved that they were eco-friendly with up-to-date amenities, and run by such a lovely family. Florence and Fiesole are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from this lovely little villa. The road up to the villa was slightly rough when we were there but hopefully the issues were worked out with the localities. :) Owners: They were so friendly and welcoming, we had such nice conversations with them. Both knew several languages and were engaging but not intrusive. Amenities: Top notch and up to date. Lovely olive oil soaps to use. Can purchase their organic olive oil and wines on site. Room: We stayed in the L'Orciaia room, it was HUGE and comfortable. Everything we could want or need. Breakfast: PHENOMENAL. Made fresh every day. Fresh salads, local meats and cheeses and spreads, bread, granola. Delicious coffee as well! Enjoy on the terrace in the nice weather and just drink it all in! Cooking Class: We did a cooking class with Silvia with another couple and it was SO Much fun! We learned so much and the food was astoundingly delicious. I still use the recipes to this day (although of course, I do not have Silvia's magic touch). It was a HUGE meal so come hungry!!! Olive Oil: Organic, slightly spicey olive oil. We bought so much to give to our family and friends and they also thought it was delicious. Its best drizzled on food!

A beautiful Tuscan estate just a 10min drive from downtown Florence. My girlfriend and I originally chose to stay here to get a break from the busy London city life and have a chance to visit the surroundings. The estate itself is beautiful, like out of a movie. Everywhere you look there’s a sense of perfect harmony between man and nature... Hills upon hills of luscious, tall trees intertwined with a patchwork of olive tree fields, dotted with rustic Tuscan villas. The staff and owners are lovely, extremely polite, and always at hand to help with anything you need. As a coffee fanatic, I was ecstatic to be served coffee every morning with a professional tier Rocket Espresso machine. The room was enormous, always a good place to rest after a busy day and before going into Florence for dinner or an aperitivo. Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, and worked well (not always the case in more rural establishments). From the bed to the sheets and towels, I can say this had nothing to envy from a Four Seasons! Then there’s the location at the heart of Florence. In just a few days, we were able to visit Fiesole, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Modena. Again, the staff were always at hand to recommend places and help us make reservations in Italian. We’d highly recommend booking a visit to a Chianti vineyard, and an aceteria in Modena to see how REAL balsamic vinegar is made (it’s completely different to anything you find in supermarkets, aged for at least 12 years). Don’t hesitate to take their guidance!
