If I could give it 6 stars I would. If you want to have a great time while learning how to make some delicious Italian food you have to come here. Everything was outstanding and it's from their farm or locally sourced. It's also a restaurant so you can have lunch only if you don't want to do the cooking class. I definitely recommend it.

Loved our experience here! Beautiful view of the Tuscan hills, a very warm welcoming by Marta and the staff and the menu was to perfection. Absolutely delicious. Everything sourced locally or on-site and the gardens are right there to see! Worth the visit and would highly recommend as a must if you’re nearby.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We took the cooking class with Alessandro, and it was amazing! He’s a really great teacher, he’s funny and entertaining and makes everyone feel welcomed. He also explains where the food comes from, the importance of each ingredient and the different techniques. We ate the food we prepared in the terrace with everyone else, enjoyed plenty of wine and great conversations. Highly highly recommend this place. 🌟 🌟🌟

We just loved the cooking school experience with Alessandro! This was much more than a cooking school, though. Alessandro told us about the three siblings’ dream of a family business, their acquisition of a run down property, and restoring it. Then we toured the garden where he told us about vegetables they grow as well as wild ones found around the property. The cooking school itself was very entertaining, making pasta, a pork, and tiramisu. Then we had lunch outside with beautiful views and ate our own prepared dishes. Overall a highlight from our trip. In fact, we loved being there so much, we booked a dinner reservation the next night and had an outstanding and intimate dinner in their small dining room. The family and staff really do a great job of making you feel welcome.

Did cooking class with Alessandro and it was well worth it. Limited to 10 people per session, it was a great to learn to make some simple pastas and other local dishes, which you then got to eat for lunch! Ale is a great story teller and very entertaining. Great experience and a beautiful location, which has a great story behind it.

The view from the restaurant is amazing, the place would be worth a visit purely because of it. As for the food I didn’t set my expectations too high when I saw how great the view is. Couldn’t been more wrong. If there is anything that could beat the view here, it is the food and the service. One of my best restaurant experiences ever, well deserved 5-star rating.

Oh my gosh - I have been dreaming of this meal since I left Italy 4 weeks ago! It was by far our favorite meal during our 2-week trip. We came for lunch, and everything was so fresh, having come directly from the farm on site. Even the flowers decorating the plates were edible! They change the menu frequently, and we were lucky to have the stracciatella artichoke lemon bruschetta, falafel, pasta with garden vegetables, pork with apples, and berry tart. They only have a few tables so book in advance! We saw several people get turned away who tried to stop by without a reservation. Don't miss this place!

We took a cooking class here, led by Alessandro. It was the highlight of our trip to Tuscany. The education he provided was incredibly informative, the cooking was fun and the recipes that we used at Locanda Demetra were shared. Since we have been home, we have cooked several of the recipes. Although they turned out well, they weren’t as good as when Alessandro was there offering guidance along the way. We loved it and will be back for another session!

my husband & I joined the cooking class. One of our top experiences during our trip. Alessandro was so engaging and and entertaining. We felt like family by the time we sat down to taste our pasta we made. This is a must do!

This is one of the places we don't want to miss whenever we visit the Val d'Orcia: the staff is really friendly, the view is unbeatable, the food is delicious. We love their concept and atmosphere. Reservations recommended! Great place if you are looking for fresh, healthy and tasty food

Best cooking class in Tuscany! Alessandro was amazing, really trying to explain everything from history to the way of cooking. You can see they put their heart and soul into this. Totally worth every penny!
