I'm just going to cut to the chase. This place had some of the best 🥩 I have ever had, ever. I was teleported to the rolling hill farms of Tuscany where these precious animals graze 🐄. Everything else was also delicious except for the 🍞. I find most bread around Florence to be rather tough, but you can't win them all. Thank you Ristorante Hostaria II Desco, for the wonderful gluten free options 🌾🙅, amazing steak, and flowing alcohol going around the restaurant. You have made my experience in Florence better than before we met.

Very nice and authentic restaurant located in the city center. Pleasant atmosphere, absolutely delicious food, great wine selection and very friendly staff. Our best meal in Firenze!! Absolute must-tries: the asparagus flan, homemade pastas and the pistachio cheesecake!

Amazing food and service. Very central and not the typical overpriced food as in every piazza. The spaghetti with clams and the spaghetti with the red wine sauce were absolutely best pasta I have ever eaten. Also the antipasti with stracciatella, tomato and truffle was not to be missed !!

Delicious meal at a very good price! My husband and I each had a starter, a main and a dessert and it was at a good price compared to other places. The tomatoes pasta with burrata, the asparagus soufflé and the pistachio cheesecake are to die for. Be advised that it gets very busy in the evening, so you can only get in with a booking.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent wine selection. Cozy and romantic atmosphere. The veal steak was so amazing, also the boar so exquisite. The apple cake was the best I have ever had. Very pleased with the dinner here. Friendly and attentive staff. (Only thing missing was paper towels in Bathroom through out our 2.5 hour stay)

The gorgonzola gnocchi and zucchini carpaccio appetizer were 5 stars for sure! The bone-in rib eye was more like 4 stars. Still very good with great char and beautifully plated. The mushrooms gave good flavor but we ended up picking around them a bit (they were big squishy things and we were diving into the meat bites. Could have used a little more salt for our taste. The service was just fine: mostly let us just be happy at our table :) The space is cool and location was tucked away but very close to everything!

Amazing everything!!! They have a glueten free menu option as well that my wife enjoyed. We got the 1kil size bone in steak that was the perfect amount for 2 to split. The staff, food, atmosphere, and wine selection was A+. Loved it We will definitely be back!!

A fantastic little gem in the heart of Florence! A very romantic atmosphere and the food was delicious. The food served was very classic to Florence and our waiter was incredibly helpful with the wine selection and also recommended an incredible dessert!

This place is a hidden gem, my wife and I visited three times during our short stay and everything we ate was impeccable 10/10 - both meat dishes and vegetables/porcini mushrooms etc. Donald who served us was a real gentleman and made our meals memorable with his friendly manner and excellent service. Cannot reccommend highly enough. From a picky Londoner..

Honestly the best meal I had during my stay in Florence, would definitely recommend. Every single dish we had was well executed. The roasted lamb with truffle is a dish that will stay in my mind.

Having seen a variety of menus and vegetable soup in front of the entrance, we decided to have lunch there. The interior was pretty and comfortable. Before the staff handed in the menu, he asked if we wanted a gluten-free one. We ordered tomatoes and burrata salad with truffles, traditional Toscana soup, and porcini pasta. I was impressed with a flavourful truffle salad. If I ordered the same menu in Japan, it would cost three times. The soup was full of vegetables and fulfilling. The portion is enough for two people. The pasta was oil-based and had quite a few porcini. We could have healthy and great lunch. The bad thing was they had only one lavatory.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE food and adorable atmosphere! The staff is so kind and the ambiance is so wonderful. We started with the burrata, tomato, and truffle and it was INCREDIBLE! So good and light. Very refreshing. For our entrees we had the ravioli and the tagliolini with Gorgonzola sauce and both were DIVINE! The Gorgonzola pasta was sooo good and creamy and topped with truffles. Highly recommend. Finally, we had the apple cake and chocolate cake. They were also SO good! Truly you can’t go wrong with anything here! Highly recommend.

This was the best meal we had in Florence. The wine was delicious and the starters were gorgeous - my wife had a nice bruschetta and I had excellent carpaccio with truffle, perfectly seasoned with tender meat. The mains were incredible, the wild boar papardelle with good chunks of boar meat was delicious with a rich and meaty sauce. The steak with boar lardo was perfectly cooked to my order. The desserts were sensational, a thoroughly wobbly Panna cotta and a beautifully creamy tiramisu. Our last full meal in Florence and an excellent end to a lovely holiday.

We ordered the Florentine Steak, and it was not the most flavorful one we had during our trip. On the other hand, the pasta was exquisite. We chose the Tortellini Mugellani con Ripieno di Patate Ragu di Manzo alla Vecchia Maniera, a traditional homemade ravioli stuffed with potatoes and served with a beef ragu sauce. It was truly outstanding. However, the service left something to be desired. We experienced significant wait times both for new drinks and to place our orders. The restaurant's temperature was uncomfortably high, even by the warm standards of the area. Despite the presence of a portable AC unit, it struggled to adequately cool the space Our friend has dietary restrictions and requires a gluten-free menu, which this restaurant offers in its entirety. To begin, they provided a gluten-free bread basket, a thoughtful touch. Our friend chose the porcini pasta, and it exceeded her expectations. She thoroughly enjoyed the dish and left her plate impeccably clean.

AIC gluten free accredited, had a lovely meal served with gf bread and gf seperate menu. I had the bacon tomato pasta which was lovely. My father had the gf gnocchi which was tough and firm which was disappointing… however had good flavour. Tiramisu and apple cake for dessert. Would come back

Sensational food and service! If gluten free/coeliac dietary requirements are needed, you will be very well looked after. A separate menu is provided and staff have an excellent understanding of gluten. Service was very prompt and attentive. My gf bread basket was replaced during the meal and staff were very friendly and helpful with food and wine recommendations. The Chianina beef fillet with fresh black truffle and white truffle cheese sauce was spectacular!

Beautiful restaurant/ambiance and the meal was excellent. The staff was gracious and helpful. We had a group of eight, ages 11-75 and everyone loved their meal. My daughter said it was the best pasta she had had in her LIFE! She ordered a second entree, it was so good.

This was a beautiful dinner experience. The ambience is lovely and the waiters are super courteous and attentive. Most importantly the food was top. I had vegetarian gluten free truffle bruschetta and Gorgonzola gnocchi, delicious+perfection. My husband the asparagus flan and porcini pasta as well as their signature dessert. We loved our experience here and highly recommend it. The care and attention for gluten free needs is amazing as well - separate menus and good knowledge/advice etc

Beautiful interior, delicious food and an enjoyable experience. It was very busy when we went and we sat next to the door which pretty much opened every 5 mins. We tried the Florentine steak which was €64 at the minimum size and cost and it was beautiful. We were worried about being too full so we asked to split a pasta dish which they accommodated. It was easy to book a table online via Google and I definitely recommend doing this as the place was booked out and we are at 9pm! The servers were quite busy and not super attentive but polite and helpful. Highly recommended!

hidden gem a little off the beaten path. Great service and delicious food. Restaurant also has many gluten free options. Highly recommend for people who want to enjoy great food without the tourist feeling. Don't forget to make a reservation.

The first experience was so incredible that we went back a second time while we were in Firenze! They have a dedicated gluten-free menu, and the chef absolutely knows what he/she is doing in the kitchen. Best gluten—free pasta I’ve ever had, and we tried a variety of pasta (lasagna, ravioli, pappardelle, chitarra). Don’t miss out on the truffled carpaccio or the truffled steak. Dessert was also just as good as the entire meal. I would give 5/5 stars for service had the second trip had the same outstanding level of service as the first trip. Absolutely worth the trip, especially if you cannot eat gluten and are visiting Florence.

Amazing restaurant with an extensive separate gluten free menu. Absolutely delicious meals, homemade pasta, and unbelievable steak options. Great wine and friendly service makes for an enjoyable evening!
