Cute little restaurant with polite and efficient staff. I ordered a Florentine pizza with ham and mushrooms and it was great. As i couldn't finish it, i also got a packet to take the leftovers home. Reasonably priced for food at least

The pasta was absolutely delicious! The pizza was pretty good too. The staff here are characters and are very friendly. It was a little warm in here, but this was overall a positive experience. It has a great location as well just past the Duomo.

The food is amazing! The Florentine steak is to die for (it's very, very large so be prepared). The wait staff is fantastic and the atmosphere is a nice relaxing street cafe but with a bit more of an upscale italian flare. 10/10!.

If you are in Florence you must visit this Osteria. Good prices for the service and food. Pesto was tasty and with a lot of sauce and spaghetti carbonara too, spaghetti size is a bit bigger than usual and gianciale was delicious. Recommended!

We had a fantastic meal tonight. We ordered too much so had takeaway which we will enjoy tomorrow on a tour. I'm vegetarian and there were plenty of amazing options for me. My boyfriend is an avid meat eater and said his steak was one of the best he's ever had. Highly recommend!

We chose spontaneously to dine in at Osteria del Proconsolo and it didn’t disappoint. We were there to try the Fiorentina steak and it was very yummy. The service was excellent as the provided us the opportunity to have the meat medium rare done. Their hospitality was incredible. I recommend to at least to try it once.

The food was awesome the Paparedelle with wild boar ragu was magnificent. I’d never had it before but it was delicious and the Steak Florentine was fantastic. I give them a high rating on quality food and service. For a special evening with fantastic food it was well worth it! We really enjoyed the service of our server Fiona as well!

Reasonably priced and great steak. I'm still not used to having to flag down a waiter for the check. That's always been by pet peeve back home.

Came here the first day. Having an amazing Tagliata, my friend got Truffle ravioli. The same night we booked a table for the day after. It WAS GREAT. Amazing sauce with ravioli, everything we tasted was amazing And we had a very delicious wine suggested from the waiter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My sisters and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. We travelled to many cities in Italy on our trip & dining at Osteria del Proconsolo was our favorite restaurant! The food and wine were wonderful but the staff were even better! We loved getting to meet Vinny and Benny. If you are in Florence, I recommend eating here. I hope to visit Florence again one day and look forward to eating here again!

Wow. What a great cute place. I’ve researched places to go to “mom & pops” restaurants, and that was exactly it! Such a great restaurant, delicious food and awesome service!!!!!!! Definitely a place to come back to. Authentic Italian food.

Came here for dinner with my wife specifically to get a Florentine steak (bistecca fiorentina). It was a 1.4 kg T-bone steak, probably about 2 inches thick. The waiter brought out the raw steak to show it to me before it was cooked, the color was pure red and it had beautiful marbling. It was cooked extremely rare, essentially with just coarse salt as the seasoning and seared on the outsides to get a nice crust. It was delicious, the meat was very tender and I really liked the big pieces of salt. It wasn’t life-changing, but it was a fun experience! It also came with some greens, so at least there was something healthy on the plate.

Very good truffle pasta : Ravioli with truffle cream is tasty and filled with ricotta & spinach Tagliatelles with fresh truffles have no cream, only grated black truffle Tiramisu is very very good, so creamy and not too sweet (The servers are not very fast, don’t hesitate to ask)

Everything was perfectly okay, the cold cuts platter turned out bigger than we expected so I had to cancel my main dish. Risotto with sea food also decent, the waiter told us it’s frozen so all clear. Warm welcome and service so would recommend. Thanks!

Best place ever. The food is excellent; highlight of the night: parpadelle al ragú di chinghiale (wild boar is DE-LI-CIOUS). Delicious!!! I enjoyed everything. The tortellini with truffle was sooooo yummy. They do speak some English. There is a/c but the doors are opened. There are restrooms in the back. There isn’t free water, they have still or mineral. PS. There is 2.5 euro service charge for each person

Excellent food, excellent service! Our best eating experience so far during our family of five's visit to Rome and Florence. Vinny and the staff create a personal and exciting atmosphere. I'll be back for the steaks... They looked amazing as I saw them come out to other customers!

My wife, Lynn, and I have eaten here twice during our visit to Florence and enjoyed both meals. Today we both chose the strozzapreti osteria (fresh, hand-rolled pasta served with garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, cherry tomatoes, chilli pepper and basil). Previously, we ordered crostini dell’osteria as an appetizer and then a pizza. Both meals were nicely presented and throughly delicious. Yes, it is frequented by tourists because it is only a block from the Duomo but that’s okay. The young woman who warmly greeted us was very professional, friendly and provided excellent service. When you are in Florence and visiting the Duomo definitely consider trying this charming little restaurant. Buon appetito.

Ideal location. Fantastic food. And excellent service! The staff was lively and enthusiastic. It felt like we were eating at someone’s house. Like family. Very authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Florence. 5 Stars!

Went here with my sister and mother. Everything was fantastic. Amazing service, wonderful food and cozy atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend everyone to stop by for dinner here, when in Florence!
