One star is for Nino at the front desk who was a gem. The rest our experience was terrible. We paid over $200/night for a disgusting room. The first night I had to pray that the bugs (likely silverfish) crawling above the ceiling wouldn’t fall onto me while I slept and had to tip toe around the disgusting moldy bathroom where there was nowhere to put your own toiletries asides on the (dirty) ground (they only provided cheap soap packets so don’t go expecting lotion or even conditioner). Their only redeeming quality was the location and complimentary breakfast, I saw people filling up their bottles but got yelled at when I proceeded to fill mine up and called names by the rude lady working the breakfast. They let you fill up a cup first and then you can fill up your bottle but the water would spill everywhere when you poured it…ridiculous. There was also mold all over the bathroom walls and a foul smell coming from the bathroom. Walls were also very very thin and you can hear everything making it difficult to sleep. Showers and floors were gross which made our entire stay uncomfortable. Don’t let the google photos deceive you as they are taken from afar, the room was DIRTY making our entire stay uncomfortable after a long day of travel it was exhausting worrying about bugs falling on me while I slept. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I didn’t think I was picky! Please deal with your very serious black mold infestation in the bathroom!! It has overtaken the entire bathroom and is a serious health hazard.

Great stay, superb proximity to main tourist places, Communicative and pleasant staff Liked · The best part of this place was the location. Staff is very eager and helpful, they really do their job well. Rooms were neat, clean and AC was working well. Any concerns raised was immediately addressed. Breakfast was fine. Disliked · As we do not eat pork or beef we felt lack of chicken as an option in meat or even scrambled eggs at the breakfast. We realise this is more a habit of place then this hotel. We also had to ask for scrambled eggs and did not know those were available too just not put on the breakfast spread.

2 Stars for the location. That’s pretty much the only upside of this location. You’re right in the middle of Florence, and the train station is only about a 15 minute walk away. However, this hotel has some major flaws. First of all, the air conditioning barely works. It’s basically a white noise machine. The wifi was horrendous it barely worked. The bathroom was dully lit, the shower flooded, and the floor was horrendous. The floor was very dirty with hair on it, there were dead bugs on the air conditioning. A bug fell onto my face as I was trying to fall asleep on my last night. I disliked my stay and do not recommend staying here, even with the low prices.

Probably one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in ever. The rooms are small, not the cleanest, bed like a rock, toilet so cramped in the corner good luck. The worst thing is the noise. Our room was situated next to the stairs, lift, and above the entrance. I can honestly say I slept probably 1 hour solid the whole night. Two stars for location and friendly staff the rest was horrible. If your a college backpacker looking for a cheap stay maybe otherwise steer clear.

Albergo Firenze is at the heart of Florence - quite literally. You can reach the main street on foot in a few seconds and all the main attractions in a matter of minutes. Nino on the front reception is fantastic, he makes you feel welcome and at home. Rooms were ok. Not much really needs to be said. It's the location and friendly service you're paying for afterall. We will gladly return.

The location is superb! You have almost everything at walking distance. Even the train station can be reached walking. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was generous as well. The room was spacious and clean, considering it is an old building in the city center and the prices were affordable given the season. The only downside is the room temperature. The A/C is quite old and can't be controlled from the room, or at least we couldn't. The temperature was a bit high considering the heat outside, so it felt like the A/C couldn't cool the room well. We checked the controls in the A/C, but they were at their max capacity to cool, but it wasn't enough for us. Besides that, we definitely recommend this hotel!

If you want to experience the deep atmosphere of Florence without spending too much, you are in the right place! I stayed two nights and I would happily come back. Great, clean, comfortable room on the forth floor overlooking the alley. The staff is extremely cool, friendly and discrete. Thank you!

Had a great stay. The staff were the highlight of the stay. You have to check your key before leaving and all the staff remembered the room number upon returning without me having to remind them. They all speak perfect English and were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and a perfect location.

I would give it 2 if the reviews weren’t already so misleading. Horribly small rooms, bathroom smells terrible, outdated. Shower floods bathroom whenever it runs. Positive: location, friendly staff (not extremely helpful) and ok AC. Not a 3 star hotel. Better off booking the absolute cheapest one you can in the area, there is no redemption from the amentities.

Excellent hotel. This is the best budget hotel in Florence I have ever seen. Very welcoming staff and luxurious bedrooms. Highly recommend 🩷

I was disappointed with level 8,1 in booking! - breakfast was poor, coffee was from machine, not taste - no vegetables and eggs - no repair worksfor a long time in a room - doors in shower cabin was broken, that's why water was out - Holes in the wall in bathroom - Wi-Fi was bad - Poor soundproofing of the room - The staff starts cleaning the floor early, thereby disturbing sleep, because of poor soundproofing

Exceed my expectations as a tourist, they have a luggage storage that they offer for all the guests and upon check out they will allow them to leave your luggage while roaming the city and come back and relax in their reception area.. Hospitality is very good.i will recommend this place.. very nice location staff are friendly and accomodating.

This hotel was one of the worst I stayed at on my 2.5 weeks in Italy. We got a room that is 8' x 12' with 3 beds shoved into it and costs us $1000 for the stay. 1 window in the whole room with the AC under it so we can't close the curtain at night when the lights shine in or we sweat like farm animals. Our bathroom sink is cracked so it leaks like a waterfall when the water is on. They fixed it by putting a drop of silicone in it and said not to fill the sink. I asked for ice so we can fill our 4 water bottles and was given 1 cup and then I was told I can't fill the bottles at the water dispenser. The rolls at breakfast are hard as rocks. There is more but I have a vacation day to enjoy. In the end this hotel isn't worth the money they took from us!

August 2023 Spent a week at the Albergo Firenze. It was wonderful. Friendly, clean, accommodating. The staff Diego, Costanza, Nino, Andrea and Simone were very professional and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good. Great location.

Overall a good hotel. As a solo traveler in my early 20's with very limited knowledge of Italian, I still found the staff friendly, the amenities (free breakfast, simple but comfortable room) pleasant, and the location safe and inviting. The location right in the heart of the city can't be beat. Certainly worth the price.

Best of all is the location and the staff. Very serviceminded, helpful, a lot of tips to make our visit better. Diego was the best! The hotel is old and have some flaws, but remember that is only 3 stars! You get what you pay for. Our room was big enough for two people, the bathroom had bouth shower and bathtub, bidé, hairdryer and bath articles. For the breakfast you could choose cereals with yoghurt or milch, buns, cheese, ham and a very good salami, jam, croissant, cake. You could order scrambled eggs too. As beverage: watter, coffee, tea, pineapple juice, orange juice and another one ( don't remember). So, I don't understand why ather people wrote that they were disappointed!!! At home, I don't have all of that stuff to breakfast!

Front desk staff were friendly and English assistance was available if needed. You had to check your room key into front desk before you left as they still utilize physical keys (not key cards). It was cute and felt like old time days. The rooms were decent size but getting past the bed and wall was a bit tight for larger folk. Only draw back is with high ceilings and being an older building, the noise travels far into the building. Meaning since we travelled as a tour group from a school. I could hear the students in the room beside me as we are on floor 1 but another teacher on floor 3 also heard them and they weren't ridiculously loud but it echos. There was a crying baby for about an hour yet I heard no one trying to comfort it. I heard noise from the lobby travel upstairs as my door was near the foot of the stairs. It was not bad but I never was in a place the noise travels like a open space theatre. The location is pick of the crop. It's generally located and once you walk a few circles around the blocks surrounding your hotel, it's easy to get general bearings. The place was clean, cute and very attentive for their entrance, ally and the hygiene of those spaces in the tucked away corners. Soapy water splashed every morning. Breakfast buffet was decent and staff was nice, cleaned tables quickly and some speak English for those who need some assistance. It was a nice stay.

The only thing I love about this hotel is the location. Service was okay as some staff were on the friendlier side, others were not. Rooms and bathrooms are begging to be renovated, and I hope they could do something about the foul smell too. Skip their breakfast, it's not worth trying.

Fair priced hotel close to the center of everything in Florence. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.

Location, location, location. That's the A and Ω. And Albergo Firenze excels on that aspect. Close to the train station and in the heart of the historical center. Our room had a couple minor flaws but that wasn't a deal breaker. However you could see the tower of palazzo vechio outside the window and the duomo dome (for that you needed to take your head outside the window but still counts). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also another positive was that there is a room next to to leave your luggage if you arrive before the standard checking in hour.

Upon our arrival and check in, male front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Then we had a female front desk at checkout and was very inconsiderate. We are checking out and our friends are checking in at 10:30am. Check out is at 10:30 and breakfast also finished at 10:30. They arrive by train and where here at 10:30 and even when asked if the could hold it open for them the eat it did not happened. And yes even not here the night before they did pay for the night. Be considerate to customers for better ratings lady.

Location is amazing! Right in the city centre and rooms are decent quality for the price you pay. The downside was the AC was not great for the room especially with the July weather. Breakfast is mostly cold but you can get scrambled eggs on request. I noted that they only had 1 spatula for cheese and meats so not great for vegetarians. Overall good experience.

One star for friendly staff and location only. The place needs renovation. Shower was not working well, AC is not cooling, super slow wifi, noises due to improper sound insulation windows, limited choice of breakfast.. Very disappointing.. not gonna visit it again

first day they gave me the wrong key, so i walked into "my room" to find someone elses things everywhere. Huge theft risk, they literally let me into someone elses room unsupervised. This is the absolute worst accomodations ive ever stayed in...even counting motels. Its so loud constantly that even 3 white noise machines couldnt drown it out. The walls have absolutely no sound insulation from the outside or the hallway. Staff does not care about other guests screaming full volume in the middle of the night or stomping up the stairs, even with entire hallways of guests complaining. They insist on cleaning the room every (even if youre trying to shower?) Yet somehow there was dirt and grim built up and the room smelled horrible the entire stay, like rotten food and sewage. I almost forgot to add that you have to climb over the sink to get into the shower (shower door only opens a foot and a half, so if youre not very thin, good luck getting in) and that you cannot sit on the toilet without the digusting, uncleaned toilet lid falling on you Every. Single. Time. Also the breakfast had rotten food in it and flies buzzing around

As a lone traveller the hotel pretty much served and met all of my needs. The location is the best. The Internet connection is awful all over the city center whether used the hotel or personal Internet spot. The hotel is located where all shops are , besides everything is walking distance from its spot. The staff friendly with good attitude. The hotel overall required some maintenance (I.e AC, elevators, ..., WC) but my experience was good.
