Very nice accommodation. Situated at San Lorenzo, Florence (heart of the city). Entrance is not very visible, just follow Google maps and you will get there. Spacious rooms with very high ceilings and hallways, clean toilets and walk-in showers. Bed is perfect- very big and tight, but comfortable at the same time. Don’t expect to get nice view because there are buildings everywhere around and there’s no space. Staff is very friendly and professional. Elevator is typical for Italy..small, claustrophobic and funny. Breakfast is served at “La menagere” which is very nice.

Unique little hotel in the heart of Florence, located in an old monastery. Beautifully furnished rooms, decorated in an contemporary style which works brilliantly with the ancient setting of the building. Stunning views on the San Lorenzo Basilica, very clean and super helpful staff. It is not the traditional hotel but something different for those who really want to spend few days in an original historical building of Florence but without compromising the comfort. Can't wait to be back!

We left 2 things in the room on accident, room was very dark while packing as there was one lamp in the tiny room and it cast a shadow. There was no room to put our stuff the room was so small. The very next hotel, same day, we realized the mistake and called them to ask if they found the items. They did. They said they would mail them to our home address. We never received our items and they never answer us when we ask.

Fantastic location in the historical heart of Florence, beautifully spacious and clean rooms which mix a contemporary style with the unique historical feature of the building. Super kind and helpful staff! Absolutely recommended!

Warmly recommended hotel in the center of Florence. A bit tricky to find, as there are no big signs, but worth the search :) We stayed for one night during our Tuscan tour, and got an upgrade to room number 310, which was fantastic. A huge space!! Big old wooden doors, a spacious entrance, bathroom with bathtub, shower etc., living and bed room. All decorated in an almost Nordic minimalistic style while staying true to the local historic art scene. Slept well 🍷🌸💙

I would love to give this hotel a much higher rating - the location was fabulous, the staff lovely, however cannot due to the handling of bed bugs. We stayed here for 6 nights in total - the first 3 nights in room 304. After two nights I noticed a couple of bites but assumed a spider or mosquito ( have never encountered bed bugs before so didn't even think of them!). The third night I did not wear pyjama's to bed (another huge mistake!) and woke up covered in bites. My husband also had several bites but unlike me his skin does not tend the react. The first two bites noticed were now large red swollen areas. At this point I will say that I am very sensitive to sand fly bites and was reacting in a similar way. We immediately told the hotel manager that we thought they had bed bugs and asked to change rooms. The hotel accommodated the room change (note: new room did not have bed bugs). The hotel stated they had never had a bed bug problem - I showed them a photo of the bites! By that afternoon the bites were swollen and sight seeing abandoned. I requested a local doctor and the hotel suggested that if I was having an allergic reaction they would call an ambulance - I found my own doctor! The doctor confirmed bed bugs. Antibiotics and cortisone cream and more antihistamines, I returned to the hotel to find they had put other people in room 304. I confirmed that whilst I did not hold them responsible for bed bugs (google said that hotels can be clean and lovely but still fall prey to bed bugs) I absolutely held them responsible for putting other people at risk in that room. Response: we have checked. We don't have them! Sorry - but over a week later second course of antibiotics and cortisone - Room 304 does have bed bugs! It could only have been there - all clothes were washed when we landed in Florence. Suffice to say all clothes were washed AGAIN following doctors diagnosis (and dried on high in dryer for 40minutes - shrunk clothes far better than bed bugs!), bags were disinfected, tea tree oil was placed everywhere and pleased to say no more bed bug bites! It is simply not good hotel policy to move other people into a room where bed bugs have caused problems. This approach means I would not recommend the hotel despite the brilliant location. Fix the bed bugs and you are on a winner.

It's a keeper. Easy access to train and duomo. Nice room. Friendly staff. Breakfast cafe down the street is excellent. Get room on 3rd floor and you can go to a balcony with view to duomo while enjoying some vino.

A great central hotel with a fabulous breakfast at nearby restaurant included. WiFi good but lack of desks and chairs for extended work in room. Highly recommended for non-business travel.

By far the best Hotel Reception I've ever encountered. Extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot for organizing the tickets! The rooms are very nice as well.

A remarkable property which is well located in the heart of Firenze and a wonderful blend of the rooms and common areas which transport you to a unique experience of living in medieval times here as did artists including Leonard da Vinci (yes) while at the same time, offering contemporary beddings, comforts and spanking new bathrooms.... The staff are very friendly and helpful. Particularly commendable is Silvana at the reception. The owner, Mr Domenico takes keen interest in maintaining high standards to ensure guests carry good memories.... Bravo!

We could not have picked a better hotel for our first visit to Florence. Super spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a great location (so close to the Duomo!). Dina made us some amazing welcome cocktails in the hotel’s stunning library bar - she was very welcoming and educated us on the history of the building and the influence of Leonardo Da Vinci. Will visit again in a heartbeat for the incredible location and hospitality.

I really like this place. An old convent turned hotel. The room I have is quite big and simple but tastefully decorated. The bed is comfortable and so is the shower. The bathroom is very large. It doesn’t really feel like a hotel, the reception closes at 7pm and you enter with a key. Location couldn’t be more central—- my room faces the courtyard and is extremely quiet. Breakfast is served at nearby restaurant La Menagere - it’s super nice food and location. There is also a beautiful long balcony at hotel where you can sit. Also I have a wonderful view of the Duomo.
