Our trip to Florence was made all the more memorable by the fantastic accommodations at Velona’s Jungle Suites. Veronica went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent many times. Our first night there, the air conditioner in our suite was not working. Veronica (who lives off site) came to our suite and personally tried to troubleshoot the air conditioning. When that didn’t work she moved us to another suite for the night so we could have a comfortable sleep. This is just one example of the exemplary standards of service provided. The rooms are beautifully decorated and unique. The breakfast each morning was a highlight. It was nutritious and delicious. We cannot wait to come back to Florence to enjoy another stay at Velona’s!

What a unique experience! There is so much attention to decor, everything was immaculate. Veronica was so gracious and gave us great advice about what to visit in the city. We were traveling with a large group and she booked dinner for the whole group even though only my husband and I were staying there. Every restaurant she recommended was spectacular. The rooms were very private, it’s more like staying in an apartment than a hotel but with the benefits of housekeeping. It was just outside of the city center but an easy walk for us. We would certainly stay here again.

A perfect location for any apartment based stay in Firenze, One of three original Tower gates sits welcoming you to your stay and serves as a good marker for when travelling. Opposite the formal park which runs along the edge of the city. The apartments are beautiful, luxurious, and full of bespoke features, textures, and vintage items. It really can't be expressed enough in words and needs to be seen. We were welcomed by Alessandro was such a lovely kind soul. He made us feel welcome and made you feel like you were a guest in his home rather than a visitor. He showed us around the apartment, explained our room and the unique features, and surprised me with a birthday bottle of bubbly. The room the Fossey was lovely and cool with a fabulous shower and very nice decor. I would and probably will stay here again.

We looked at a lot of different places in Florence and ultimately decided to book this place because of all the really high reviews - and we are glad we did! Originally planned to stay for 2 nights, but had a lovely time and decided to extend by one more day. We stayed at 5 different places during our trip throughout Italy, and this place by far was the best one! Colorful design throughout the complex/rooms, chic bathroom, very comfortable bed/mattress. The staff were very friendly, attentive/responsive, and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!!

Amazing boutique hotel with amazing hosts. We truly enjoyed the hospitality and rooms. The decor is lovely and the breakfast was fresh and a great way to start the day. The hosts are so warm and inviting and have great tips about what to see and where to dine from a local perspective. Highly recommend!

Just the most perfect stay in Florence. The rooms are richly decorated, large, elegant and cosseting after the heat and bustle of central Florence. Stylish generous bathrooms, huge comfortable bed, shaded terrace. Veronica and her team are the most friendly, attentive and helpful you could possible hope for. Nothing is too much effort: original dining recommendations, reservations made, taxis booked, shopping suggestions. Little touches like the free minibar and coffee on arrival make you feel like you're at a home from home but the stylish custom made gift on departure reminds you you've been a guest somewhere very special. Can't wait to have an excuae to stay again.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The location is a 10 minute walk from the city core. The design is absolutely impeccable and such a unique gem. From the minute you check-in, they are helping you with your bags and offering you juice in their lounge while sharing their favourite local spots with you (non-touristy ones). We stayed in the Livingstone suite and it was so lovely. The decor is jungle themed, but in a really chic way. The shampoo and conditioner they provide has an insanely good formula. They helped to coordinate parking too which was super helpful after a long journey. Thanks to Alessandro for making our stay special! Cheers!

My wife and I were staying for four days and moved from another Hotel in the center of the city. The rooms here were bigger and the location was better for us. We needed to drop our bags off early and go to Rome for the Ryder Cup and returned at 10:00 in the evening. They were gracious enough to let us check in early and then meet us at 10 in the evening for the key. We received a great overview of the local resaturants and activities from the hosts and enjoyed the comfortable and modern room. When we return to Florence we will definiately consider a stay here at Velona's Jungle. It is close to the river and train station in a decent part of town.

We had an amazing stay at Velona's Jungle ! Everything was just perfect, the room was pretty, confortable, quiet and clean. Veronica and her husband are so nice they made us feel at home ! They took the time to give us wonderful advice about what to do in Florence. The location was perfect, close to the city center. I couldn't recommand this place enough ! A true gem, with exceptional customer service, incredibly beautiful interiors, and a prime location. Breakfast was amazing (we were sad that we weren't able to enjoy it all -- too full from dinner the night before!) Hope to return again, and would highly recommend it to others.

A wonderful place to stay that I will recommend to everyone! We absolutely loved our stay at Verona's Jungle Suites. The family that runs the boutique hotel are attentive and go above and beyond to make your time in Florence a memorable one. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given a quick guide to Florence, along with a list of recommended places to visit (which was the best!). The rooms themselves are luxurious and the best kind of retreat after a long day out in the city. The location is perfect and close to everything you need in Florence. I highly encourage those staying to visit a few of Velona's recommended places because it truly made our trip to Florence a memorable. Velona herself was absolutely wonderful and even helped us find places to visit in Tuscany. If I'm ever in Florence again, I will absolutely book my stay here.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Florence any more, I discovered Velona’s Jungle - a truly unique, wonderful, boutique hotel experience worthy of 5 stars! The owner Veronica and her cousin Alessandro have historical ties to the building/area, an abundance of local knowledge and willingly go above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable stay. I stayed in the Humboldt Suite - the decor was to perfection, stunning with so much character and attention to detail. And it’s this same quality and level of care that’s mirrored in other aspects of your stay there. This was a birthday trip and Veronica surprised me with a beautiful bouquet. I was also grateful for the variety of non-touristy recommendations for food, drinks, sights and sounds. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will certainly be back! I’ve found my new home, from home and would happily suggest anyone reading this do the same and book here! Again, to all at Velona’s Jungle, grazie mille!

Velona’s jungle suites was one of the favourite places we stayed at during our honeymoon. Gorgeous decoration and very comfortable. Veronica & her team are so welcoming and knowledgeable of the city like we were staying with old friends. Located at walking distance from the city centre but away from the tourist crowds. Couldn’t recommend more.

An absolute dream. We’re traveling from San Francisco and our stay was absolutely incredible. The accommodations are lovely and the design is amazing. On top of that, the staff was over the top friendly, attention to detail was amazing, and made you feel at home. It was such a charming residence, easy to get everywhere by walking, and quiet and comfortable. I would come back here every time in Florence! Highly highly recommend.

Gorgeous. Hotel manager was so helpful with lots of recommendations without being pushy or overbearing. Beautiful boutique feel and service. The decor is outlandish and over the top, not how I would personally decorate my house but it was a treat to stay somewhere so extravagant and that’s not to say furniture / accessories etc weren’t beautiful. So many gorgeous touches like free mini bar and access to water in the hallway. No TV in the room which I loved. The bathroom ceiling was unusual and the design was just gorgeous throughout. Great bed and nights sleep. Good location to start your walk around Florence.

We had the most fantastic stay. The owners have been so nice and helpful. We could asked them everything and they had an excellent list of nice things to do in Firenze. They also offered to help with reservations when needed and suggested delicious restaurants and snack bars. The room was cozy but also very stylish. It felt very luxurious but also laid back. The breakfast was very tasty and fresh. We experienced Firenze by walking and the hotel is perfectly set for this. It’s definitely a place to recommend. We loved it it very much.

This was a last minute find but turned out to be the best hotel we stayed in Florence. As a hotelier myself, no detail was missed at Velona’s Jungle Luxury Suites. Everything is lovingly hand-picked and selected from the owner, Velona, from the furnishings, to the choice of amenities and unique antiques and wallpapers found throughout the property. The breakfast was just right and hit the spot. Parking was made super easy and affordable with valet parking. The suites were located a tad outside of the ZTL zone/historic city center but this was not an issue at all. We actually enjoyed the walk along the waterside and led us to discover local spots we may have otherwise missed. Velona’s recommendations of restaurants, parking, eating etc we’re all top notch. We were very lucky to have come across this property. Thank you once again!

This is a very amazing and unique place to stay. Not sure where to start. The whole team at Velona’s Jungle is supportive, friendly, always to reach. The design of the apartment is unique and interesting, especially when keeping in mind that Veronica and her mum did it all themselves. Room Darwin is cozy, quiet and has a modern bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. My boyfriend said it’s the best he ever had :) Highly recommend staying at Velona’s Jungle.

Absolutely lovely. Stayed here for a week as a female solo traveler while visiting the region. The rooms are immaculate and the location is incredibly safe and convenient (10-15 min walk) to both walking and bus tours. Plus Veronica looks after you, providing solid suggestions on where to go. I mainly went off of her recommendations and it made my trip.

This place is beautiful and well situated for seeing the town and access to the train. The owner is amazing. She has excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing and was very accommodating. She even had her husband meet us at the hotel at midnight due to our flight being delayed. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Florence.

Absolutely Luxury experience. If you are lucky to get a spot in this hotel and meet the host - Veronica, you will have this trip memory forever as your best accommodation experience. I have stayed in 5 star and luxury hotels both big names and boutique types, but this one clearly stood out. I was sad to leave Velona’s Jungle and will make sure to come back soon. It is a walking distance from the train station, next to the tram station from where you can go anywhere in the city. Is a perfect place for non typical tourists who appreciate beauty, comfort and a custom approach. The price is totally worth and I hope it doesn’t go up because simply everyone who stays here can leave positive reviews. Loved the breakfast!!!!!

Veronica and her Jungle Suites are incredible. This was a building of her ancestors and the suites and common areas include antique decor and modern updates that go so well together and couldn't be done by a hotel corporation or a standard hotelier. Our check-in coffee with Veronica was amazing, Florence was incredible, this location is great, and our suite was phenomenal. Certainly the best accommodations of our honeymoon, perhaps the best accommodations we've had anywhere. Veronica's recommendations for eating and shopping are all off the tourist mainstays and all are worth the time. We wouldn't even consider other locations in Florence for a future stay.
