Stunning arty charming boutique hotel, in an incredible way capturing the Renaissance atmosphere of Florence. For us, on a romantic escape, it was absolutely amazing. Being nearby the beautiful Piazza del Duomo and the historic city center and easy reachable by car as well did the rest. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and pleasant. I will recommend your hotel to all my friends and hope to be back soon.

We had a great stay! The staff is very accomodating and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was very complete and had everything that we needed to get our day started. The location of the hotel is in walking distance to most of the attractions in Florence and convienient to restaurants, cafes, and shopping. Our room was comfortable and clean and set us up for a great bike tour after we checked out.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Staff were so lovely from the get go and made us feel so welcomed after a long few days travelling before. 5 minute walk from the duomo and right in the heart of the city with most good spots only being a 15 minute walk The rooms are beautiful and clean and we slept amazingly here especially since the AC was so good

We had 3 rooms that ranged from tiny to expansive all for the same price. There is a lift but several of the rooms were up additional partial or full flights of stairs. So be prepared to potentially have to carry luggage up stairs. Breakfast buffet was nice. Lovely outdoor courtyard. Excellent front desk staff.

Il Guelfo Bianco exceeded our expectations during our stay. The hotel has an authentic old-world charm that was surprisingly hard to find when we were searching for bookings in downtown Florence. The hotel looked even better in person than in photographs. The room was beautiful, with plenty of great decorative and architectural details. The curved brick archway and high wooden ceiling were very nice. It was also spotlessly clean. The bathroom was larger and well-appointed than we expected, with nice tile work and a big bathtub with shower attachment. The team at Il Guelfo Bianco was also great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants, calling cabs and storing our luggage after checkout. We really appreciated the friendly service from the staff. The location near the city center was convenient for accessing all the main attractions downtown. The value for the money is impressive. We went to a higher-priced villa for the second half of our trip, and I wished we had stayed at Il Guelfo Bianco instead. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any visitors to Florence, and I'd like to thank the team at Il Guelfo Bianco for hosting us.

My husband and I stayed at Il Guelfo Bianco last month. The location is perfect--it is only a minute walk away from the Accademia and 5 minute walk away from the Duomo. The hotel was clean, offered a varied breakfast, and all members of the staff were helpful and friendly. Margherita was very helpful in particular with making dinner reservations for us and also making suggestions (she suggested the Mercato Centrale, where we ended up going to for lunch and dinner 3 times during our time in Florence!).

We LOVED everything about this gem of a place. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful- every single one of them. The location was perfect as it was in very close proximity to everything, yet removed enough to be quiet for sleeping. We loved the rooms. The sheets and blankets were so comfortable. The breakfast was also lovely. A very charming and great place to stay!

Spent 3 nights and it was great! Location can’t be beat! Accessible to many attractions (Accademia is a minute walk). Service is on point. We had an electricity issue and the staff did their best to solve it. Breakfast is plentiful and good. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a lovely stay at Il Guelfo Blanco. I still wake up thinking about the scrumptious breakfast spread that was carefully orchestrated every morning. The service was great, too. I would like to command Margherita's kindness and professionalism, in particular. I stayed in three rooms two of which were very comfortable and quaint. All of them were very clean! I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Our family spent one night at Il Guelfo Bianco in June. We arrived early and while the one person at the desk was pleasant, it was difficult for her to check us into our four rooms, answer the phone and respond to questions from other guests. So we were able to get one room for all our luggage and we finished the process when we returned from sightseeing. The rooms were spacious and charming, although a couple were in a unique location. The bathrooms were bright and well decorated. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the courtyard setting. The deluxe coffee machine offered so many options that everyone in our group was happy. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendation to the L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele.

The location is nice, but the walls are very thin and you hear a lot of noises from the street, while trying to sleep. Furthermore, they had a renovation at the hotel during my stay and were drilling all the time, causing a lot of noise and waking you up way too early every morning. So that was really bad and made my stay unenjoyable.

Brilliant hotel - beautiful artwork everywhere, tastefully decorated spacious rooms. It is a short walk to all the main attractions. The hotel inside is a lovely warren of landings, internal courtyard, interesting features - delicately painted ceilings, old mirrors, etc. The staff is lovely and very attentive. Very comfortable bed also, and great breakfast buffet with a good selection of food. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with a great location! If you like your hotel to be sleek and modern with monochromatic walls, this probably isn’t the best choice for you, unless you’re selecting it, simply because of the fabulous location a few blocks from the heart of Florence. But, if you are into vintage, or exploring charming nooks and crannies filled with a diverse art collection, or you simply want to imagine you’re in the Florence of yesteryear, then this is the hotel for you! We were in room 101 (junior suite). It had a fresco on the ceiling and overlooked the street with a Juliet balcony. All the staff we spoke with were very friendly and provided suggestions about where to eat, etc. The breakfast provided each morning was also very nice.

Very nice hotel only 5 minutes away from the Duomo. In the city centre but still quiet in the rooms. The staff was friendly and the rooms very clean. Will definitely come here again if visiting Firenze for a second time.

The best hotel in Italy. Amazing. How can I describe it? The room was beautiful quite and clean. They are so nice. And it is in great location 10 minutes walk from everywhere. I will definitely return.

Stayed here for three nights, it's really value for money, like you are so close to where everything happens, but you don't hear a single thing when sleeping at night. The room was stylish and bathroom seemed new. The breakfast was okay, I'm not a big eater in the morning, just need my coffee and croissant, so if you are looking for a continental breakfast buffet, you will get disappointed. The staff was also super helpful and genuine, like they wanted you to have a good stay. I would definitely recommend.

This place was great. The room was quiet and comfortable. It had a safe that stationery in the closet (unlike many of the hotels we stayed at where the safe could have been carried out of the room); and it was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and conversant in English. An excellent breakfast was served, and it was within walking distance of anything you wanted to see. A very enjoyable experience and my only regret is that I wrote the name of the day man on the counter, and lost it, but I wanted to say he was fantastic. A slim young man with dark hair.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is helpful, friendly and attentive. The front desk staff can arrange for taxis, tours, dinner reservations or whatever else you might need in Florence. I was very impressed with housekeeping, You can tell how much attention, detail and care is put into the guest rooms. Breakfast was good, immaculately kept breakfast area with attentive staff. Great location, within walking distance of many attractions.

Our hotel for our days in Florence was the Il Guelfo Bianco, and an excellent hotel it was too. Brilliantly located for all the main attractions and not too far from the train station, it's located in a refurbished 16th century building. Our bedroom was spacious and full of character and even had a balcony, though we didn't get the chance to enjoy it. And there was free wifi and breakfast too.

Our stay at the Guelfo Bianco in Florence was fantastic. We had a beautiful junior suite. The ceiling in the living room area was brick, and in the bedroom area there were gorgeous wooden beams with old hand painted designs. The hotel does a wonderful job of capturing that old Renaissance look and combining it with a modern twist by placing the most interesting art throughout the hotel. From the front desk, housekeeping, to the cafè servers, service was 5 star. The location is perfect! Short walk to train station, close to central market, very close to Duomo and main historic attractions. It’s on the same block as the Medici palace! Our time in Florence was wonderful and this hotel completely added to its charm.

Great service and friendly staff. During covid you point at what you want for breakfast and they bring your plate. Excellent cappuccini! Very nice, quieter street, but walking distance to duomo, ponte vecchio and other tourist sites. Old but recently remodeled room, but plenty of outlets next to beds and AC kept the room nice.

Amazing breakfast!!! The hotel is nice but the surrounding neighborhood is not ideal if you’re older than 25-years-old.

The junior suite is a very poor choice and is not worth its money! Breakfast was good and location excellent! Some of the personnel was very polite and helpful, but others were not. Parking service was convenient, but personnel was very rude. I would recommend staying at a superior room and not the suites because the location is great.
