A
friend
and
I
spent
a
Saturday
evening
at
this
hotel
in
our
room
chatting
and
listening
to
music
at
a
moderate
volume.
At
one
point,
we
opened
an
unlocked
door
in
our
suite,
which
turned
out
to
lead
into
another
guest's
suite,
and
we
immediately
closed
the
door.
We
went
to
bed
by
1:30AM.
The
hotel
claimed
our
behavior
was
so
egregious,
they
fined
us
200
euro,
threatened
to
send
our
passport
info
to
the
police,
and
complained
to
Expedia
about
us.
We
paid
the
charge
in
the
interest
of
putting
this
behind
us,
but
were
thoroughly
put
off
by
the
hostility
of
the
management.
What
kind
of
hotel
leaves
doors
into
other
suites
unlocked?
In
what
other
context
does
a
hotel
get
to
decide
you've
been
talking
for
too
long
on
a
Saturday
night
and
need
to
pay
up?
Don't
stay
here
if
you
like
talking,
laughing,
music,
or
rooms
where
other
guests
can't
accidentally
walk
in.
