This place isn't fit to be called a hotel. Rotten smell all over the place and poor hygiene and lighting. Only advantage of this place is the locality. This hotel is almost in the heart of the city. Every attraction in the city is easily reachable by walk from this place. Although, I just hated this place. I don't recommend anyone booking this hotel.

Besides the wait downstairs and the low quality amnesties it feels like there was no normal point of contact to talk to. Oh and also there was no hot water. Oh and the window in the room didn't open. I can safely say that you should get a respectable hostel instead of this place.

The location is awesome. Very central with lots of restaurants and magazines nearby, and 400m from the train station. BUT the hotel is horrible. No one answered the bell, and we got in thanks to a worker who let us in. The host is a very strange man. No kitchen, only one shared bathroom with no towel, no shampoo, no soap. You have to rent everything separately. The place is poorly painted and the room smells cigar badly. The bed sucks. Even though Wi-Fi is available it doesn't work at all. Don't even expect to read emails! They offer discount on the bar at the corner for breakfast and lunch. It's a shame in spite of the location. Most of the photos are fake. Seems like a hoax. It could be much better. I don't recommend. Google didn't allow me to give no stars.

If I could give it less than one star I would. Needless to say it was so bad, we couldn't have left any sooner. My friend and I got there and the guy in charge was clearly drugged out. Our room was not ready and he proceeded to get it “ready,” the room was clearly very dirty and nasty. No windows and the bathroom was disgusting. He wanted cash eventhough we said we were no longer interested in the room because it wasnt anything like the booking photos. No clean sheets or towels. Experience was scary and almost out of the horror movie (Hostel). We clearly left.

You have to check in at the hotel across the street, but luckily we saw that in another review and we did that. The rooms were mildly clean but were fairly bare. There is hardly a kitchen space but that was fine because we weren't cooking much. We were given a key for our door but it didnt actually lock so we kept no valuables there

The location is the best thing of the Locanda Roco. The room was quite clean and the bathroom the same. There was a bell where you are invited to ring but nobody answers. Then you have to check out from the reviews or to call in order to find the way how to do the check in and discover that it is in the hotel Infront of the Locanda where you do the check in and out.

Is a good hostel for the price it is. Is in the center of the city so it's a great deal because you can go easily to the most touristic places. It has kitchen, the bathrooms are ok and the reception people are nice.

Good location, and good appliances. Even that the building entrance may look not so welcoming, then inside is a mixture of new design with the old italian fashion.

Friendly staff when they are around, which was not often. There was no hot water, the bedside light did not work and the air conditioning was broken. However the location is very handy for exploring Florence.
