This place does not sell alcohol. So please keep in mind before visiting. However it's a very nice coffee bar and gives a very beautiful view of the Duomo in Florence. It's located on the second floor within a compound which also has a museum. The best time to visit is evening just before the sunset so that you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Duomo and the sunset while sipping hot cup of coffee.

When I went to complain, they told me in a rude way that I had to say I wanted the offer before ordering, and I actually did it. In adittion, they charged me with an extra coffee and refused to give me a refund. My impression is that they wanted to charge me more because I did not speak Italian and they pretended not to speak English, when they perfectly can.

This place deserves a visit while in Florence. The view from the terrace is one of the best in town and it’s the perfect place for enjoying a cappuccino and a croissant. It was one of the best parts of our trip and we really enjoyed our time there, where we could actually feel the vibe of the city.

this place is at the top of a beautiful library with gorgeous courtyards and a view of the duomo! Cheap food options like fruit cups and paninis but you can also order pasta and things like that. A lovely place to study/get some work done while enjoying a peaceful space with fresh air, greenery, and delicious coffee. I had a sandwich that was $2.50 and a juice for $2 so I recommend this place for students

Great place to sit and get work done while enjoying a drink and a great view of the Duomo. The cafe is in a fully enclosed indoor space but you can also sit in the covered outdoor space surrounding it. There are even electrical outlets in the outdoor covered space. Very peaceful here.

Amazing location, spectacular view of Florence’s cathedral. it’s on the Second floor inside the public library. Good selection of food and drinks. Tables inside are reserved for the bar customers.

i think the prices can be a little more student friendly but other then that it's one of the coolest places in Florence. You can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of Duomo with a nice cup of coffee.

Wether you are getting work done or not this the Oblate library cafe is a great place to visit while in Florence. The library bring the outdoors in side which is so peaceful and the top floor has amazing views of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (The Duomo), where the cafe is locate!

Such a nice spot! Very local, the view is beautiful and you can have a coffee or a tea while looking at the Duomo... to go in, just get the elevator until the third floor.. The toilets are a bit dirty though, as they belong to the public library...

Nice place to study or use your laptop. Enough chargers around and WiFi available. No table service. A bit hard to find. Second floor of the public library, around the corner and outside then through a hallway and back inside but the people who work there give decent directions. I had an “arominca” which is just a small sweet mocha for €2.5. Nice view.

Great find away from the tourist traps with friendly staff!! Beer (which is available from the cafeteria) is a bit more reasonable and the views aren't bad either!

Affordable place for enjoying a coffee and doing some work / reading. Although its a bit hard to find if you haven’t been here. You should go inside the building on the 2nd floor.

Awesome hot chocolate (or adult drinks) with an amazing view. One of the best unkept secrets of Firenze!

Not the best coffee in Florence, but definitely the best place to have your evening coffee with an incredible view of Duomo! I definitely recommend this place if you want to study or work from your laptop. The only downside is that there's nowhere to charge your laptop.

Great spot to enjoy a reasonably priced coffee and pastry with a spectacular view of the Duomo!

A beautiful spot but the main waiter is a bit of a bully - I've been here a few times now when there are plenty of people sitting and chatting or using laptops without a coffee, and he'll always single one person out and send them out of the cafe. I get that it's not a laptop-friendly cafe, but his manner is really aggressive and only ever targeted at one or two people. Pastries are also dry, but coffee is good.

This is the best place for breakfast in Florence! Off the beaten path, no tourists, inexpensive and a view like no other!

A tucked away cafeteria in the heart of Florence with a great view of Brunelleschi's dome. Perfect croissants and a wide range of special coffees to suit adventurous tastebuds from pistachio creme coffees to bon bons. Reasonable prices especially considering the view. €1.40 for a croissant €3-5 for all speciality coffees.

A small cafe at the library with a beautiful view of the cathedral. However, the atmosphere is not very chill, as the people working at the bar were a bit stressed. Hopefully,it's not like this every day.

Love it! Good and cheap coffee, a beautifil view and a calm place to read a book or just contemplate Duomo. Bit hard to find so ask the receptionist to show you the way.

Great place to have an espresso (or 2) and escape the hustle and bustle of downtown. Definitely my new favorite quiet place in Florence. The free internet was an added bonus.

The first selling point of this is actually this view. And it helps that the coffee is good while being fairly affordable! It's pretty straightforward set in a rustic environment. The only thing is that there are only a few sockets which will make it a challenge to find a spot to work in (especially since nowadays, work would mostly require a laptop or some kind of gadget.) but if you are able to find a workaround, this caffetteria and the library in general is a really good spot. (i'm quite happy that this is near my place as well. 😊)

This is a great place for an inexpensive drink if you don't mind hanging out with students. Cafeteria is on the top floor 4th I think. It is an old monastery which now runs as a library. (Biblotec). Best price and great quality pasta for lunch with coffee etc. Great views!
