If you’re ever in Florence, you owe it to yourself to try Coffee Mantra. I first visited in 2019 by accident while wandering around the streets of Florence. The owner was extremely friendly and gave us his personal recommendations. I recently went again in 2021 and he remembered me somehow and showered me with love. The coffee was just as good as I remember and the pastry just as buttery and flaky as you can hope for. Coffee Mantra is the first place I’ll go the next time I step foot in this lovely city. Enjoy!

Coffee was fantastic! Had the Ethiopia on v60 and it was frickin good. Pastries were delicious as well and a perfect pairing. This is my favorite coffee shop I have visited in all of Italy. Service was beyond friendly and espresso is dialed. My partner and I were staying nearby for a few days so had the chance to try lots of their brew options and all of them were delicious. Can’t wait to come back and drink from here again:)

Working with a local speciality roaster the coffee here is a treat, served up by barista's that keep the steady flow of locals and tourists both informed and engaged. The space has minimal seating, a few stools inside and a bench next to each door of the corner location, making this a great update on the idea of how Italians drink their coffee standing at the bar. Join in and you get sucked into the conversation almost immediately. Offering espresso-based drinks, batch and pour-over your coffee needs are fully covered. Retail bags of espresso and filter are available. In a city known for its history Coffee Mantra is the future.

Fantastic espresso and good pastry. They have a wide variety of croissants you can choose from. The espresso is much more flavorful than any other cafe I've been to. It's got a lot of acidity and tartness to it. I'd highly recommend it!

Best coffee ☕ I've had in Florence by far, and one of the best coffee I've had in 2023. Great bartender and lively atmosphere. I recommend the Macchiato, throw in a cookie for a few more cents!

Great small place with specialty coffee. Run by a passionate coffee freak and this is just awesome! Highly recommended, best coffee you can have in Florence, by far.

The coffee was incredible and the pastries very tasty and reach in filling. The guy that runs the place is so passionate about coffee that he made 3 or 4 espresso until he got it right and only then served it to us! Good prices also.

Everything about this shop is perfection. First we love gearbox coffee and we tried cappuccinos, cold brew and of course espresso. And they offer coffee beans to buy from Gearbox the only place on Firenze. It’s a must visit.

If you want excellent coffee and great customer service in a more intimate yet hip setting, then come here. I walked the 15 mins from the plaza for a less congested experience and it was worth it. I also picked up two bags of their beans. I’m bummed I only discovered it now otherwise I would’ve been popping in daily during my stay in Florence.

I was in Firenze for two months while doing my graduate architecture degree. This cafe was right down the street from my apartment and quickly became my go-to spot every morning for my caffe latte. The two guys who worked there were incredibly friendly and great at what they do. They made my mornings in Italy feel perfect! Highly recommend for the best coffee in Firenze!

This is a place for specialty coffee lovers or geeks. Excellent cup of coffees, from espresso to filter ( v60 in my case). The barista, which I think is the owner of the bar, is a pleasant guy, super friendly and knows a lot about the coffees he works with; there is a close collaboration between him and Gearbox Coffee Roasters ( the coffee used in the shop). So impressed about the coffee that I bought 3 bags from them. Definitely one of the best places to go in Florence,if not the best.

Tiny cafe offering single origin espresso, batch brew, and other delightful coffee products. No WiFi, no ginseng, no decaf, no orzo, no thè, no chocolate, no.

Loved the energy of the place, the owner is really cool. The only downside I would say is that there isn’t a proper sitting area. Just a couple bar stools which is disappointing

1.5 for a cappuccino with oat milk! Please just try it out for yourselves. The cold brew was also splendid. This small coffeeshop is the perfect stop to grab a cup on the go, or you could also enjoy your espresso on the bar like a local.

One of the best coffees I ever had. Asked for a V60, which was perfectly executed by the barista. Nice selections of coffee beans.

Best coffee shop in Florence! The staff was very attentive and caring. The prices are great and the coffee bean quality out of this world.

One of the few places in Florence to get an artisanal coffee - so definitely check it out if you're struggling with the normal Italian cafes. Pastries were lovely too. Friendly staff. No indoor seating, so not a place to spend a great deal of time.

What a wonderful find! We love coffee and the owner creates and roasts his own coffee, also gave great advice on how to use our moka pot for the best taste. The pastries were also of a high standard and would highly recommend a trip to this lovely shop. If you really love coffee....go!

I really enjoyed the pour over using V60 on the beans from Uganda, sweet and fruity. But the dirty coffee cup really bothered me:(

This guy knows coffee. If you really want to taste the flavor notes from the beans you gotta drink it black. There aren't many places in italy that make coffee and espresso but you need to stop by this place in Firenze!

Great vibe and very very good coffee, one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in Italy.

Simply amazing . I was travelling around Italy and together with my wife we almost tried the best rated coffee bars in Milan , Florence and Rome . By far we had the best cup of coffee in Mantra. Also the guy who served us was quite energetic . It was a pleasure to chat about the beans they use .

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
