Owner is very friendly and welcoming and the coccoli were delicious! I suggest 2 of the large ones as a good lunch. You can get both sweet and savory types. The decor is very cute -- antique food laboratory themed!

Amazing food!!! Super cute place. Had the Crudo e Stracchino. Unbelievably good. You can even fill them with chocolate, cream, or apricot =)

Great experience. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. The dough balls are delicious but different to what we expected! The cheese and meats come on the side when we expected it to be filled with them. We got the tomato pasta which was good but quite simple. Overall a delicious experience made a lot better with the environment.

Crunchy fluffy fried pizza dough...incredibly tasty! My first experience was great... Also the cook was so friendly kind and funny... You must come!!

Wow, I had a delicious meal here of baby octopus, squid, large prawns and the best chips I think I have ever had in my 67 years. All fried I guess in olive oil. I so enjoyed this meal that I kept on eating well after I was full. It would be the first place I would head to if I am ever lucky enough to return to Florence. The place was very quirky and fun and seemed very popular with young people of Florence. I was treated to a Michelin starred meal whilst in Florence which was a revelation but truthfully I enjoyed my meal at Il Coccolo just as much if not better.

Our friend introduced us to this place and we loved it as it was a really fun dining experience. We had a selection of delicious, real Italian-style fried foods, and more. I liked the coccoli best (fried dough balls) which we filled with both sweet and savoury fillings. The owner was great craic and really helpful while we ordered.

Too many fried things =) When you are in Firenze, you must try one time at least!
