I would say but this place is more about the panoramic view of the city rather than about the roses. You can see meters long piece of old city wall from them together with towers, I swell as some beautiful houses and all the old buildings. The main Florence cathedral is also visible from there, but it isn’t the best spot to look at it. I would recommend to climb up the hill a bit more to see it more clearly. There are many benches in the roses garden but mainly occupied due to it’s popularity

Extremely disappointing! It is tiny compared to a place like Boboli. But worst of all you can barely admire any roses since the lawns are invaded by people taking a sunbath, such a massive absence of respect! We expected more civilised behaviour from Europeans and other tourists in a place that is not a beach but a floral garden. Would never have spent time there if we had been aware of those issues, the Iris or Japanese garden might have been better.

Roses don't matter. Happiness is drinking a glass of spirit while watching the scenery of Toscana from the top. I have to help my daughter pee, but I also had to pay 2 euros. Worth a visit besides the restrooms.

Nothing special if you are coming in the winter. The views to the city are nice though. The entry is free and in low season there is no queue. There are not too many sitting oportunities so you end up walking or standing all the time. The size of the whole garden is quiet small so you can view everything within 15-20min max.

By far, may favorite garden spot in Florence. I went in late spring/early summer, and everything was in full bloom. I can´t describe the immense beauty and VIEW over Florence (better than Piazza Michelangelo by far in my opinion) you get. There is even a cute cafe with an excellent view at the top of the hill/garden. Also, it is absolutely free for the public. Small, yes, but spectacular. Do not miss it, at least in Spring and Summer!

Breathtaking views in a lovely garden setting. Very little shade, gets hot. Go when it’s a bit cloudy and the photos are even more stunning!

Sunning view over Firenze. Would recommend everyone to visit. Go for sunrise or sunset if you want the beat lighting

Totally recommend a trip up here despite the difficult trek to the top. The view from Michelangelo’s square is pretty impressive, but the one from the Rose garden is pretty beautiful as well. Warning though that it will be quite busy. Lot of tourists and LOTS of smoking… very surprised we didn’t get sick from our time there. Still would recommend though!

Best time to visit this amazing garden is April till mid May, when the roses are in full bloom. Free entry and open till late. Otherwise you do get to see Florence from a fantastic point of view but forget about the roses. Those Modern sculptures... well would be better without them

Lovely little garden. Great place to stop for a drink at the bar when visiting Piazzale Michelangelo.

This is a small place, but with a really nice view. Located near the top of the terrace, it offers a peaceful place with a great vista, both for viewing the yellow city or to feel more in contact with the green inside the garden. Highly recommended to go with your significant other for a romantic moment on your way to the terrace. Tip: If it is sunny take a blanket with you. It is allowed to lay on the grass.

Nice place to stroll, read a book, have a picnic lunch. Fountains, statues, and a view of the city. Walk to the grotto-esque fountains nearby at Sistema delle Rampe del Poggi. Free to enter

Pretty nice garden, a bit overrated though - nothing extraordinary and definitely not deserving 5-stat rating. Just some rose bushes, have seen better. Garden has a pretty decent view of Florence as well.

Nice panoramic view of the city, more special with the sun down timing. Street artists are making it more special.

It is an amazing place to do picnic with a nice view and fragrance from all the roses 🌹. Best time to visit this amazing garden is May, when the roses are in full bloom. Free entry and open till late

A nice garden, not my favorite that we visited. Especially in August, many of the roses are dead. The maze is a bit confusing to follow, but otherwise it was nice! Again, a very nice view of the city.

I will never forget this garden and the smell of roses, luckily we entered the hidden door and found it.. a must go in Firenze.
