Spontaneously went there for dinner. Place is clean but menu options were very limited at that time even though it wasn't that late. What I liked is that I could make some changes with my order but I have to say that the food really didn't taste good at all. The prices are way too high for the quality I got served there. The portions were too small and the dish was basically just soaked in oil, the veggies were non-existent and completely mushy and also different ones than mentioned on the menu and there was a hair in my salad... I have eaten in a lot of vegan restaurants and this one was by far the worst. They just drown their dishes in oil, the quality of the products don't seem to be fresh to me. This is no healthy place to eat at and I won't do it again.

The place is very small and quite uncomfortable to eat on site, very small tables. The bathroom is locked, the counter takes up more than half the room. Covered with signs on the walls, many happy with false information. There is a menu written with prices, that there is no table service and that meal vouchers are accepted. The only real sign is the one that gives customers a disadvantage, in fact meal vouchers are not accepted and the prices are higher than those indicated Disappointing food. Hummus was acceptable, but the pizza was a disaster, the vegan mozzarella used was disgusting, the dough was nothing special. We won't talk about the cocktail, a Mimosa that looked like a pineapple smoothie mixed with prosecco, it seemed like the first time they had done it. Service, as mentioned, non-existent, you pay immediately and we need it ourselves. Even you have to clear the table yourself. All dishes are served at the same time. Prices on the menu would be acceptable, but seeing the quality of the food served they are very high, except for the humus. Vegan cuisine is something else. If it's throwing together random plant-based products, I can do that at home too

Imagine an over cooked piece of bread that is soggy in the centre, to the point that pizza comes uncut - otherwise all the ingredients would fall over on you. Comes with “amazing” plastic-looking tomato sauce and gag-worthy “cheese”. Hands down the worst vegan meal I had in my life, dreadful.

This restaurant is a SCAM. If you have taste please avoid to not ruin your food experience in Italy. When we arrived we are wondering how one employee can cook and service so many tables. The mystery was solved very quickly - they use ready made products. When we were ordering the lady started to take out stuff from the fridge. It was a ready made food like you can buy in every market in vegan sections. Pizza dough is pre-baked and packaged in foil. My milanese salad had a vegan "chicken schnitzel" that you can buy in every Lidl, Carrefour, etc. They didnt even put any effort in preparing the salad dressing - I was also asked to grab oil, balsamico, pepper and salt in tiny plastic packages from the counter. At the end we got lasagna destroyed to this point that it looked like a normal pasta. It was a moment that I asked for money back. Its just really a fraud to take so much money for heating up food from super market in the oven. The only positive thing I can about the place is that the lady who was working there was friendly. If you are thinking about ordering here, save yourself and better just eat a slice of a bread.

Had great food here and the place has really nice vibes, since all the food is cruelty-free 😊 we had gnocchi with pesto, vegan lasagna and ravioli, and everything was delicious!!! Strongly recommend it. I also had one of the best margaritas of my life because they put quite a lot of salt on the border of the glass and that's exactly how I like it :D

Lovely sunny spot to grab a quick vegan bite. Great taste, presentation and price! Ordered the falafel. It was huge! Ordered the tiramisu as well but could not finish it. Really excellent place. I’ll be eating here again.

This place is awesome! Very friendly staff and you can tell by details on the menu and the decoration that these people are passionate about plant based nutrition and veganism in general. Everything we got was of great quality 💚

Amazing Vegan food. So glad to have found this place and met Sylvia the owner. She’s fantastic and prepared our food quick. Her menu is extensive and we were glad to have really liked everything we ordered. We had gnocchi, tiramisu for dessert and also ravioli.

It's a simple bistro with few small tables outside. Nothing fancy. But that zucchini spaghetti were really good

Customer from Canada! Great vegan Italian meal, exactly what we were looking for. The eggplant parmesan was absolutely delicious - highly recommend. Took some time, which meant it was made to order - tasted that way anyway! In a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by locals. Highly recommend this place to those who cannot have dairy or are ofcourse vegan! :)

Really nice to have a vegan restaurant, nice options. Did not have pizza when i ordered. So then it was ravioli. Thought it was good but not that seasoned. A bit plain. Tiramisu not that "fresh" in taste. But still happy to get food here.

Great vegan joint a bit off the touristic center of Florence. We had two pizzas, the Lasagna the quinoa Salat, starters and two Spritz. I would really recommend going for the pizzas. The rest was good but the pizzas are probably you won't easily get somewhere else. The spritz was a great mix and definitely wasn't lacking aperol...

Great food and wonderful, friendly service. My only complaint is that the restaurant has no A/C or fan, so it gets really hot inside at lunch hour. Still great and would recommend to all vegan/non vegan friends and tourists looking for a wider selection of vegan food.

There was a very large selection of vegan dishes. One of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been to. The taste was just delicious. The prices are really ok compared to other vegan restaurants in Florence and not too expensive. I definitely recommend it!

Tasty dishes, friendly stuff, and a good atmosphere. What else is needed for a good restaurant? This place has everything that. There is a wide selection of vegan food and desserts. We loved it here, one of the best vegan places in Florence.

Cosy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, self-service and mind-blowing vegan food at reasonable prices. Pizza's are super rich and heavy. Padini's are delicious. Chocolate kiss is the best!

I don't get the good reviews. Service is terrible, I mean, no service. The food is okay but definitely not good. It's also quite expensive for what you get. The gnocchi was overcooked and too jelly and it was drowning in the oil of the pesto. When I went there at 12:00, there was no one else eating in the restaurant. In my opinion there are much better places in Florence where you can eat vegan, I wouldn't recommend going to this place for lunch.

Were there outside of lunchtime, perhaps that's why the food was so carelessly prepared. The taste itself was good, but somehow it lacked that special touch for the price that would have made it worth it. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to it and then was a little disappointed.

Sad that I have to leave Florence and Universo Vegano. The food is always great and very different from anything I've had in the states. It's a welcome break from nonstop pizza and pasta. Most establishments around Florence carry vegetarian options but it's mostly pizza, pasta, or a sandwich with just veggies and sauce. The food offered here is far more diverse and filling. My recommendation is the Romagnola Piadina (pictured). Service is informal with a walk up counter where you order and then pick up your food/drinks when they're ready.

Being from the states, I want to try something unique. Went with their suggestion for gnocchi with pesto sauce with iced coffee...awesome! The location is only a few mins from the city center, made for a nice, peaceful atmosphere. I love seeing the copy of "The China Study" on display. 😁

We ordered the Margherita pizza, Zucchini pasta, and the Happy Tuna burger and the food was amazing! The service was great and the workers were very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The food was quite nice, and they seemed to know about allergens as well. The hygeine could have been a bit better, as there were lots of mosquitoes and there seemed to be a small hair in the pizza, which could have tasted a bit better and taken less time. But aside from that, there were many options and also desserts, books to read and a bathroom.

Sweet komplett vegan Restaurant with beautiful terrace under an archway (sometimes so shadow). The tiramisu was nice, the cappuccino was okay.

As a vegan of two years - from USA - this is THE best vegan food I have ever tried. Their menu is very diverse for lunch and dinner. Includes a wide selection of wraps, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and of course, classic italian dishes that are all vegan. 5/5 would recommend! 💛

This was the best burger I’ve ever had in my life! Very nice small vegan cafe, if you can only go here once get the smoked burger, it’s absolutely incredible. The coffee and desert were also very nice, but the burger was the food highlight of the whole trip. Highly recommend!

  • 4/5 Paula C. 2 years ago on Google
We had the Ravioli and the gnocchi - tasty, but nothing special. For the quality of food totally overpriced and really not worth it to get something like Italien food impressions.

  • 1/5 Emma M. 2 years ago on Google
We had two pizzas and the cheese/sausage platter. The cheese platter was ok, the sausage tasted like nothing. The pizzas were actually the worst pizzas we’ve ever had - and I’ve had MANY vegan pizzas in my life. The dough was the worst - absolutely dry and at the same time weirdly chewy? The tomato sauce seemed absolutely unsalted as well as the sausage that has a great consistency but literally tasted like nothing. The mushrooms were frozen or jarred and they even managed to find olives that taste like nothing. Drinks besides water are 5€ for 0.33L which is horrendous. Sadly can’t recommend this place. We were so happy to have found a vegan place in Florence but this isn’t it :/

Self service food bar with rather low quality food, poorly cooked, with lots of oil @ veg fats. No taste, undercooked falafel and veg burger. At least we could enjoy a nice table under some nice arches.

Been there several times. Tried a lot and also took something for the road. Everything was delicious - from the fresh juices, to the pasta and burgers, to the dessert. Many tables outside. Very friendly staff (greetings to Laura)! Pros: Huge (!!) vegan selection, Everything vegan, Cosy athmosphere

Vegan pizza margherita was not good at all :( very stiff, we had to ask for better knife to cut it. Taste was a bit odd and vegan cheese really not good :( Staff was friendly! I also had vegan croissant filled with jam and that one was good!
