Just had a lovely relaxed vegetarian meal here! We were served by a very nice and friendly waitress who, although we didn't speak any Italian, and she only a bit of English, was very helpful and welcoming. Her big smiles put us at ease. She recommended a really lovely local wine called vernacchia that smelled like peaches and we had the linguine, salad, croquette, egg dish, and cavour. Was a great meal.

Great place for vegetarians, tourists, and locals alike. Service is warm and the ambience is cozy. One of the best meals we had during our stay in Florence. Making a reservation was straightforward via whats app.

This is a Vegetarian restaurant. We came here on Saturday evening ~21:00. It was our first night in Firenze & we didn't know what to expect ... The space was full with crowded peppy locals, It took us a while to try understand the menu ... Even after the patient explanetions ... We didn't 😀 So we decided to jump in and order anyway ... Everything we got was tasty & special ... So we ordered some more ... Every dish had an interesting good twist in the tastes ... At the beginning service was a bit slow .... busy, busy, busy ... but all the time with kind attention from all the staff ... We definitely recommend & if possible will come back ... Thank you a wonderful start at your beautiful city !!

Me and my husband went for a date night and this was a disappointment! We decided on this as I’m a vegetarian. Very surprising why this place is rated 4. There are way better meat forward restaurants which serve better vegetarian and this is disappointing They change their menu everyday and so we tried a risotto (tasted like khichdi) and pasta which was tasteless! One of the host was super rude and it wasn’t the most pleasant experience. Perhaps having wine with your food obfuscates the blandness.

Traditional, romantic Italian atmosphere minus the meat! If you are vegan longing for a small traditional Italian restaurant where they will guarantee you a three course dinner this place is perfect. We loved the cecina and spaghetti. I would also recommend caponata (but order this with bread or rice—a bit small on its own). Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Superb vegetarian food in Tuscany (with vegan options). Can also vouch for my other half who eats anything and didn’t miss meat at this meal. Highly recommend the cheesy focaccia, caponata and the decent wine selection!

Really lovely little restaurant: delicious food, with well-balanced flavours (when we went I especially enjoyed the chicory pasta), and friendly staff. Some classic dishes from Tuscany but also from Liguria -- we had farinata and focaccia di recco.

Great place for faranella which apparently is a delicious flat chick pea dish. Vegetarian but don't lets that scare you. Owner is really nice too!

Small but lovely place to eat on lively piazza with a great ice cream bar nearby. Vegetarian and a list of organic wines to choose from by the glass. We booked in the afternoon and got the last table.

I was really surprised in a positive way. I don't often eat vegetarian but this was a very enjoyable meal. Must try the ratatouille. The place is also so pretty.

We tried all the vegetarian options and everything was delicious. The tomato on the salad are out of this world and the Marco wine was the best wine I had in Italy. I definitely be going back whenever. I’m in Florence.

Lovely little restaurant close to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. They are all vegetarian and offer some vegan items. The menu changes daily but everything looks delicious on the menu I ordered the tagliatelle with a vegan ragu (no Parm) which was amazing. The first pasta I have eaten during my visit to Italy since I can't always count on the pasta being egg free. This place is family owned and you can tell they really put their heart into the restaurant. My waitress was not part of the family but she was friendly, explained menu options and was attentive. If you're vegetarian or vegan, you must come here while if Florence. And, even if you're not vegetarian, why not try a new place with good food?

I loved the spaghetti with the broccoli sauce. I highly recommend both the goat cheese and Cecina with stracchino starters. They have vegan and gluten free Options as well.

I’m really sad because I had high hopes for this restaurant reading the reviews. The place is cute, has a good atmosphere and the staff is nice. Unfortunately I’ve had better vegetarian dishes in non-vegetarian restaurants in Tuscany. The seasonal salad was more than basic and the polpettone and the soup weren’t very tasty. The cecina with cheese raised the bar, but the menu was globally very cheese-heavy. I hope their changing menu makes it better at some other time.

A truly, exceptionally lovely meal! My husband & I stopped in for lunch to enjoy some light vegetarian dishes and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by (I think) the owner and an incredibly kind and warm server. I think they were a little surprised to see 2 American vegetarians, haha. We started as the only 2 in the place, and they kindly explained everything to us and recommended a glass of the local orange wine. I love Tuscan orange wine & it was the perfect recommendation for this very hot day! We had some incredibly fresh hummus! And then my linguini with basil pesto, lemon, and ricotta was beyond incredible. It was fresh, light, and the perfect size. Easily one of the top 2 meals I’ve had in the last 3 weeks in Italy. Please go here, you will not be disappointed.

This hidden gem, is far from the super touristy area, situated in …, small now fully vegetarian and authentic old restaurant has a very charming chill vibe to it. We ordered the ceci (which the restaurant is named after) as an appetizer. It was mind-blowing. When we bit into the crispy exterior with the warm and almost runny interior, we knew this was gonna be our new obsession. I ordered the rice dish with mushrooms and seasonal veggies, simple yet delicious. My girlfriend had the leek quiche with an amazing spicy carrot salad. “Perfection, that’s exactly what I needed.”

This charming vegetarian spot is a true delight. The friendly owner curates a small yet seasonally inspired menu that beautifully blends childhood memories from Genoa with occasional oriental twists. The place is not only a feast for the taste buds but also a visual treat, with its adorable decor. From the warm welcome to the last bite, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and flavorful vegetarian experience.

Fantastic!!! Lovely, tasty vegetarian food served by friendly staff in a beautiful location. The quality of the food was seriously impressive. Overall very good food but wow - the desert! Not just best desert we’ve had in Florence but probably Italy! The menu changes often but if you read this in the next few days go get the ricotta and ginger cylinder. You won’t be disappointed.

Vegetarian restaurant on a cozy square. The interior and general atmosphere were nice as well. We showed up without a reservation just when they opened and luckily they had a spot for us. The waiter gave us recommendations and explained about the origin of the dishes. The focaccia we had as a starter was very nice, we had expected a bit more from our primi but it was still fine.

Do NOT come here if you don’t speak Italian. My husband and I stopped for lunch based on positive reviews. The other patrons were Italian but waitress was nice and provided us English translations with their menu and we ordered without problem. But English is apparently a ~*big problem~* After ordering, a person who I’m assuming was the owner started making rounds to each table. When he tried to converse with us in Italian, I embarrassingly asked “English?”, because it is embarrassing to be in another country where you don’t speak the language. This prompted a minutes-long rant from the presumed owner about speaking English. At first we tried to laugh it off- “haha we know, it is bad we don’t speak Italian, so sorry”- but he just continued and continued and continued…bringing in colonialism and that we were “too rich” to know another language (??). He briefly left and then came back to say that he was “just joking but was also telling the truth”. It was very embarrassing and ruined our lunch. We ate quickly and left as fast as we could. At the end the owner came back to ask if we were mad at him... Anyway, the food was solid but it was not worth this bizarre interaction. I hope this guy never has to visit a country where he doesn’t know the language!! Tourists beware!!

One of the best restaurants in Florence. Beautiful, cozy interior and simple yet refined plates. Everything is organic and locally sourced and the menu is vegetarian, but caters to all tastes--it feels like beautiful Italian food that happens to also be vegetarian. An amazing breath of fresh air among the typical Tuscan trattorias, which can be quite heavy! Love this place and think you will too. Oh, and definitely order the marjoram pesto if it's on the menu!

We had a great experience at 5 e Cinque. Already when coming in, you’ll feel the familiar atmosphere, paired with authentic interior. We were helped with the Italian menu immediately, and it was good to hear all the recommendations. The classic entree is the focaccia, and it hit the spot. The waiter even asked whether the temperate of the water was ok? Didn’t know that was a thing but that’s my new standard now. Thanks for hosting us, 5 e Cinque (on the 5th of May…destiny?).

Fantastic plant based and vegetarian food that even our picky meet eating daughter loved! The food inspires me to try to cook something similar at home.

It was my birthday 🎂yesterday and we decided to take a one day tour to Florence from Milan. Our hotel concierge highly recommended us this vegetarian restaurant in Florence but reminded us that we need to be on time as their opening lunch hours up to 3pm. Unfortunately everything didn't go according to our plan. Our train got delayed due to technical problem, then we had hard time to hail a taxi for more than half an hour. We called 5ecinque at 1345 (we booked our lunch at 2pm),I think its the owner who answered my call. I told him that our train got delayed and we will be there maybe 15 min late. He was understanding and tell me that don't worry he will keep the table for us. At that time we didn't know that we gonna face difficulties on getting a taxi. We only got on one 🚕at 1430.😢 I was too ashamed to call and told them what actually happened to us. So to this lovely restaurant and owner that we did not get to go, we owe you a 5 stars compliment for keeping the table for us. We're sorry we couldn't make it.😔 Hope we will be able to visit if we go to Florene in the future.

The food is really delicious and fresh. Prices decent, restaurant is cute. If only the service could be just as nice... Both waiter and waitress seem to not want to be here. From the waitress I couldn't get a single smile, even after many attempts from my side and some real effort in Italian. The day after, as I am travelling alone, I thought I would ask if I could order to take away. I introduced myself and said I ate at the restaurant the previous night. They answered that they were afraid they wouldn't have enough food for their clients. To which I said it's a shame, I was looking forward to a portion of pasta, since I enjoyed last night's dinner. "Sorry" they said coldly, before hanging up. Wow, not expected... will not go again.

The food was okay but ver small portions and overpriced. The service was unfriendly and and gave us a table with 20cm width that was placed in the entrance and not even in the restaurant. Would not recommend this place.

I made a reservation for my birthday dinner for two. The pasta was delicious, the dessert was not my taste.

I liked it! The server was very helpful with the menu since it is in Italian, which we do not speak, and Google translate only goes so far. The food was good but not amazing. I would go back and try another dish if I came back to Florence.

Cozy little place in the heart of Florence. Great care of the plates and their produce. Great selection of wines and beer. Sober and minimal with an Italian touch.
